We have always enjoyed the amazing food and service at Deception Bay Tavern. Staff members Michelle, Acacia, Tabitha and Joe looked after us tonight and made our experience a memorable one. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming that we highly recommend you drop in for a meal and dessert.

We had our mother’s wake recently at deception bay tavern and ordered platters that were well presented and freshly made.
3 platters served about 30 people with more to take home. Terry and the team did an amazing job thanks again.

Was a very disappointing visit. I use to be a regular, whenever anyone would ask me where the best chicken schnitzel is I would say here, However after today I would not be recommending it. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and the parmi. The schnitzel use to be perfectly cooked and the crumbing would be full of flavour and seasoning, now it’s over cooked and rubber like with no flavour, The garden salad was actual salad with lettuce, rocket, red onion. not coleslaw.. The parmi was also over cooked and very light on marinara sauce.
The staff were amazing as always though and service was quick. This was during the lunch period.

Walking distance for me eat there 1 or 2 times a week. Good meals. Porkies don't pay out for me but see others get payouts.(see them put it all back trying for the bid one)

This place killed those stinking hot days at the end of summer, couldn’t get there fast enough after knock off some day’s. Was so glade at Easter, to see our honest Deception Bay and the great bar staff put a smile on my face when I got my lost wallet back, all still accountable for. Still one of the favourite spots to unwind.💕🍻

The staff are absolutely incredible here and the chefs are straight up magicians. The pork belly appetizers are a must. The steak are so tender and juicy and the prices aren’t ridiculous like most “pub restaurants.” Thank you so much to all staff and kitchen staff. I’ll be back for that pork belly alone.

The food was very well cooked and delicious, was made and served in a very timely matter and the staff were wonderful and very friendly. Great family atmosphere.

Thank you so much for the delicious meals my family of 5 had tonight for my son's 19th birthday. The steak was cooked to perfection and my husband loved it. Although didn't get drinks for my 3 kids meals ordered but we all enjoyed our meals. Our very first time tonight and will definitely be back. Your CHEF is a KEEPER hi 5..The customer service as well was great. Thank you..

So good to see great food coming out of the kitchen with the change of kitchen staff (Chef’s). You can taste the difference, happy to come and dine again. Thank you for a lovely meal. Service team are always amazing 🤩

Popped in for a quick lunch today ! Not locals , travelling from nsw ! Greeted by a beautiful friendly staff member (did not get her name , but black hair in neat ponytail)! She was so lovely ! Food was simple but awesome! Probs will never get back there ! But would not hesitate to recommend!

Our group has dined here previously and have always a great experience. Last night was no exception apart from a minor gliche with my meal coming out a bit later. I was informed and when Jason brought my meal out l was also given a complimentary Shiraz. Thank you to Ella, Acacia, Tabitha, Michelle and Jason. Also chef and hard working staff in the kitchen. Highly recommend . Yummy food and absolutely wonderful staff.

On weekends, this place gets quite crowded with many customers. However, the steak they serve here is incredibly delicious. I look forward to visiting again with my family.

My family and I have just had dinner and dessert at the tavern tonight.
The service is lovely and nice.
Dinner was lovely and nice. I believe maybe the club sandwich i had fir dinner could have a toasted bun with it, instead of just the bread used.
I must say though, that the crem-bruley thay have, for the price. Is the most beautiful and exquisite bruley i have ever tasted. 🫶😋

Lovely place for dinner with the family and friends great service and friendly staff 1 meal wasn't to flash but was instantly replaced with a meal of choice couldn't be happier thankyou for a wonderfully evening

Lovely little venue with great staff. Jo was amazing every time we were served by her. Very friendly and went out of her way when we had a mischievous game piece run away and hide (in plain sight) from us. We all had wonderful meals and also had desserts which were also really good.

Loved our dinner. Acacia and Amy's service has us hooked and can't wait to book again. Food 100% on point and well priced.
Service was amazing tonight.
Special appreciation to Acacia and Amy who were our servers for the night, loved how friendly and the service from staff from our server's were 10 out of 10.

I was a regular member of the pub, I moved away 2 years ago and upon visiting tonight I was bitterly disappointed. I had flown in from Adelaide and wanted to have a few drinks with my partner and play the poker machines. The front bar was closed and when I went to the back bar, there were a few people standing around. I stood at the bar with my money in hand and was completely ignored by the one bar tender who was either chatting with a female friend or trying to tune up a customer for later on. I was ther for over 5 minutes, not more than 2 metres away and was completely ignored.
Even a wait a minute or some sort of acknowledgment would have made a difference.

Is good. Is pub. You go in sober, coming out drunk. No lounge area. You are there for drink. For this it is good. If you want woman, this is there, just not very pretty one. But drink until pretty and no problem.

I recently visited Deception Bay Tavern with my family.
I tried the grilled chicken with roasted vegetables, and it was delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked.
Everyone was satisfied about food and the service provides.
I highly recommend the Deception Bay Tavern for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Good friendly staff l dined with two others there meal of chicken was great twice l asked for well done steak what l got was very burnt meal hard charkol edging on my meat way over cooked showed steak to waitress who handed me a feed back card very disappointing meal

Everything was great apart from the parmy. For the price you would think it was real chicken breast that you crumb yourself so that was disappointing. Staff are great

Best service especially for the from the lady and chef work on 26/3. The best food we had from tavern after long time. We had the pork ribs with good flavour and portion, definitely good crunchy chips. Fettuccine up to standard and good portion

Been going for around 6 years and it used to be really good. Went tonight and the waitresses are all rude and seems you're annoying them by wanting a seat. Food is average but not nearly as good as other taverns in the area.

Atmosphere and service are excellent. The food is great value for money.
There must be a posh hotel somewhere with better food at 5 times the price, but value for money pubs and clubs food? This place is hard to beat.
