Yum, yum, yum! They catered two vegan options for us (pizza and pasta) and OMG there were amazing. We rebooked on our way out. Definitely recommended. The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced.

Wow, brilliantly tasty Greek fare. Well cooked, well seasoned. Fresh, delicious and full of flavour. We both had the lamb souvlaki and it was fabulous. We will definitely be back. Only slight downfall was that the restaurant was a bit noisy, but we were there on a busy Saturday night

We went to Fillo's and ordered the Zoutzoukakia, Moussaka, Spaghetti Marinara and the Chicken Souvlaki.
The service was fine and the food took a while to come however all of it was excellent.
The Zoutzoukakia was a nice entree with contrasts of perfect spicing, soft tomato and the hard rice.
The Moussaka was delicious with its layers of eggplant and potato. Would definitely recommend.
The Chicken Souvlaki was well-seasoned, smoky and the sides were lovely as well.
Lastly, the Marinara was surprisingly spicy with a generous portion size. The parmesan cheese added to it however does make it slightly salty.
Overall, Fillo's was a much better experience for me than the neighbouring bistro and we will definitely be back.

Went to this place while visiting Canberra recently. Not a good experience. The staff were all over the shop, but no one wanted to take our order for food. We got asked 4 times for drinks, but when we wanted to order our food, we had to wait for the ‘food waiter’. When they did finally take our orders, the entree took over 30 minutes to come. Seems like all they were focusing on were pickup orders. The slow cooked lamb was cold, which meant it was not pleasant at all. The potatoes were fridge cold. The other meals were mediocre also, the pizza was passable. Service was slow, and the staff were more interested in socialising with each other than doing their job.
In hindsight, we would have got a better & cheaper meal at the bistro just next to the shop.

Went to Fillos on New Year’s Eve. Delicious mezze (grilled octopus, saganaki, zucchini fritters, lamb souvlaki), bouzoukia and 🇬🇷 Greek dancing.

Waiters were useless, waited over 45 minutes for them to take order and only after asking them twice for service, then waited over 1.5hours for food to show up, while other tables got their food before us when they arrived well after we did.

Unfortunately a disappointing night, greasy bad cooked food. John Dory ( apparently grilled) one of favourite fish was very unusual. Normally it has a dot…
What ever this fish was , it has never seen a Grill. Same with the prawns saganaki , never seen a fry pan.Octopus was slimy, badly grilled.
The Greek Salad was ok .
On check out the tried to charged us more, didn’t look to me like a honest mistake.
Check your bill…
Overall you would think that this place can afford to have a authentic cook, unfortunately not.
So disappointed that it still upsets me.
Perfectly good food wasted …
never again.

The barramundi and grilled pork were delicious, and the staff were friendly. The ambiance of the place was pleasant.

Quick service, nice quality, good food, good atmosphere BUT the entrees were really small for the price.

Our experience of filos was not that great. We were recommended the lamb shank and pork belly. We ordered also the lamb and chicken souvlaki, zucchini fritters and crumbed calamari. The Lamb shank and pork belly were disappointing. It was very dry and bland. I'm not sure if the pork was supposed to be crispy. The calamari rings were super tough and not fresh at all. Everything else is ok. Nothing to rave about

Now we are open again its worth a visit food is to die for extremely nice well presented and large portions manager Tim and his staff very efficient friendly definitely my favourite restaurant in Canberra Ty for always making our time there a great experience

New menu seems to be like the old with only a few new choices added. Crumbed calamari, more like take away shop with the $32 price. Eh for a restaurant, it's more like an expensive greasy takeaway.. Sorry. You need to change the menu and cook like a chef..

My family have always loved this place. Most recent trip was disappointing. Saganaki came out half cooked and very cold other starters were average. All the Greek food we had was slapped together and bland, greek salad had no dressing. The non Greek food was obviously just brought in from the bistro next door anyway, but at a premium.

I must say the food is normally good here and the food was good last Friday night however the service was below par. We were sitting outside the main dining area and did not have any water on the table of over 25 mins. When the waitress did serve drinks, she seemed to have a problem and made a dissatisfied facial expression. Waiting a long time before going inside and asking if someone could serve us then we waited again. 1 hour for mains and had to go inside twice to get a drink. There was a positive as well young guy with sandy blonde wavy hair was very helpful positive attitude and made sure he took care of us and got our meals out to us, very professional waiter.

I have Been going to the Greek Club for decades and its always a great meal! $150 for 5×people. Very busy Easter Sunday. But a real institution for Woden/Canberra, far better food than any other restaurants in the ACT.

Hellenic club has always been a great choice for food or just meeting friends. Personally love the art and statues it's a nice touch of class and Greece. Final point they really know their way around fish. Always perfection. Kid friendly to if anyone was wondering.

Haven’t come to Hellenic to eat for over 8 years. All new renovations. Ate for mums birthday, 8 people. Entrees were delicious. Souvlaki my husband rates. The pasta and risotto I could not eat as too heavy.

Had dinner with my family at your restaurant last night around 7pm, I must say the only plate of food that was edible was my Son's hot chips. My kokkinisto was awful the meat was dry and my linguine was rubbery, my daughters zouzoukakia were dry and her rice was under cooked. My husband's breaded lamb chops were greasy and the breading was tasteless and dry, we have always dinned at your restaurant every time we are delighted and satisfied this time we weren't.

Food was ok. I had the mousaka it was nice enough but tasted reheated not fresh. The potatoes tasted old/reheated. Service was shocking. Meals came out quickly but then the plates left on the tables for a very long time over an hour I would guess before being cleared. No desert or drinks offered after meal served. This more than an hour after our meals were finished I had to approach some one to ask for desert menu. Then was told to go and ask the staff member at the till if we wanted to order any. 🙄 Shouldn't they come back to the table to take the order.
So we had fun catching up with friends but very disappointed in the meal amd service. The hellenic staff on the front door are amazing and warm. Too bad the restaurant doesn't match the service.

Food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the octopus, Horta, calamari, saganaki and feta pizza for entree. These were delicious. For mains we had souvlakia and lamb shoulder and they were
Cooked to perfection. Then desserts were really delicious - the galalaktonoureko, tiramisu and rice pudding. Coffee and service was great. Thank you

Enjoyed the night, food was great. A small issue with one of our mains, but was rectified quickly. Well worth the trip. Dips are fantastic.

Best lamb cutlets I've ever had, service was exceptional given they seemed like they were short on staff. The warm walnut cake with ice cream was amazing.

Been coming here for years from Sydney to sample the yummy Greek food but lately we have noticed this place is a shadow of its former self. Food is average at best now, lots of items missing of menu, service is pathetic due to not enough staff on duty making the few that are on rush and make mistakes. They are now simply trading on their former glory. The final nail in the coffin is that their increases prices are now not reflecting the quality of food and service provided and you don't really need to book any more as place is really quiet. Says something!
Will now look at other options in Canberra.
