When on a wendesday night for steak night had a good meal

We went today, waited for a staff member to seat us, but nobody behind the bar and know one in the bistro. Finally a staff member came and seated us and told us it was table service. |So we waited and waited and waited, one staff member over in the corner taking orders .|She didn't even look like coming back to us. So know drink know service. We got up and left.

Went today. Only one staff member for the bistro. Not friendly either. Kept us waiting and wouldn’t acknowledge us.
Food was well below par. Ordered small meal of fish and chips. Small was the operative word. Fried flake was about 6 in long ! Salad was coarse and pretty ordinary.
Give it a big miss.
Disappointing.
Left hungry 😩

We book a table for 20 every year we have always had only good things to say but this time out of the 20 of us not even one our meals come out the way we ordered it the meals come out in a space of over an hour and not together and who brings out kids meals last well this place now dose very disappointing

We are new to this area, and our son & daughter in-law took us out for dinner here and it was amazing, friendly staff, food is the best hotel meal I’ve have had in a long time. Lots of variety on the menu to choose from. And it’s open 7 days a week. Big thumbs up from me 👍😊

Two of us had dinner on Parmi night. Parmis were great. Service was quick. Nothing but a good experience. No complaints. Reasonably priced.
Will definitely come back to try more parmi's!

Took our 4 young kids here for dinner and the service and food was great. Prices were good and the play area kept the kids entertained. Only downside was that the kids menu was very limited. Will come again next time we are in the area.

This hotel has been clean ,friendly,staff are ready to help,meals are very tasty, good all round country pub, 50 years.

They got my order wrong and then completely turned me off, the guys behind the bar are very nice but the food was pretty good

Stopped in for lunch on 7/2/23. Ordered the calamari and lamb pizza from the lunch specials menu. Absolutely brilliant food! Fantastic serving size and the pub had a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back sometime.

Some big changes in the kitchen, meals are unbelievable compared to what they used to be. One of the best steaks I’ve had, if the meals keep coming out that good I’ll continue eating here weekly

Overall, a pleasant experience. Meals and prices quite good. Reason for only 4 stars is because they don't have low fat milk for coffees, nor do they have decaf. Both are for medical reasons. To make it worse, apparently the boss has been asked about these before, and he says "No - we're a pub, not a cafe."
Maybe won't go there again.

Our family held a funeral at Sheahan's Funerals opposite the pub and thereafter had morning tea wake at the Drysdale Hotel. The service, food & venue was excellent. The sandwiches in particular were divine with many attendees commenting on their flavoursome freshness. Other hot finger foods & cakes were also lovely. Approximately 50 mourners were in attendance & all were attentively looked after by the bar & wait staff. Sincere thank-you to the owner Tony who personally assisted with the planning of the event.

My brother n I were travelling thru Drysdale n decided to have lunch at the pub.We both ordered Filet Mignon with prawns which was cooked to perfection as well as the presentation n service. We couldnt believe that a small country pub could be so good. 10+/10

Make sure you book in for dinner as this place can fill up quick. Luckily for us, bistro meals in the bar were a great back up!! Plus we were hosted by two of the best bar keeps I’ve seen in a while. Very friendly and quick to check in on your needs. Food was well priced and very tasty.

Just eaten here the chicken parmigiana was tasty mashed potato and fine however the accompanying vegetables Brussels sprouts carrots broccoli were very undercooked almost raw and uneatable very nice .manager red hair addressed the issue apologised and l was impressed thankyou

Great food and service. I had the Chicken Parmigiana which was delicious and big. Hubby had the Pork Chop special which was huge and also delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Four of us went for dinner Easter Saturday. Two of us unfortunately ordered the chicken schnitzel. It had been deep fried and was one shade off burnt. If the schnitzel had not been so paper thin maybe it would not have been so crunchy. I ordered chips and veggies and got chips and salad instead. It was a very overpriced meal. No chicken breast in this schnitzel. Do not recommend. Except for the lovely girl who served us would have been one star.

came for lunch for the last two Tuesday. Great lunch specials. Had the steak and parmi, Both were delicious. $18 is a great price for pub lunch.🥩

Booked a table of 10 + high chair and all was well arranged, I and 2 others had the fisherman’s basket $32 and was disappointed, really oily and seemed to be fried in oil that was old, the flathead (1piece) was bland as was the scallops (2) and the Calamari seemed like a last minute fry up, not value for money I’m afraid, the steaks were good as were the parmas and kids meals, service was friendly and prompt 3.5 out of 5 for me

The ladies serving were professional and polite, fulfilled every request food came out promptly hot and fresh, Honestly one of the best meals I've had in Geelong in years well done to the Chef , We will be back, Thank you for a great night

As large a large family group we attended Drysdale Hotel for an evening dinner. Both bar and bistro was packed to capacity and staff very busy. As a returning customer l was pleased to see a new and much improved menu. The chefs/kitchen staff were under duress due to the amount of meals ordered, but after a patient wait we were rewarded with delightful meals coming out 4 at a time for a group of 12. Nil complaints from anybody and very much enjoyed. Top marks to kitchen staff and thankyou for an enjoyable experience.
