We went to Diggers for dinner on Sunday evening . The staff were very friendly, pleasant and happy. There was plenty of food on our plates. 3 pieces of fish and chips (which were hot ) and varied vegetables for my husband,. A seniors fish for myself with ample and varied vegetables. Our only criticism with the veggies is that it could have been hotter. The prices were very reasonable.
The desserts were varied and they all looked very inviting. I had the lemon and lime cheesecake with cream, very nice.
We had a complimentary breakfast the next day because we stayed at Club Mulwala We had the big breakfast which was lovely too. The only criticism again, it could have been hotter.

went to Diggers for lunch. Service staff seemed a little cranky, attitude came across as we are here because we have to be. I accept that working in hospitality the place was probably understaffed and hospo workers get underpaid, however, at least use some manners when dealing with customers. No smiles, no thank you, no nothing from the girl who took our food and drink order. Prices were reasonable.
Even though they messed up my order, they were very quick to fix it, (didn't seem happy about having to though), and serve what I had originally asked for. The food quality was very nice, large portion servings, and the seniors meals friends ordered were beautifully done. It is lovely that seniors get a choice of soup or desert with their meal.

Went here for lunch today with my Husband, we both ordered the porterhouse which was a CHUNK of meat one with salad and chips which their was about ten, one with vegetables and both with mushroom gravy OH the lack of, two bits of mushroom mixed with the juice of the steak which was thick and tough $26 each and drinks dearer than other places have been to many R S L s when travelling this one takes cake Diggers lift you game!!!

Waiting in line to order dinner while being told by rude staff that i and a number of customers were lined up in the incorrect locations. If you want customers to line up in the correct lines then start listening to your customers and make changes here are a few:
1. Enlarge your A4 posters at the front of each queuing line as they aren’t visible when you have customers already queuing.
2. Get rid of all your signage on the bar as it’s way too busy and confusing
3. Make the meal ordering queue easier access as it looked like it was closed last night.
Then while ordering my meal and asking for salad and vegetables instead of chips I was told this wasn’t possible. I asked the staff member if it was possible to at least ask the question on my behalf to the chef or management I was again informed that this wasn’t possible. While waiting for my meal I asked a staff member on the floor the question that answered to “sure no problems” and even brought the meals to our table, thank you 👍
To the rude staff members taking meal, drink and dessert orders especially the one with blonde long hair 👎do yourself a favor and change jobs as you obviously have no Customer service and please note that this came from a customer that was in the queue with me. It wasn’t necessary to speak to your customers and treat them like school kids getting into trouble. Remember they are your customers and not your enemys and to the staff member that couldn’t be bother asking for my order to be changed, it’s doesn’t take much to provide customers service. Give it a go next time instead of saying NO without asking or also get out of the hospitality industry 👎.

The rsl yarrawonga / mulwalla club is by far the best eatery around re value and taste. Had $12 steak tonight , it was lovely. Cheers

The food here is absolutely delicious, beautiful atmosphere and pokies area but sometimes the staff can be pretty unaware of people waiting for drinks.

Service is not priority at this place. Having stood around at the bar to get served seemed like eternity when only a handful of people were waiting. The 2 bar staff don't seem to serve in order of arrival either. Very slow, lack of variety in drinks, not the place I would want to visit again.

RSL Diggers Bistro Dining
Long queues to order food 35 mins.
Staff ordering taking food orders also making drinks.
Starters came out very quick, wedges cold and sent back, dumplings and duck spring rolls not great either in flavor or the way they were cooked.
Main meals came general feedback was food is ok a bit tasteless but the salmon came and it was off.
Staff on the floor were helpful and lovely but running.
Refund salmon x 3 but made us pay for new meal that they offered which no good restaurant would do.

Quick service at reasonable price. Food isn't 5 star but it's good value, Sitting on the balcony in summer is wonderful and you can take in the view of Lake Mulwala

Nice view from the corridor opposite mulwala lake. The food was good with affordable price but need to improve for extra gravy ,some of food will absorb faster. But totally good.keep it up and moreover it will be recommended to others.

I should preface my review by stating we have made a fatal mistake in holidaying in Yarrawonga/Mulwala early in the week. All my plans were out the window because nothing much opens til Wednesday!!
So with plan A and plan B falling flat, we asked a local “is there anywhere open for lunch?”
They sent us to Diggers.
All good signs in that there were big smiles everywhere on the staff. The meals are the usual “club fare”. But certainly plenty of it, and good quality. We had placed our order (roast of the day and lime squid) and sat down with a drink …. And our buzzer went off less than ten mins later.
It is reminiscent of the border clubs in that there are lots of tables in ranks, but they’ve made an effort and it had a nice feel.
Price wise, our two meals, a pint of beer and a big coke only set us back $61.
Great value.

Food was ok but customer service is terrible and non existent. Staff look like they don’t want to be there, especially the older lady with short blonde hair who was not very helpful

Food was great ,fresh and hot,very quick service and the staff were super friendly .Thumbs up guys and will definitely recommend your restaurant 👍👍⭐

Food tastes like it is just reheated. And considering you can see the schnitzels sitting on the shelf behind the serving area I'm thinking that's why. Ordered and received meals in less than 5 minutes. Not going there again very disappointed

Diggers is a typical large R.S.L. Dining, bars and pokies. But the view at the indoor-outdoor dining area overlooking lake Mulwala is one of a kind. Roast of the day and porterhouse were large and nicely cooked. What more could you want? Nice cold beer, lots of food, lovely lake views and good vibes. Life is wonderful.

03/02/24 The Security midget at the front entry needs training or sacked especially with his arrogance and rudeness in front of family with kids. Ordering food took 35-40mins in the queue as only one register plus them serving drinks. Ordered Chicken Parma and Pork ribs, both meals were delicious but kid’s spaghetti wasn’t that nice for the kids. Overall the atmosphere inside was good definitely will be back for meals.
