What a great place off the Federal highway, gets busy and great music. Just stopped in for a quick beer. Good atmosphere. I was silly enough to sit outside which was a bit chilli though getting full. Thursday night raffles gets busy. Pizza and food looks amazing.

What a dining experience. You don’t have to cook it yourself but if you want to you can. Beautiful cuts of meat and the pizzas are great too.

We heard a lot of hype about Eagle Hawk, so we thought we would try it. We were very disappointed! We had to walk past a bunch of drunks shouting at each other, another guy stumbling around, and other rowdy drunks.
We eventually got to order some good which was nice but nowhere near as good as what people make it or to be. In addition to that, the prices are ridiculously high. $50 for a hot stone to cook the steak yourself, OR $60 - $70 for them to cook it for you?!? That is high end fine dining prices, and this place ain't fine dining!!!
Add to that the flies... sorry but we will not be going back, and i don't recommend this place!!! Sorry...

We had heard a lot about Eagle Hawk and it was nothing like what some people say it is like. The place is just a pub....and a rough one at that. We rocked up and saw drunk people yelling at each other, others stumbling around and others just swearing their heads of whilst some families with children tried to have their lunch/dinner. Lovely!!
The food is at best, average, but nice enough. The steak is nice but I would not price the $40 to $50 for hot stone cooked, or $60 to $70 for the kitchen to cook that for you?!?! That is fine dining prices and this place ain't fine dining!! Actually all the food was over $25...unless you got a Pizza!! (Which we didn't try)
In conclusion, the food is WAY overpriced for what you get!! The atmosphere is very rough and did I mention the flies everywhere?
I think you can guess, I will not be going back there any time soon, AND I do not recommend this place! Save your money as there are far better places in Canberra with a far better atmosphere....and for the same prices!!

We had a quick lunch here , and appears delicious , house made , Malaysian beef and rice was also very good, and we had freshly squeezed orange juice . The owner is really friendly , he gave us French fries for free , and it was served very quickly . The best value and best food on this highway

They say this place has the best steaks in Australia! Well, I reckon they come pretty close!
I loved cooking my own steak on a hot stone! And it saved me $5!!
BUT - Be ready for the fat to spatter on your clothes, so don't wear your best jumper! And it's smoky!! But it's sure worth it! I'll be back!!

The spicy schnitzel is sensational. It will burn you a new face hole but my god it was worth it. Last place to lung a dart and slap at the same time before Canberra.
Staff awesome, food great, presentation of the pub was amazing! Well done.
Didn’t win and blew a few hunge on the slappers but that’s the breaks.

The moment I stepped foot in here I loved the atmosphere, plus all staff was friendly.
The food prices and portions are amazing as well, definitely worth the buck!
Will definitely be back and this fabulous place is located just off the highway heading into Canberra

Nice place to grab some quick bites.
I really liked the fries as it was crisp and delicious. I really liked the aioli that accompanied it as it was spicy and tasty. The gnocchi was alright as it was tasteless and didn’t satisfy me.
Overall, it was a mediocre restaurant that could have provided more flavour

Meals were absolutely amazing!! Steak was cooked to our exact liking. Fish & chips were very fresh and kids enjoyed their meals too. Highly recommend this place for a food feed

I have visited Eagle Hawke a number of times and the food is always great value for money. The schnitzel is a large portion with just the right amount of crumb and cooked to a perfect golden brown. The green peppercorn sauce is heavenly, and as it goes well with everything. The salad and vegetables are always fresh and the pizzas are made the way I liked them with a thin base so there is more filling to base ratio. The team is well organised even on the busiest of days or nights, there is service with a smile and a good work culture with a sense of camaraderie amongst the staff. You don’t need to wait long for your food and it always comes out hot even on the coldest of winter nights. Located just outside of Canberra, it is worth making the small trip out for a good feed.

Hi all,
Eagle hawk pub located outside Canberra on the federal highway.
Mer friends there for a catchup. We had one stone grill, a cooked rump, a parmigiana, and a pizza 🍕. I loved the stone grill as my eye fillet cooked in front of your eyes. A generous mouth-watering eye fillet steak, a potato dish, and steamed veg with a great pepper sauce.
You save $10 by cooking the steak yourself. Everyone enjoyed their meals ! .. pizza comes from a wood fired pizza oven. Meals were value for money.. beer & wines were reasonably priced. There is a large eating area, open fireplace service quick , and tables well spaced. Give it a try

Great little pub, awesome food and even better value. The Schnitzel was massive and the pepper sauce was to die for, can’t wait to go back!

Good food. Steaks were over prices,though. Service was efficient. Atmosphere is a busy pub feel. Families, couples, and plenty of men drinking out the front of the venue.

First the good. Their steaks are really great, chips are crisp.
Now the bad. Their pizzas are awful. Base with cheese, a few toppings and sauce on top. No tomato base and no flavour such as herbs or spices.

Family and friends meeting up - was initially a bit concerned by the place but the food was amazing. Will try the stone grilled steak next time. Very popular venue

Busy when we went here. Service was ok on a super busy night. Food was amazing. Beef cheeks and rib dishes are a must try. Steaks they cook are the best. Tasty sides and huge serving size too!

Best stonegrill I've had. The stonegrill stones stay hot for very long, so no need to eat quickly. They offer many types of meats, and the sides are all nice.The place is nice and cosy. My favourite place for steak!

Best steak I've ever had!! Chips were 👌🏽 🍺 was even better!! Will be making the trip to Bywong from Sydney more often just so I can stop by Eagle Hawk Hotel for a steak

Beautiful rustic decor, nice fire place .
The Stone grill steak is juicy and tender. Highly recommended. Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Arrived 15mins before the kitchen close.
I ordered 400gr rump and the quality of the meat is good 👍.. i love the sauce and the vibe..
I can say the portion is kinda big..
I'm so full while driving back to canberra..
Will definitely go again to try other menu..

Amazing food, we've ordered tomahawk steak, king prawns on stone, and pork ribs. Everything taste so yummy and the portions are very huge size

After seeing their steaks talked up, went with the missus to give this place a shot. Initial impression wasn't too bad - ordered 2x the ribeye, chargrilled rather than cook yourself, medium rare - Food came out reasonably quickly despite how busy the place was, good size cuts with an appealing sear. Sadly things went south once we cut into them - absolutely cooked to boot leather. The insides were white as chicken, and these lovely cuts were now chewy and dry. Chips were obviously oven cooked frozen supermarket chips. Sauteed veg was decent. But yeah, given the price and the hype, this was just sad.

$10 more for a chargrilled meal than a stone grill is ridiculous as you get the same sides.
Would not recommend paying $13 for the steak topper, you get 3 prawns and 3 pieces of salt and pepper calamari (frozen type)
