You know you're scratching the bottom of the barrel when the only possible negative is the portions are too generous 😹
Amazing upmarket pub food, delicious beer and attentive staff. This place is not one to miss!

WOW 👌 what Giant size meals.. great value for money. fantastic wait staff prompt service and happy to serve with smiles on there faces. Highly recommended😊 awesome atmosphere .Family friendly 👨👩👦

We ordered the Crown deluxe for two. The chicken starter came out and was divine! The main tray had wings, wagyu beef cheek, pulled pork, lamb ribs, slaw and pickles and a separate serving of Mac and cheese as well as chips. Comparing this meal to a recent similar one in Sth Melbourne, the Crown wins hands down! Suffice to say that we struggled to finish everything. We will be back for sure. Apologies as we started smashing the tray before taking the pic. 😆

Went out for dinner here on a Saturday night. Pretty loud, even in the bistro. That said, it's a bar too so I guess that is to be expected. Large serves for mains. My partner had a platter for 1 of smoked meats and loved it. My parents on the other hand had rib eye steaks that were unfortunately very sinewy. It made it very difficult to even cut. I had the slow cooked steak sandwich, and it was delicious. The service was top notch, and very attentive. Prices were on the slightly expensive side, but they were large portions.

Was extremely disappointed with the service and attitude of the Manager and his staff while waiting at the main bar to get a drink. The staff kept serving patrons from beside and behind me while totally ignoring me standing right in front of them at the bar. When I did mentioned something the tall older barman said calm down we'll get to you when we're ready as we are busy or we dont have to serve you at all. They were not busy with mostly just 1 person deep across the bar.
I myself have worked in bars and stadiums in Sydney suburbs and Kings Cross with 6-8 people deep at the bar and we handled it more efficiently than this small country town pub with lots to learn.
When I returned to our table I was informed that the rude barman was actually the pub manager who in my opinion needs a major attitude adjustment himself, so no wonder the other staff couldn't perform their duties on a larger scale than normal.
I definitely wont be returning to this establishment any time soon.
Thanks for the sour experience left by the pub of a town that desperately needs more visitors to survive when times get tougher.

Very disappeared with my food yesterday. I ordered chickens burger but the cauliflower burger was served. I'm quite shocked to see how dark the batter were and was relieved that it was wrong order. However the chicken burger was even worse, the batter was so black and the meat was really thin. I was surprised that they think it's ok to served the food look like these. Time to change the deep fry oil!
I would like to give feedback but the girl who served us food was not interested to interact, smile or having eyes contact.
The DJ played cool and fun music though.

The refurb was impressive, the food was amazing and the service was top notch! Both my husband and myself would highly recommend a visit to the bistro for any locals or visitors to the area. The meals are big though, you'll need to take home an extra meal of which they provide containers with no problem or we might plan to share a main next time and just ask for an extra plate :)

The atmosphere was great. The chicken burger was delicious although it was huge and I couldn't finish it all. Service was wonderful even on a busy Saturday night.

Second time eating here i had fish&chips last time and it was good so ordered same again but rather disappointed this time 😕 Fish was bit too greasy and chewy and too top it off a hair in-between fish and the batter 🥺 plus salad was just green leaves with onion no 🍅🥒 and no coleslaw like last time. Partner enjoyed his Parma.

Quite possibly the best pub fish and chips I've ever had. Absolutely sensational and very generous with 3 pieces of fish.

Only went for the food, so can't speak too much about the sports bar aspect, but it seemed popular and the screen situation looked 1st class.
We attended for Saturday lunch. Couldn't fault the food in any way, so 5 stars, which I don't give often. Service was good despite a large crowd.
Food appears to have a USA influence, lots of BBQ, pickles with almost everything and American style serves. Not cheap, but if you like big serves, this is your place.

nice inside, staff friendly. We just had fish, chips and salad, was surprised when meal came out with salt already added to fish and chips and a lot of salt, would much prefer to add our own if needed or wanted, the fish disn't taste like flathead at all. Other meals we seen being served where large so you wouldn't be disappointed. Over all we were disappointed with our meal, but would go back and try something else.

Lacks ambience. Big tv screens and lots of tiles. Not my taste in surroundings. Chips were excellent. Fish of the day was a very small portion served only with parsnips! Partner did not enjoy the steak.

It's a clean looking pub inside and out, lovely welcoming service. The Meat Pie I had for lunch would be in the top 3 of all meat pies ever eaten by this humble contributor. Reasonable wine list by the glass

Great service, very tasty food. Very American menu. We had the Queen Burger, King Burger and the shared Crown Deluxe (for two). All was super tasty! There are a few vegetarian options but it is a very meaty menu.
Afternoon live
music started around 3pm in the backyard area (Sunday), sounded good. Will go again!

Great pub food, good prices. Went back again and this time had the rib eye, it was one of the best steaks i have ever eaten and i have been to plenty of fancy steakhouses around the world, absolute gem of a spot and the staff are super friendly.

First time to the Crown Hotel in Traralgon. What an amazing pub, fantastic welcoming service, great atmosphere and wonderful meal… Will be back for sure - loved every moment. We had the parma and a the ribs and one of the best meals we have had - thank you!!

An exceptional experience , Staff switched on ,food absolutely the best , sensational beer batter on fresh gummy shark , and garlic prawns to die for .
this was our first visit but it will not be the last ,friendly service ,pleasant surroundings ,relaxed atmosphere
you will not be dissapointed generous servings .

Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere and lovely staff. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the traditional schnitzel and creamy garlic prawns, so good!
