Went here for the first time on the Good Friday Holiday. The only reason we went here was because they advertised on their facebook that they would have the NRL "Live & Loud" when we arrived they told us we had to buy food to have drinks, fair enough. But then as kick off approached there were no signs of the Footy being turned on. Eventually I asked a young man from behind the bar, he said he would turn it on. Then he seemed to laugh about it with other wait staff and ignore the request.
Then I went to the blonde woman behind the bar who seemed to be in charge. She asked me first to show her proof that I had eaten there, then when I said my receipt on my table thats not why i came to the bar, she stormed off and got someone else to serve me. I showed them the facebook post and said "if youre not going to do what you advertised, im not buying any more drinks or food, ill go somewhere else".Finally, they turned it on. But wow, what a mission to get them to do something they advertised. Not the place i expected, American style diner with American style food and bartenders that barely understand english. Never again.

We enjoyed our visit. The food was priced reasonably and it was a good atmosphere. Staff were also friendly.

Waited an hour to be served the most disgusting and small chicken THIGH parmigiana I've ever had in my life. We pointed this out to the staff member, who promptly snapped that she doesn't cook the food. She said she would get the manager, who came and said they had a trainee cook and they forgot the other half and they would bring out a new one. After another decent wait the replacement arrived, it was still not appetizing at all, I tried one bite and it tasted like metal, I couldn't even stomach it. My mate had the same with me and the same experience. This was truely an awful experience of a dish that I thought could never be totally ruined beyond repair. Definitely not worth the $27 price tag and definitely will not be back.

This was the most hospitable bar/eatery we have been to by far at Broadbeach! A+++++++++ to all of the bar & restaurant staff, keep doin what you are doin ladies, we will definitely be back!

The Staff was super helpful and kind when dealing with our request. The food was delicious!! :) I would definitely recommend.

Stumbled across this bar and went in after my boyfriend seeing the UFC sign out the front, stayed for 3 hours to watch the card and had plenty of drinks and some food while there. Margherita pizza was huge and delicious 👌🏼, couldn’t even finish it, southern chicken bites were OK! would’ve gave a 5 star rating if the service from 1 of the waitresses was a bit friendlier.. the girl with long dark hair was really really sweet though :) will definitely come again if we’re back in broadbeach while there’s some good sports on!

Staff seemed friendly enough and the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately that's as good as it gets. The food was so underwhelming the ribs were just so bland, tender but just no taste at all definitely not worth the price we payed, also there is no communication from staff when you order your food you are supposed to receive a text msg and collect it but we were not told this and weren't really looking at our phones so our food was sitting up at the bar for a good 10 minutes before someone came and asked us If we were waiting on food... at least put a sign up at the bar or on the QR code.. sorry guys just not a good experience..

Small bar with a good range of beers and food.
Milkshakes for the kids to wash down a large plate of wings in bbq sauce, which they absolutely loved.
Also had the spicy wings, which were just right.
Kids are very welcome here, but it is a sports bar, so it's not really designed for kids to hang around in.
Wednesday night wings are $0.50 each... makes for a great dinner.

Ordered the Fat Freddy's Deluxe burger. It's fantastic. Not oily, perfectly balanced, great bun that does not fall apart. Before I was even half way through the burger had to order another one cause it was just so delicious.
Chips were spot on too.

My "GO TO" place for Happy Hour. I've had the chicken wings and the pizza so far. Excellent food and prices. I'll have 20 wings and two half-liter FF Lager for AU$21.00. The 15" pizza and two half-liter FF Lager for AU$27.00. I am in Italy every year where I have pizzas made in wood burning ovens and Fat Freddy's pizzas are just as good. The dough is spot on excellent. Service is self-serve and you place it at the bar. I should move to the Gold Coast.

My favourite American bar/diner. Me and my mates come here all the time. It’s hard to find good happy hour prices these days as beer is so expensive now and Fat Freddy’s still serve a pint for $6 and also offer 50c wings on Wednesdays and other specials like burger Mondays. It really is a treat. Love the American feel to it. It’s like stepping outside Australia for a moment.

Me and a mate ordered a calzone. It was deep fried and absolutely terrible. The only redeeming factor was the chips which were delicious. Definitely would not recommend eating here

Highly recommend the burger and chips. Delicious salt on the chips and the burgers were a perfect classic.
However the smores dessert was a let down, too sweet, very small amount of chocolate to balance and too cold. Was not up to the standard of the rest of the food.
Good variety on the menu, and variety of drinks.
The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing with friendly attentive staff.
I would recommend Fat Freddy's when looking for a good, comforting and satisfying meal and service.

Have to order and collect food from the bar. No table service. Pizza’s are huge and tasty. Cheeseburgers were also good. Had a pleasant evening with friends but wouldn’t rush back.

Great place to come with friends. Staff is a 10 out of 10 super helpfull.
The burgers are tasty and the local beer is so good for the price.
We will come back 100%.

Great for a catch up with friends or a quick lunch. Has a sports bar feel and a gaming room out the back.
I have visited twice for lunch now and had Burgers both times. 😋 The food is tasty, fresh and hot. Also there is a great range of beers on tap. Very relaxed atmosphere and well worth a visit while on the Gold Coast.

Food smelt funky and wasn't fresh. Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing when asking about the special offer out front. Also got asked to move because they were moving tables for karaoke which was in four 4 hrs time.

First time here in March 2024 and loved the experience. Exactly like being in an American sports bar, with a great food and drinks to match. Prices surprisingly very reasonable too. Has both indoor and outdoor seating and located only a block from the beach. Can't wait to go back.

Fat Freddy’s is on of my favourite bars in town. Ash especially is a great bartender, huge smile and great to chat to! If you’re an American or a local, you’ll love Fat Freddy’s.

Fantastic bar lovely staff and decently priced drinks. Along with enjoyable music and a nice atmosphere. Will definately be a new frequent of mine.

DELICIOUS! Fast, Excellent customer service, Amazing food, Fantastic value, Legendary decor, Awesome atmosphere!
I cannot even describe in words how delicious my burger was... Oh my actual goodness... 🤤🤤 The ratio of burger, chips and 500ml beer was so perfect.
The fries are seasoned! The fries! I've never had shoestring fries that are actually delicious......
Outside has heaters in the ceiling which makes such a difference! My hubby and I were able to eat our food outside in the fresh air, while staying comfortable and warm!
Everything was spectacular 😍👌 I can't wait to come back!
Also, fantastic midweek meal deals! 🙌🙌🙌

Came post dinner and got drinks. They don’t make mock tails which is fair. We got a spider drink, lemonade, lemon lime and bitters and strawberry milk shake. The shake was very watery, not at all creamy. The food looked nice. Maybe next time, they have specials for different nights of the week. The atmosphere was chilled and prices very reasonable

Came here for karaoke - the MC's fun, but also clearly pushing for entertainment factor & for favorites. I feel re-traumatised. Unpleasant sound system & experience. No vegan options. The star's for the young guy serving drinks, great service.

Awkward location between the GC Highway and Broadbeach however they’ve done what they can to make it attractive. We were just checking it out and were greeted so warmly by one of the staff we felt we had to go in 🤗. Not disappointed - same level of hospitality from all the staff. Looks like they have some super specials weekdays. (Bathrooms are super clean too 🤗🤗🤗) HUGE selection of spirits! Dog 🐶 🐕 friendly outside 🤗🤗🤗. Awesome 🤩 gaming room too!

Awesome concept. Poor execution.
Fortunately it was quiet. Only other table with a good order in received theirs 10minutes after we ordered.
The server gave us their order initially, we realised the mix up. From there we waited 25 minutes more. For two cheese burgers!
It appeared the meat be guy behind the bar (on Boxing Day) was supported from the guy in the gaming lounge. If the bar team member had to make some cocktails the people waiting in line had a serious wait.
The cheese burgers were nice. Pricing and quantity aligned.
This is a classic case of a business trying to be too many things. Jack of all trades, master of none. I do think our one experience being a public holiday may skew this so we will return and give it a second go on a normal trading day.

Absolutely love this place
Best burgers my partner and I have ever had. My brother had a pizza and he loved it. Great atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend.
