Wonderful venue, friendly staff, delicious food and great entertainment. All in all, a lovely retirement celebration was had!! We highly recommend Elephant & Castle for special occasions.

We visited the Elephant and Castle on our weekend away and I wish I lived closer because this is a great pub. We sat in the beer garden which had a great atmosphere and I couldn’t speak more highly of the staff. They were so friendly and attentive. The food was also delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

We travelled from Melbourne to try the Sunday Roast at the Elephant and Castle Hotel. The food was incredible - generous serves, freshly cooked and delicious! The staff seemed nervous and a little stressed - perhaps understaffed, with a large function outdoors for lunch. The easily-audible conversations between staff members, as we waiting for our meal, were a bit unnerving and didn't really put us at ease. Would we go back? Yes! In a heartbeat!

Went out with my friends here..
Had a great time, great atmosphere and good food.
The staff at the bar was amazing.
Taking away one star as No menu cards were provided to us on table. Had to go to the bar to get one for ourselves.
When the food arrived had to ask for cutlery which by the way should be given with or before food is served.

Went for a Sunday roast yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. Best pub roast I've had in a long time. Highly recommend. Service was great also, very attentive despite being very busy.

We have been to the elephant and castle before and enjoyed our food and service but today was very different! I it was my birthday and I had eight guests with me. I ordered the roast of the day which was pork, well actually what pork there was. It mainly consisted of Goozy Fat and seasoning and very little pork. I thought the proper way to cook pork is to have crackling on top, not thick, white and inedible fat. There was so much of it. I wished I had of taken photos! My daughter ordered a coffee martini which cost $20 and was undrinkable because it tasted so bad. When she took it back, they said oh yes it seems like someone has made it wrong, but no offer of money back. One of our party ordered risotto, and they said it was Very ordinary. Four out of the nine of us were happy with their meals.
Very disappointed.

We celebrated a 70th birthday and were extremely happy with the excellent service, quality of the food and the great vibe the hotel has!!

We came here after visiting a family member in the Geelong hospital. Walked in off street on Saturday evening, luckily enough the great attentive staff were able to seat us. Food was great. We have steaks and seafood pasta, both were delightful. There was a wedding on out back, and yet we still received our meals in a timely manner.
Full table service is lovely.
Highly recommend.

True old fashioned music pub. Mixed patrons but popular with those who enjoy live music from the 70s and 80s. Always great service despite a busy environment

This place is always such an enjoyable place. Went for dinner on Saturday night. The service from our waiter, Ned was just exceptional. The food was delicious and well presented. Just love the vibe of this place.

Think the B team was on for Sunday lunch. The food was fantastic. However, a lot of the menu was not available as it was sold out.

The menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. Wednesday night is steak night and Thursday night is Parmi and trivia night. They offer a ‘half’ Parmi meal, and Chicken Schnitzel meal, which is plenty for me, so no wasted food on the plate, the ‘half’ is also $10 cheaper. The wait staff are always really polite and friendly. I would suggest booking ahead as they are always very busy. I gave four stars for atmosphere as sometimes it’s very loud. But otherwise really good.

Security was very rude even after we all showed our ID’s and cooperated, he kept carrying on trying to act tough and make it hard for us to get in.
Bar tender was very rude and told me if I wanted a Guinness I had to go line up at the other side of the bar after I waited 15 minutes to get to the front of the line.
Just be nice, its not that hard

Really lovely atmosphere, with food that tasted amazing! My sister particularly liked the chef's special lasagna (the best she has ever had!) Service was also excellent.

In for dinner and some drinks on Saturday night. Excellent pub, food was excellent, atmosphere was great, service was great, live music too. Great night at a well run venue

I'm reluctant to say how fabulous dinner was because then we will never get in! Amazing service, food and atmosphere. Flawless. Cannot wait to return. I would go 7 nights a week if I could.

Had dinner and a birthday party there. Their service was incredible! nice waiters, great food, clean bar and variety of alcohol drinks and beverages. Worth spending time in bar with friends or on a weekend! Highly Recommended!

Food was delicious, especially the seafood linguine and the steak pot pie. Chicken parma (not parmi) was also good - just the right size. Sticky date pudding was amazing. Not a great range of local wines but good none the less. Lots of photos on display, some more risque than others. Service was fantastic.

First time & a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Atmosphere reminded us of pubs back in UK. Our waitress was extremely helpful and all our meals were delicious. Will definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate recommending to others. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Could not fault meal or staff. Brilliant. My only concern is the discomfort I felt seeing a family with young children sitting beneath a photo of a bare-breasted woman. The photos are wonderful, but some might be more appropriate for a bar than a bistro. Great otherwise.

Beautiful pub. Alot of pics inside to see.
Service was fast and staff friendly.
We had a group of 7 and missed the meals by 10min.
Still was able to order meals.
Meals where great.
Kid friendly.
Dog friendly.
Manager came out and gave our dog fresh water and a pat.

Beautiful meal. Very good service. Great atmosphere. Heaps of artwork on the walls to keep you busy for hours.

Always a pleasure to dine out at The Elephant & Castle. Always friendly staff, great food & a nice variety. Price is great too- with weekly specials. It's always warm & inviting & comfortable. With lots of photos to look at on the walls- lol- so there's plenty to discuss. We always come home full & happy. Thank you..xx

After having a little mixup with our orders today, we had amazing above and beyond service from AMELIA. She was so attentive and lovely and my partner and I more than appreciate her thoughtfulness. She went the next mile to make sure our lunch ticked along smoothly and we were happy.
We need more service like this!!
