We were on a getaway with my Husband and decided to have lunch here yesterday the food I must say was very delicious and great portions but not happy with their customer service as we weren't even acknowledged or greeted when we walked which was rather rude in my opinion and I even saw a cook handling food with his hands without any sort of gloves on which I found very inappropriate.
But Im happy that we enjoyed our meal at least.

We were extremely disappointed and wasn't worth the money!
If you have allergies, they don't cater for you! We had 2 adults and child with dairy allergy. They didn't even have much for gluten free too.
Minute steak, salad leafs and half steam vegetables $18. They weren't even able to provide child meal.
Chips had milk powder coating too.
Drinks were terrible too.
Lemon lime bitters was bitter as hell and leaves terrible after taste.
North Light taste terrible and wasn't pleasant to drink either.

Went there for Saturday lunch, the staff seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else, the food was very average, I had fish and chips, was 4 fingers of what tasted liked processed fish paste!!! And with some slop of a salad on the side!

We arrived, we were taken to a filthy table for 2 and told to sit, however there were 4 salt and pepper shakers on my seat.
The waitress stared at them and walked off. I moved them to another table and sat down. I washed the table..
We ordered at the counter, food arrived, the rice was bland, no flavour whatsoever, other than copious amounts of Greek feta
The prawns were dry, overcooked
The chicken Parma was dry and inedible
The sweets was a bit of piped cheesecake on a dry biscuit
The staff are rude.
I’d never go there or recommend it to anyone

The food was absolutely excellent and arrived in a short time frame. The service was way above first class. I asked one of the waitresses if there was a local boat ramp. She asked other staff who provided some verbal directions that I didn’t fully understand as I didn’t know the local area. Without asking, as we were leaving, she provided written directions. A small act of kindness that speaks volumes about her character and commitment to customer service.

The Federal Hotel was delightful. Clean spaces, easily navigable facilities and friendly staff. The food was also reasonable and satisfactory. Notably, my friend got the wrong order, however the staff member was accountable for this and expressed this which is also very favorable and doesn't alter my impression of this experience. Be it lunch, dinner, or to socialize with friends and family the fed is a rather engaging place to visit.

The atmosphere is satisfactory, while the food is irresistible.
Pumpkin Gnocchi priced at $22 and salt and pepper calamari at $27 seem a bit pricey.

Scotch fillet steak was just ok, I've had slightly worse but I've also had a lot better. It was a strange grey colour instead of a nice brown/pink chargrill colour- & definitely not med-rare, much more on the med-well side. The veggies were only just warm & the garlic butter had been frozen or something so it tasted odd & took ages to melt over the food. Probably won't be going back.

Puddy's restaurant is a gem for this area of Swan Hill, located on the NSW side, a short walk over the iconic timber bridge.
The food is of high standard and presentation, well done, cheers Les

Prompt and friendly service, excellent food, generous portions, highly recommend a visit.
Get a pizza, great value, crispy base and plenty of topping.

Nice clean venue, friendly staff. The very hit and miss with food. Had dinner here a couple weeks ago and the food came out under 10 minutes, pre cooked chicken heated up, very dry and rubber like, veggies still raw. wasn't keen on a replacement meal

My experience with this hotel was terrible. First the service from the bar was unacceptable with the barman having zero communication skills. Second I asked for spaghetti bolognese and I was charged $22 instead of $20. On the menu it said $22 the waiter said they hadn't change the menu yet and still charged $22. Very poor I say and don't go for a meal there. The staff need to lift their game.

Meal was enormous and tasty.
Rating let down by younger staff.
Some were more interested in talking amongst themselves than to customers, I was cut off mid sentence, as they started a conversation together.
In dining area - as I entered a young staff member was sitting on the floor in front of the serving counter looking bored - ???? Yet my table had not been cleaned.

If you have a dietary issue they are willing to go above and beyond to assist. Most imprest. We rang ahead to book and state dietary issue and chief met us when we arrived to discuss. Impressed and Thank You

Have been here a few times to eat. Previously would have rated it higher and had a scotch fillet, which was pretty good. Last time I had a mixed grill which left a bit to be desired. Good portion size but. Pork chop was tough, sausages weren't great, chicken was dry, the minute steak and potato salad were nice. Wasn't too keen on one of the cooks at the front warming counter checking if the chicken was cooked enough with his fingers.

Had lunch in the external bistro area today. Dog was welcome which was a big plus. The meals were great and plentiful on the plate which makes a nice change! Extremely clean and modern facilities. Would certainly come again.

Great food, portions are (too) huge. Had the chicken sandwich with fries, awesome. Place was very busy, not very cozy, but food comes out quickly and staff is friendly. Very good value for money.

Great food. Huge meals. We had the barramundi and garlic prawns special and beef schnitzel. Great food. Service was great chef and came and spoke to us which was nice. Close to Big 4 caravan Park Riverside just over
The bridge into NSW.

Cool place to stop by as you grab something to eat. I ate the 400g rump. Not the best steak I have eaten by long mile but if you are really hungry this will do.

Cannot comment on hotel itself except that it looked very well cared for and welcoming. Only called in for a meal, 4 us, all different meals and all PERFECT, to the chef and staff, well done, thank you. If you're in Swan Hill make the Federal Hotel your first meal stop, guaranteed you'll be back again before leaving.

A very modern pub,country hospitality,had a great feed of garlic prawns,watching live music while smashing through a few schooners.
This place has it all going on,get your arses down there and check it out for yourself.
