You can’t go wrong at the Empire hotel! Come here during the day for lunch and a quiet drink or two or have the wildest night in your dreams with your friends! I have fond memories from back in the day when moon bar was open upstairs. It definitely is an iconic Brisbane bar in the heart of the valley. Elle will make sure you are looked after and your drink is always full and with the amazing array of beers on tap and amazing cocktail list you won’t have any trouble deciding on a drop to indulge in. Big shout out to some amazing nights at Tranny Bingo here too...this place has it all for good times with great friends.

Waited an hour and 15 mins to receive a grilled chicken burger with no tomato or pickles even in it… really slow and rude service from the bartenders!

Very nice ambiance, the pub had live music playing popular songs.
Their Cosmopolitans were really good, there’s a smoking area, the bathrooms are beautiful and very clean and the pub is connected to another bar and dance floor where we had a lot of fun.

Some great beers on tap, including a few from Valley Hops, which is located on the rooftop right nextdoor. Sauce on the wings was good, and the blue cheese sauce was great but I'm not a fan of crumbed wings. They're lunch specials are hard to beat though!
Interesting punky feel indoors that is at odds with the outside of the building
Good spot to play pool, and enjoy some 80s tunes

Really nice bar, great happy hour deals. Pool tables are old and tired, but the welcome was warm and friendly.

Our Zoomo Team had a send-off to our team lead in this wonderful establishment. The food will give you generous portions of meat and side dishes, the drinks are awesome and there is a pool where everyone can play. The boys absolute favourite is the chicken parmi. Staff are amazing and wonderful too.

Nice place that retains its historic charms and rustic interiors. It has a wide selection of cocktails, beers and spirits for alcohol lovers. They have an extensive list of rums as well. Food is not bad, though the juicy rotisserie chicken can be less saltier then it would great. Nice music and friendly staffs as well. As of writing, UQU members get 25% off all food items.
Like any other nearby establishments in Fortitude Valley, parking can be a bit of concern, so catching public transport or a cab would be wise options.

My 3 friends and I are staying in bunk hostel. This hostel and empire hotel have an agreement that you get 25% off all bills at end of tab. We walked in and staff were extremely rude there was a man in a flower shirt who was extremely rude and aggressive when we walked in. He also seemed to be extremely more into chatting to women, rather than serving food or drinks. We ordered food off a man with a pony tail who called himself the manager who told us that he decides when the discount is in use so basically on his terms but this is not the case and if you do stay in bunk hostel do not let this man try and intimidate you and tell you otherwise. He was very rude and honestly has anger issues, ruined our night. The food was good it was simply the bar staff that were just horrible except one man with dyed highlights in his hair. When our food was ready you could literally hear the chef ringing the bell eight times before the ‘manager’ got it. While the other man in flower shirt continued to chat women up. I hope the owner of this business sees this because seeing how these two men spoke to people before and after us I would be ashamed to see how this establishment is being ‘managed’. Honestly only for the food would be a 0 of 5

I walked in here yesterday just to get out of the heat and oh boy, I don't know if there's a dead fish under the floor but it absolutely stunk.
I'm usually not genuinely concerned about inhaling a smell but this place just had a fishy funky stench that offended my nostrils everytime I breathed in.

I love their burger and craft beer, it is just perfect. Staff are friendly. People who goes there some times are quite rude and agressive, that males armosphere not that great.

Idk what the bartender with the cap was on on Friday night but he was putting his all into making cocktails/drinks, best cocktail I’ve ever had from the empire hotel none the less

Have had 2 really terrible experiences here both times I’ve gone. Had one where the staff made racist comments to my Asian friend, and one where the staff were really rude to me every time I would order. No idea what the deal is maybe a rude manager but would not recommend

Hands down one of the best places for a night out in the valley. Great anthemic music, DJ is next level!
Much larger range of drinks on tap and spirits compared to most other places. Fun and friendly staff. Also have pool tables and that semi retro/pub style vibe.

Great big pub / bar at the top of the valley on Brunswick Street and Anne. A big airy and spacious spot for a drink or meal, but sometimes a packed in spot with a ton of people in there. Met up and had a drink here and enjoyed relaxing on the larger tables with the bank seating around them. Free pool on Sundays

Great bartender! He made special cockail for me saying that he will surprise me, and it was the best cocktail i’ve ever tested. If you stay in bunk brisbane you should check this bar out!

Great atmosphere in the well located bar. Very chill. Staff are always very friendly. Its never overcrowded on the weekend if you want to grab a quick and tasty lunch. Always have a great selection of new craft beers to try. Meal sizes are always huge....especially the chicken parmy! Massive and soooooo much cheese! Just wow! Been going here for years!

Great atmosphere, good food and nice music mix, brilliant range of beers, can't beet the happy hour 5-7pm daily, also chicken parmy special on a Tuesday night is awesome and wont be beated in the "Valley". Great friendly staff too.

Fantastic friendly service! Reasonably priced drinks. My favourite addition to a pub.....pool tables!! Not a huge fan of the beer selection but all the usual spirit options are available. Hands down one of the best pubs in the valley.

Fallen a long way. This place used to be very customer service focused and very concentrated on craft beer selection but unfortunately 90% of the beers on tap are now valley hops which is what the parent company owns which makes sense monetarily but not sense in the terms of quality. Used to love empire but now I won't go back.

Do not go to this terrible bar! Staff treat you like a number and want to do as little as possible. Also, we stay at the hostel they have a deal with and are supposed to get 25% off every order. I order drinks and food 5 times and show my card each time to prove I belong to the hostel. On orders 6 and 7, I forget to show it. Because of this, they make me pay the full amount. They could have at least asked for my card besides just remembering. What terrible service. They do everything to rip you off. Big guy behind the bar and woman with a piercing behind the bar. Shame on you! And especially when all of us are spending money here all evening! At least $80 per person. 7 persons. I've been working in a place like this for years, but if I were the boss, I would have fired you immediately!

A great upmarket hotel in the Fortitude valley area! Great food & drinks are very reasonable! Friendly service always has been provided by the staff of the hotel! Wheelchair access to the hotel is available!Passing everyday I noticed the Jameson sign! I thought It had an i in it so I talked my boyfriend shoes surname is Jamieson to have a drink & take a photo under the sign! We tried out the Margarita beer! $8.00 A schooner & $10.00 for a pint! Excellent music & on the bar are little polaroids of customers & old copies of great rolling stone magazines all along the awesome bar! An Irish redhead barmaid was very helpful & friendly!
