We turned up on a fairly busy night in guessing. Lots of people there. However we got a table right outside the kids room, which was good because we could watch ours. There were stacks of kids in there. And there were games and blocks etc.
some of the kids in there were very disrespectful of the space. This could happen anywhere though.
bar service was slow but good selection. The main waitress on food was excellent.
food menu was great. I had the curry barramundi. It was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The kids pizza was super generous and delicious. The kids pasta was not very nice and had some weird, sweet, herby taste. My daughter wouldn’t eat it.
The kids meals came with a drink and ice cream included for $12. Great value.
My hubby had the ribs and he said they were just ok. Tender but not a lot of flavour.
All in all this was a really good stop and we enjoyed our visit.

We came to Edwards Tavern with 4 adults and 4 children.
I ordered the lamb cutlets. After starting to eat them I was concerned they were not edible as they were tough and had an odour. I asked the other 3 adults at the table to smell and try the food who all agreed it didn’t smell right and I needed to stop eating it and send it back. I alerted the staff. This is when it all went downhill. The staff were abusive accusing me of lying and telling me in front of my children that the lamb was fine and refused to refund me my meal. When I politely advised them that this was not the right thing to do the owner laughed and said he was a butcher by trade and I had no idea what I was talking about. They refused to refund my meal and instead said me and my family children aged 5,6,7 and 10 years old could leave. I have no words to describe the service we received. I would avoid dining here and if you choose to I would suggest to be careful with the food.
EDIT to add- 19 hours post eating I started having food poisoning symptoms and needed to see a Doctor. The doctor has since taken samples to confirm and the DR has notified the counsel who advised they will be in contact with the venue and will investigate.

We ate dinner at Edward’s Tavern twice on our drive to and from Melbourne - both times the food was fresh and delicious with generous serves, quality ingredients and all backed up with friendly welcoming service. Compliments to the chef are definitely in order here. You can also sit outside if you have a dog and our dog Billie was also made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend.

Very nice family oriented pub. Food is at a good standard with drinks to match (beers on tap attached in photos). Has a pool table and multiple fireplaces which were welcoming on such a cold night. There is also a children's area with televisions and gaming consoles. Really liked the wooden architecture and found the atmosphere down to earth. Will definitely visit again

Very happy with our meal and adding to our experience was the warmth from the logs burning in the fireplace on a somewhat chilly day.

this was a pleasant experience. the food was varied fresh and pleasing to the eye. the staff were very friendly helpful and accommodating there were lots of people eating and enjoying family gathered. need to book ahead a must. great place will call again

This was a great meal. Fantastic servings. The customer service was perfect. I highly recommend if looking for a classic pub feed.

This place used to be great the food has turned to be terrible.
We had the garlic prawns was flavourless bowl of soup. Far too much liquid with only 4 prawns.

The portion sizes where super big especially the pork belly they had on special. The quality was really good for a pub feed. Mostly the staff where awesome. They were really accommodating in setting up UFC replay on the tv. Thank you to the two blond waitresses.

The food is average. The customer service is atrocious. This business has no respect for its customers. Businesses across regional victoria need all the help and support after covid. This is not one of them!

The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff helpful and friendly, food came out so quickly and there was plenty of it.

Our motel manager recommended this venue and we weren’t disappointed. I chose the blackened steak with chilli prawns from the specials and it was huge (6 prawns!!). My wife ordered the brisket and struggled to finish it. We had a Pepperjack Shiraz and took the part bottle home rather than risk going over .05. Kids playroom, friendly staff and efficient service.

New to the Wodonga area and fortunate enough to be staying close by, so The Edwards Tavern has become our local. Fantastic staff, great wine selection and I’ve got to say …. The Bronson Pizza would be without doubt the best pizza I’ve had in many years. A perfect blend of toppings and spice, absolutely delicious! 😋 Can’t wait to return. Well done guys and girls! 👌

I highly recommend Edward’s Tavern after our experience having my son’s 18th birthday celebration there with his friends.
The staff were all amazing, very helpful, accommodating with any requests and friendly. The food was fantastic, we ordered platters and they were amazing, with lots of yummy options.
My son and his friends had a wonderful time playing pool, computer games and were able to put together a playlist of music that was played for them over the speakers.

I frequent Edwards tavern but on the 26th Dec was disappointing.
The lamb ragu no fettuccine at all! Both dishes had no fettuccine pasta at all! The pumpkin soup we ordered was more a puree than soup.
I am so disappointed and so was the 6 guests!

Food wasn't bad but it wasn't the greatest. Garlic Bread was a bit dry, Onion rings weren't hot the plate was hotter than the rings. Still tasty but. The Chicken Parmigiana was nice although lacking in topping and slightly dry.

Dinner at the Edwards Tavern was a positive experience, a popular place with a good choice of menu items. Thursday is steak night,so my wife had a T bone steak cooked perfectly on the grill, medium rare. I choose an entree serve of Salt and pepper Squid. I was surprised at the quantity, truly amazing. This was very tender,coated in cornflour with salad. I recommend this Tavern.

Compliments to the chef! The most amazing meals we have had out for a while. Steak was amazing and the calamari was perfection! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and quick service. Highly recommend.

Best pub meals we’ve had in a long time (ingredients, taste etc). Very large portion size. In hindsight one is enough to share between two with dessert. Not much atmosphere and no table service, wouldn’t stop us going back for such fantastic meals.

19-4-24. Prior to this review, 5 stars, nothing but great food and a great experience, this night was 1 star, really let us down. Oh man, Firstly, im not a fussy eater what so ever, Im a big dude that usually eats all my plate, and sometimes others left overs, I never complain normally and this review is one I regret typing for such a beautiful pub. Ive tried to keep it fair, a lifetimes worth of meals got tainted by 1 meal I had last night. I have lived in Wodonga my whole life, Ive had my 18th birthday party here, almost yearly christmas lunches, friends out for dinners, my work meetings and catch ups here and attend even various functions regularly, plenty of recommendations every 6 monthly with franchise managers etc etc. Never had a problem that comes to mind. Took my wife out for our 2 year anniversary last night for ribs as advertised, only to find out the pork ribs is the only ribs offered (I wanted beef like you used to have) So I ordered the briskett. I lost half my brisket for the massive globs of fat that was totally unedible, I gagged, and had to spit a mouthfull out on my plate. Cut around my other piece to avoid the rest of the fat, it was truly disgusting and I literally left almost half the brisket that was on my plate (Yes ive eaten plenty of brisket in my time) The flavour of the brisket was actually nice for the bit that I did have. The salad that was with it was terrible, I dont know why its all ground up, was in ment to be some kind of coleslaw? but the chips were good. The single worst meal ive ever had at this pub. My wife had the squid which was great (She offered me some of hers because she knew I was hungry). Ive given 3 stars because I know this pub, I love it, just around the corner, normally fun and fair priced but they really missed the mark, the waiter said she was getting some one to come talk to me, we sat there for another 10-15 minutes and we left (tbh if some one had come over to talk to me, I probs wouldnt be typing here now). Pretty dissapointing to be honest, I saw the rib night fridays sign 2 weeks ago, So I been thinking about ribs for weeks thinking the beef ribs were back. I dont know when we will be back, prob reccomend other local pubs, which really is a shame. I left this pub hungry after spending $83 for 2 meals and garlic bread and jug of lemonaide. :(
