Wouldn’t recommend going to eat there. Unfortunately it was that bad I couldn’t eat my meal, no offer of replacing or not paying for it. Prices are top dollar but meals are substandard and seems like everything was cooked in the microwave, no chef in sight in the kitchen. If you want to throw your money down the drain consider going there and play the slot machines.

Well done! No I'm not talking about any steak. The Derrimut Hotel is on the rise with good food and friendly service. Keep up the good work. Extra mention for Pokies Staff. Thumbs up.

We had a great experience on Sunday for our Nunna's birthday. The staff were very efficient with our party of 40. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Would definitely return.

This is a response i was given to the negative feedback, i wrote for these types of venues.

OK, fair enough, yet that customer is no longer in a r/ship with and has lost his son for god knows how long.
Looks downhill for him actually. Yet you guys aimed to create a positive experience for your customers did not say? All A Part of the Fresh Food People scheme I guess.😊😉($$$)

This hotel has female manger who thinks she can rule the the whole world.she is super bitchy arrogant and tried to make her own rules.Just a piece of advice to that female manager if u be nice to people im sure they will come back but if u be a cocky and bitchy to ur customers they will tell 10 more people and soon ur workplace will shut down and then u will have to go back to ur jungle where u came from and then try making rules over there.
The food in this place is quite nice along with its other staff members although we had to wait a bit to give our order.

The service was friendly and attentve, thanks to Andrew. We received our meals quite quickly but they were less than expected. We ordered the home made bread with Goats Cheese in oil and Olives. There was plenty of all but the bread, which was a very
small portion and no where near enough for the large serve of olives and yummy cheese. So not too bad ?despite being too crisp and more charred than it should be.
The main course was a great disappointment. We both ordered the Eye Filet Steak done medium rare, with Tiger Prawns. Fantastic large prawns, and a delicious sauce. BUT, the steak!!! My husband's small serve of 100 gms or less, was very well done . Mine was 4 tiny pieces of meat that were heavily charred, tough and far more than medium, let alone medium/ rare. It was as if they had gathered up some left-overs and thrown them in the microwave. The potatoes were very nice, but I can't comment on the "baby" brocolli as it was far too undercooked to cut with the giant steak knife, that I dared not break my teeth on it.
When asked if we had enjoyed the meal, my husband only said that the steak wasn't medium-rare as we had ordered, but the cashier made no comment. Not a sorry, NOTHING!!
At more than $120 for one shared starter, two inadequate main courses (@ $47.50 each) and two drinks, I would expect something better.
We are not ones to complain as we are in the hospitality industry ourselves, but this was a poor performance.

The Dirty Derry has always been a reliable Pub Feed in the heart of the ‘wrong’ side of Sunshine.
Been going there for years, good spot for a cheeky beer in the sports bar as well.
10/10 would recommend!

Ordered our office take away lunch - six meals in total. We had ordered something where the ingredients hadn't been delivered that day so one of us got a free upgrade. The call to update the order came only minutes after placing it and the manager was friendly and helpful on the phone.
The food was good (chips were really nice) and value for money was great.
We'll definitely be back. Hopefully, next time to dine in. The space looks quite comfortable for groups up to 10ppl (I saw private rooms for larger groups, as well).

Ordered food from Uber Eats, parmigiana with raw chicken, horrible taste, impossible to eat, potatoes full of oil, they didn't pack the order properly, the parmigiana spilled in the bag and in the uber car. I do not recommend.

Nice staff
Friendly atmosphere especially nowadays a I heard couple of years ago not like mangers are running this place good these days
the Security guys especially Iranian guy who work at night makes this place safe and also he and other security guys have good communication with all types of gaming and gambling customers and it’s really hard in sunshine area especially late night time and weekends.
Other specificity of this hotel is that start early in the morning around 8am!!! Good for breakfast and early morning coffee
I did not tried food however drink /beverage are good 😌 and also this place provide accommodation

Nice place. Food was good, Staff were accommodating. Has pokies which ruins the atmosphere but if it didn't have them, it wouldn't exist.

It's been 12 months since my wife and I were here our daughters and partner had their first and we were staying in the units across the road. The staff made us feel like family understanding our away from home time and our daily travel to see our darling grandson a few miles away on a daily run. The food and service are pretty damn great. We probably won't be travelling back for some time as our daughter and family live close to us in WA however if we are in the area we will certainly be calling in for a meal and a chat, and possibly play the pokies

I really like it here; the waiter was great, efficient & helpful and the food is good too and that’s all I want & expect. It’s been dead quiet on the days I’ve been there so give them support, they deserve it.

If you are in the west and want a nice pub grub, this is the place for you. They have nice and clean facilities, friendly staff and a great menu. Now, If your up for a Parma! This is definitely the place to go to. This place has a " global" selection of Parmas. I strongly recommend the American inspired parma that has the JD sauce. We also has their porterhouse steak with mushroom sauce and I must say, it was on par.
I also recommend their cheesy garlic bread.

I find this place a bit of a disappointment. They have taken the free coffee machine away and they don't offer free soft drink beverages like the other pokies venues. It's a place that I don't like going to anymore. A lot of drunks hang around the the venue and carpark which gives it an unsafe feeling. Can't comment on the bistro as I haven't eaten in. But what I have seen of the meals dished out does look kind of amazing but I guess I would need to try before I comment.

Have been coming here for a few years now, but i do have to mention this week's interaction specially, after umming and ahhhing where we were going for dinner for our wedding anniversary, we decided to keep it local and head to the Derrimut Hotel - and we were not disappointed, the service was attentive and friendly (even after our 2yr old wheels fell off).
The food was outstanding and very hot and flavorsome, the drinks cool and tasty. All in All was a very enjoyable experience,
I look forward to coming back.

Great service great meal had my birthday there with my family service staff were nice/ pleasant the only down side is when turning up to the main entrance the smell of cigarette and marijuana use not a pleasant smell needs approving on the entrance smell other than that a great place for lunch a nice smell is a more inviting place to be yes l would recommend this place for a meal gathering birthday's

great food great service if I could rate this place higher it would be 10 stars best dish of the night was my lemon pepper squid wish I took a photo for you all too see but the camera wasn't fast enough lol but if your feeling hungry come down to the derriumt pub you won't be disappointed

Good food, friendly staff and nice security. I guess security deserves a raise as he handles the situation while there was a chaos. Liked the professionalism and way he create friendly atmosphere.

Food is always good here, Parma & Carbonara is our go-to, have struggled to find a better carbonara anywhere else in Melbourne & the parma is always fresh & juicy, can't go wrong. Can't always finish it either, its a decent amount of food. They accommodate my annoying food requests (additions or remove) with no complaint. Bistro is frequently quiet which we quite like & food arrives without delay.
We order on ubereats or ring for takeaway quite often as we're local(ish) & pasta always turns up piping hot, even when delivered & again its a decent serving. Takeaway always quick maybe 15mins til pickup. Just wish the kitchen was open a bit later sometimes, we'd probably order more often if it wasn't 'unavailable' on ubereats.
Staff are friendly & welcoming & remember us which is nice though & i quite like the Brown Brothers Moscato.
No doubt we'll be back there very soon
