We went for lunch, waited over an hour for a parmigiana and steak. Watched peole arrive after us and leave before us. We sat in the beer garden, which was nice, but hot quite quickly. Wasnt pleasant for the fur baby either.

Went with family and lots of kids aged two to twelve.
The playground there is good for the younger kids. A bit small for the bigger ones.
Lots of beer and spirits on offer. They have a lot of local beer and cider on tap.
Kids had chicken nuggets, fish and chips. Standard fare the kids, they both ate everything on the plate.
Colouring sheets and pencils kept the kids busy until food arrived.
I had the scotch fillet steak with mashed potatoes and brocelleni. Steak was on the rarer side of medium rare and was wonderful.
My partner got the chicken schnitzel with chips. The schnitzel was larger than most, she couldn't finish it all.
Tuesday night was trivia night if you are interested in that kind of thing.

Very well situated Tavern. Super cosy both inside and outside. Meals are amazing.

Unfortunately I would say very average 2.5 stars. My garlic prawns were ok but my husbands beef and Guinness pie was not good, the meat was burnt and the jus was liquid salt, chips are just ok.

Tried to book a table at Dunsborough Tav today for a family lunch, we called ahead and asked if there would be any gluten free options for my coeliac son and were told nothing was suitable except the adult steak or fish meals. This is fine, we don’t expect his dietary requirements to be catered for everywhere we go, so we asked if we could bring our own food for him seeing there was nothing on the menu suitable for him to eat. Disappointingly the floor manager told us that it would be against their policy for us to bring any food in for my 5 year old and we could order the steak, fish or smashed broccoli for him, or choose to eat somewhere else. We enjoyed a lovely meal at Clancy’s Fish Pub instead!

There is an indoor playground in the restaurant to keep the kids occupied. It is a bit stuffy in there but it does not stop the kids.
We waited for quite a while ~30mins for the food. The food taste great. The fish and chip is crispy. The rigatoni montanara taste OK too and not too salty, the kids like it.

The food was very good, share plates, the kitchen staff were lovely. Our experience was that it's a bit of a rough venue, not for the faint-hearted, the bar staff's general attitude and venue's lack of cleanliness may be a result of this, and suited to it. But we did have fun watching all the people and the antics, and again, the food was very good. It was definitely an Aussie pub experience.

The food here is good and we liked that the place opens till late. It was our first time here so we were not sure what to order. We ended up copying the table next to us and got the chicken parmigiana. We also got items off their special menu of the day such as the blank squid ink spaghetti. We also liked that we could get tomato ketchup and vinegar and Thai chili sauce to go with the chips.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food portions were large and we had a fantastic dinner amidst the lively atmosphere. Easy to get street parking.

Spent Cup day at the pub and it was brilliant.
Being from Melbourne we wondered what the pubs would be like for the day being a Tuesday.
It was brilliant they put on a full on VIP area and lots of people dressed up.
They did a fashion show which was alot of entertainment.
They got smashed at the bar as the place was packed but they still did a really good job.

Old pub and not so great smell around the place! Maybe it’s time to change the carpets!

Not great. We had the salmon starter which I enjoyed. Parmys we’re not good. Very overcooked with just a slice of packet ham on top. BLAT was average. Chips were bland.
Lots of kids in this place so I guess good if you have kids.
We booked a table but we’re just inside the door which was cold when door was opened.
Wouldn’t be back.

Me and my wife went for a meal. Very undecided and hungry we ordered a variety of dishes. We both were blown away by how good everything was. My only suggestion is a better knife to cut the delicious cob loaf

Large pub in heart of Dunsborough- multiple areas from bottle shop, public bar, lounge & beer garden with very big screen.
Staff are friendly & keen to have a chat.
Good variety of drinks, with menu fairly standard pub fair - we had a steak & a schnapper pie. Steak was cooked well but a bit tough & apparently the pie was spot on.
Well located with lots of free on street parking available. Had a feel it would go off on Friday night & weekend sessions

I've had 3 porterhouse steaks in 2 days. The food is incredible. Well worth the trip down south. Alicia and Sabastien were a good laugh and great value. Sports bar was the place to be

It's pretty clear you're not welcome unless you're local. There was a grumpy, rude, older lady behind the bar. Very friendly to the locals but extremely rude to tourists. The food was good and well priced but the drinks were expensive.

Its a bold statement but I just had the best steak sandwich, all of the fresh stuff was actually fresh, lettuce and tomato. The steak was cooked perfectly it wasn't too chewy and the cheese was melted on the steak as well.
My partner had the lamb shanks and that was also delicious. I only tried a small bite of the lamb but it was amazing.

Had the pleasure of having a few drinks and a pub feed while down south at the Dunsborough Tavern on the weekend. Awesome atmosphere and was always served by the bar staff with a smile on their face. Clearly a well led team and I look forward to my next experience as I will definitely be going back

Great place and lovely ambience. Just the wait was too long, about 45 minutes, and my boys were a bit too bored. Otherwise, I fully recommend it. It was worth the wait.

Good sports bar!
Staff were attentive and good. They were happy to change channels for you and volume around.
3 pool tables and table tennis. Good outdoor seating and many screens.

Food was great - and the playground for kids is awesome. Some nice little touches like QR code ordering and take away boxes and sauces that were easily accessible. The colouring pages and pencil station for the kids was great too.

Fabulous atmosphere, great serving stuff.
Most beautiful chef, I ordered spiced chicken supreme. As name says no, it’s noting to make your mouth burn, it was most beautiful meal I have had at pub in years. Thank you all, you made our stay even more pleasant 💕

Evening meal for two plus our poodle. Love that it has a pet friendly area. Great service and atmosphere and very cosy in front of the big screen and next to the open fire 🔥 Really cold beer 😋 A few more non-meat options such as halloumi burgers and margarita pizzas would be awesome. Thanks for a great night 👍

Came with friends and family for some food.
There were around 10 of us, they forgot to cook my food and when reminded forgot again which meant that I was eating my meal after everyone else had finished.
The place could do with a deep clean unless you don't mind sticky tables.
Upsides, they serve ice cold beer in an ice cold glass and the atmosphere was great.
Just needs whoever ownes or manages to walk it as a customer.

Came for mash potato… No mash. But omg the steak sandwich… OFF ITS CHOPS! Honestly life changing. And don’t even get me started on that cheesy bacon garlic bread. Hope the lady across from us is ok after my jeans button threatened to take her life. BLT was average but.
