You could spend the whole day in there. You could bring your laptop, or a book and stay in a comfy quiet corner behind the coffee shop. The food in all restaurants and coffee shop are all good.

Two handy tips - become a member, it’s cheap and you’ll instantly gain access to discounted food and beverages. Tip 2, if you’re planing on eating in the bistro here, when you order you’ll be asked which table that you’re sitting at - so, before you order, secure your table, remember the table number, then order. We ordered the Atlantic salmon and a steak - both meals were great. And a person, from the kitchen, delivered the meals to our table. This club has been clean every time that we’ve visited. The club is well known for its cheaper meals, cafe, friendly atmosphere and gambling facilities- in fact, an area not far from the front foyer has been recently converted to a sports bar with gambling machines and an extremely large TV - it’s a punter’s paradise. Staff have always been friendly at this club. A sign at the club today says that the current bistro area is about to be upgraded, and the bistro will be moved temporarily upstairs. The facility is wheelchair friendly. The club is located in a handy position - opposite the train station and taxi rank - the bus stops are listed one block away. There’s plenty of on-site car parking spots here.

This review is strictly for bailey's bar. I've ordered food twice from bailey's bar and both times it was terrible. First time, I ordered nachos - everything tasted store bought and artificial. I was starving and I couldn't (*didn't want to) finish it. Second time, I ordered the 'foot long' German hotdog - foot long it was not! Tasty it was not! Again everything tasted awful. The sauerkraut had the texture and flavour like it came out a can that's been sitting in the fridge for a few months. The sausage was underwhelming and had no snappiness to it. Eating it made me feel sad. I've honestly had better sausage at bunnings. The rest of the venue is good. The service is nice, the place is always clean and the kids play area is family friendly. The food at Vincent's and the bistro are worth trying. Just stay away from bailey's bar.

The Vietnamese restaurant in here is cheap and cheerful, and we've been there a number of times. It's good, but we've recently decided to check out the bistro and it did not disappoint. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. The service through the whole establishment is also nice and friendly. Pleasantly surprised.

The standards of the club has dropped drastically. Waited almost an hour for food at Lloyd’s. Sat at a table that hadn’t been cleared. The suited fellow cleared a small portion, and we waited an hour, and asked two different waiters to have the table cleared. We got to the Bistro at 1920hrs, and the table was finally cleared at 2019hrs, so we can proceed to eat our food. The photos shows that we had moved the previous plates/cups to the end of the table, and we had wiped our end down with disinfectant wipes that we had brought along with us. What happened to the floor managers who would walk around and ask if everyone was good/happy?

The space is large, the environment is elegant, there are many different partitions, and the restaurant and entertainment areas are well arranged.

Service was good but wouldn't recommend eating at the Sports Bar. The pizzas were decent. Pepperoni & supreme. Loaded fries were cold. Korean chicken was cold, old, dry, tough. Nothing like korean chicken. Nachos weren't great either.

Security a bit over the top. Not very friendly staff. Very uninviting. The restuarant had no service . No atmosphere. The sports bar a lot better with music and more people sitting around. Meals are quite expensive but ok standard .

Pretty good club services out there. A handful of good restaurants selection. Love the pho noodle soups. Going there on weekly basis.

Nice food considering how busy the club is; many entertainment options available. Got bbq chicken pizza, prawn linguine, chips, etc. Nice venue overall.

Lidcombe Dooley's used to be a great place to visit. Unfortunately, it's just not the same place it used to be. Bistro prices are higher than average. Staff are like robots, you don't get service with a smile.

I went in at 3:10pm today and that security lady checking the id's and membership isn't very friendly, she is customer service orientated, when i walk in she is looking at me weird then she doesn't say hello or anything like that. I think she needs customer service training. Customers want to feel welcome and expect good customer service even from a security guard.

I was accused today by the security guy checking ids & membership cards at the John Street entrance. Right after he swiped my card, he asked me where I'm from and he said I look like I'm from the country where big people live.(He said the name of two countries). So I asked him why and then he made a gesture of spreading his arms out on both sides and said, 'Because you are big!' I was so shocked and didn't know what to do. I asked him to apologize and he did, but I believe that strict action should be taken against this employee from the Dooleys employee management officer. This incident will really remain a trauma as I have been visiting Dooleys for many years and have always been warmly welcomed by all staff.

It's a typical RSL club with all the facilities you'd come to expect from such a club. It's big and comfortable with a couple of choices for dining. Good food. Good beer prices. Have been there several times and always pop in if I'm in the area. Definitely worth a visit.

I love my local Dooley's, the staff are always friendly would have given them at least a 4 star but today I was very disappointed. I was meeting up with my sister and mum and planing to have lunch at Vincent's Noodle House which i heard is great only to be turned away. We asked for a table for 3, the young lady at door said to my understanding that there is no table for 3 she has only big table I said that's fine. Then she said again no table, I confirmed by replying So no table for 3 ? She said no sorry. It was right on 12pm there were plenty of tables. We only wanted to haveva quick lunch. We decided to go to bistro but I was still upset about this as when I walked to have another look half an hour later there were still empty tables. I have worked in hospitality and never turned anyone away especially when not busy on a week day!

Great venue lots of different rooms and facilities, big place, huge, friendly, safe. Close to Railway station and bus stop. They provide a courtesy bus. Great for coffee, meals, lunch or dinner. Great Chineese restaurant upstairs with tasty food. Upstairs and downstairs few different choices food. Poker machine section allows smoking. Drinks reasonable price. Certain nights / days dance your feet off on the dance floor.

Did not make it in the door. A female can wear a singlet, but a male can't wear a muscle shirt. I should know by now, but had been out all day. So grabbed a meal elsewhere.

Customer service was outstanding from the security at the front door and cafe last Saturday as it was busy, plenty of parking space. The Vincent noodle house is the best spot at around 5pm with the great food and a view.

Chicken parmigiana was good. Agree with the other reviews the chips were poor - needs more salt / new supplier?

Casino, casino, casino. It might be a “Catholic Club” by name but by all other accounts it’s a good sized casino. No table games of the traditional sense either. Did I enjoy my time at this casino however…F*ck yeah I did! The presentation was lovely, the bar staff were tops and it was very clean and tidy. Got some good wins as well and I was keen to stay the night but sadly work intrudes and I had to be responsible. Anyway it’s another of these “clubs” that are casinos!

Came here last Saturday and the 2 check in ladies out the front were super friendly. The food isn't too bad if you want pub grub (garlic bread was delicious but the steak was ok), and the Dragon 8 restaurant was also a hit or miss (Laksa and Singaporean noodles were delicious but the 雪菜肉絲 was pretty bad), but not the best place to take really young kids if that's what you're after. Was super excited walking into this place for the kids play area. Unfortunately the excitement quickly dissipated as soon as we settled. A few things needed for improvement: 1. There is no enclosure for the play area so all 4 out of the 4 kids that we came with aged 1, 2, 3 and 4 all waddled out of the play area. We kept having to run out and stop the kids from running out the door so none of the parents could really relax. 2. There's only one restaurant on the same floor as the kids play area. It took us ages to find a way up to the Vietnamese restaurant as the lifts only went down for some reason. We then walked down the stairs only to find that that lift also only went down. When we asked the front desk, they said the restaurant was closed. Odd, as it was lunch time on a Saturday. While I was blindly navigating around, I stumbled upon a Chinese restaurant downstairs. Sadly the only eat in in its own establishment or take away. It would be more convenient if all the restaurants were all together in one food court kinda layout rather than scattered across different floors. It is clear they want people to spend some time on the pokie machines as there is a big room next to eat restaurant on each floor. This isn't the most family friendly "Catholic Club" as I'd hoped.

Came here for drinks one day after being at Rookwood. Signing in was easy and the staff were helpful and smiling. There is a good choice of places to sit and either eat or just have coffee or a few drinks. You can gamble if you wish to and the toilets are clean.
