We love this bar sooo much. We came late, they close at 10pm and we turned up at 8.50pm and they still were very happy and kind to take our order. There were also a lot of fun activities to do more than just sitting in a bar and having food or drinks. We could play pool table, chess, reading books and even can play badminton there. The beef brisket was so soft and it melted in my mouth, paired perfectly with they buttered mashed potato. The cocktail was awesome. I demanded to have cocktail without ice when serve, and the staff gave me their recipe to choose what I want so that was so much easier and helpful. Thanks very much and we would come back next time we visit Hunter Valley.

Turned up for some share plates, pizza and dessert - had a nice wine and you must order the baked camembert! Will definitely bring friends back!

The mix of pool table, sports tv and the elegant furniture was bit weird. The tables were too low to have bar food. Wood fried pizza and drink selection were ok.

The bar has a relaxed wibe with plenty of things to do. It has a pool table, a mahjong set, chess set etc for those who like to avoid conversations
The menu is small in size and is limited on dessert option. They have wood fired pizza oven which has some good pizza choices. We also tried their special barramundi dish which was special for the weekend and the peri peri pizza. Both were delicious and staff are very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much for them and we were looked after very well. Will definitely return in future.

Staff are friendly and welcoming, they give you the best experience you could have. The food is amazing I recommend the voco buddha bowl, it is really good.
The place is great and comfy.

Service was great for one star and the chips equally as good. Unfortunately pizza was cold and the tacos inedible cold when they got to the table and filling didn’t get much better. Place, service and dog friendly all gets huge ticks but the food was really bad

Relaxing bar at Kirkton Park. We had dinner there as restaurant closed. Small menu with additional specials board. Meal was excellent - we both had barramundi. Drinks and meal prices were very reasonable. Staff friendly and helpful

my partner and i visited today - not guests of the hotel - for a drink, during the school holidays. the bar was rather quiet, which is our preference, and much preferred over the first venue we tried to get a drink at which was booked out for at least another two hours (the goldfish place).
we were promptly greeted at the bar by a lovely girl who quickly had as seated (seats chosen by us) and supplied with a drink menu. as quickly as we were seated we were given ice cold water and our orders were taken.
we had a great time enjoying the atmosphere of the bar / lounge while we waited for our drinks to be made (which was not long). it's a very cosy and quaint place, we both really like it.
a different but just as lovely girl delivered our drinks - a chilli margarita each.
d e l i c i o u s! really delicious margarita, and i frequently order margaritas when we go out for drinks. i thought it was the best margarita i have had in some time. the chilli kick had the perfect amount of heat. yum.
we really enjoyed our drink and stay this afternoon - especially since everyone seemed to be very Covid-Conscious. we will definitely be back for another drink soon.

Lovely venue with cosy fireplace and comfy seats. Had the cheese plate which was great value and a couple of glasses of local red. The night was made by the barman. He was friendly, helpful and skillfully managed tending bar with serving food and building a fire. Left feeling like he made the night that much better.

Lovely decor but atmosphere is lacking, as is the service. There's no music so you could hear a pin drop. The staff aren't very attentive either.

Just devine! The food is insanely delicious & the cocktails are the best ive ever drank love the staff that cater for all your needs, a game of pool in a relaxed atmosphere & the majestic gardens.. plus i loved seeing the pigs down the back of the property... heaven 💛

Hard to find the entrance for the Epoch lounge if you've never been here, no signage indicating where it is from the outside. We had the beef and the chicken burgers for lunch and they were both very average and definitely overpriced. The chips were soggy. Tables were dirty and many still had dishes on them for long periods of time.
The general set up and atmosphere are very beautiful.

Had a great day in the Hunter and wanted a quiet and simple dinner back at the hotel so thought we would just grab a “wood fired pizza” at the hotel lounge. My wife and I ordered 2 $24 pizzas and we were served the worst pizzas we have ever eaten.
I’m 99% sure the waiter just grabbed 2 frozen packet pizzas and threw them into the oven for 10 mins. They were cold, had minimal cheese, bland toppings and were clearly on pre-made frozen bases.
We were starving but could barely finish a couple of slices. We were just so disappointed.

Shocking food - sliders slow cooked beef hard as bones
Chips hard over cooked
55 minutes for a pizza and 3 sliders
55 minutes for two drinks
All other guests not happy very awkward atmosphere
We are local and won’t be returning
Could be a very exciting place to go

Food is fantastic, service is absolutely atrocious, ignored multiple time at the door, once seated and again after we eventually received table service by all the staff. Food order was mixed up despite confirming three times and the whole experience left a sour opinion of the hotel at the end of our trip that we ended up cancelling our lunch at the hotel for the next day and leaving early.

Fantastic experience, quite, intimate, relaxing. The girl who looked after us was beautiful and accommodating and the food was lovely. Will be going back again. Thankyou Epoche lounge.

Don’t bother about booking here. It’s no special to anywhere else. The fire is indoors not out. They will give your table you booked 4 hours prior and make you feel bad about asking the people they gave your table too.
