What a great restaurant. The best I've been to in a long time. Recently renovated due to flood damage.
Meals are absolutely fantastic.
Staff is very alert and friendly.
The outdoor area is beautiful.
Highly recommended.

We had two family events at the hotel, the food was exceptional, the staff even more so. I have never come across so polite and genuinely caring young people. The whole experience was absolutely memorable beyond compare. The facility is amazing, spotlessly clean, good spaces, air conditioning was very efficient.

We didn't stay, but we had meals there Nd stayed a few hours, service was wonderful, food was fantastic, we had kids with us to.

We came to the Forbes Inn on recommendations, so far we have waited 1 hour and 45min and still nothing. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you have the day set aside.

Stopped in to do Saturday lunch, had the rump steak medium rare, with Dianne sauce chips and salad. Delicious, sauce fantastic, nice crispy chips, salad with capsicum, tomatoes, carrots, spinach and red cabbage, with a nice dressing. Large serves are worth the price. Yes, wait for food but worth it. Will return.

Staff were very friendly and inviting, nice clean pub and restaurant with plenty of seating to enjoy. Very reasonable prices and all round great experience. Close to all the local shops.

Originally tried to go to another venue however was told they were closing. Not being a local, I asked where I should go and I was suggested to go to the Forbes Inn. What a great suggestion. The staff were very friendly and there was lots of different seating areas. Gaming patrons were impressively catered for, being offered many complementary snacks and other food options. I ordered a Thai meal which was absolutely delicious, so delicious that I asked for a container to take the rest back to my motel. Only downfall is the furniture, chairs in one area where I sat were peeling and very unsightly. A refresh of the furniture would’ve given a 5 star.

Ordered 2x Bowls of Chips @ $8 each, and received a very minimal amount. Portioning seems to be on the smaller size compared to the price that you pay for the meal....
Was rectified by staff to receive another plate with a few more chips than the previous amount. Staff are pleasant, food otherwise.

Only had a takeaway meal there which I ordered over phone on way into town, was one of the best scotch fillets I've ever eaten , lady's were lovely and they even brought it out to me in my truck out the front. Bottle shop at back also a bonus will be back for sure

I'm sure the food and beer is nice but DONT STAY THERE THE NIGHT.
I have bites and blisters all over my body due to BED BUGS!
Got a full refund and the management was very quick to agree that this should be the case.
I was informed (after my stay) they spray for bed bugs every month as they have had them before, but it obviously didn't work in room 2. The mattress was from the 1980s, the shower recess fills up as the drains are blocked and in general the place was dirty.
You can do better FORBES INN.

Had a nice meal at the pub which i was reffered too by the motel i was staying at not far away. Had big sized meals that were tasty and filling. It was a busy night and meals came out really quickly. Thai food also avaliable which looked great.

Had a good night with a solo musician adding to the atmosphere. |Huge meals, prices as you'd expect from a "flasher" style pub More of a club feel. |Kids room. And outdoor area. Lots of space. Pool tables and pokies. |Good food and friendly service. |When very busy can sometimes be a bit of a wait for your meal. |Good snack menu if just want something light with a cold beer.

Had a few meals here tonight. Staff and service excellent. Massamam curry fantastic. Calamari average. Salmon was very disappointing, maybe because it was served 25 minutes after the other meals came out. Don't know why I ordered seafood in Forbes.

Had a fantastic Chicken Parmigiana. Crust was crisp, sauce was great, chicken was tender. Service was friendly and efficient.

Had a beautiful country home cooked meal, great specials, food was amazing and large serves too. I wonderful Country pub experience with quick and friendly service and welcoming staff

Great pub and absolutely massive! Staff were so friendly and all seemed to get along well with each other, must be a great spot to work. Beer cold and the crumb cutlets were tops. Should have got the three cutlets they were that good

Great place for dinner right in the heart of Forbes. The dining area has recently been renovated although I didn't think there was much wrong with the old version.
Nightly meal specials and a huge variety of menu options. The crispy chicken would have to be my new favourite!
Service is fast and efficient, meals came out quickly and well presented. Generous servings.
Very spacious and I think the new renovations have made it feel even more light and roomy.

Food was delicious and came out quickly. The steak was cooked well, vegetables were fresh not frozen, the mash was real and the salad wasn't drenched in dressing. Definitely recommend for a good pub feed 👌

Drinks and food were excellent if your coming through Forbes stop by ! |You won’t be disappointed , venue is suited to all from families to large or small groups tab and bar feels like you have just walked into the coast

Called in with 10 people for dinner in the bistro - the menu is not huge but offers a good range of meals. Meals were served to the table REALLY FAST and the service was great. Meals were a good size especially the snittys that almost hang off your plate

A very popular dinner amongst locals. We came here as recommended by our motel reception. We were there just around seven, it was busy already and there were about 10 people ahead of us in the line. We were told food would take 45mins and yeah indeed took about that time. The food was great, both the chicken schnitzel and sirloin steak were delicious, cooked to perfection.

Apparently they have a new menu in - Australian style plus Thai (on reverse of menu but not in photo) We ordered Atlantic Salmon which was very good. It had bacon topped by a tasty sauce and sat on a bed of mash with asparagus spears. I felt it needed a salad to go with it which I had to pay extra for it. This too had a tasty dressing - not like the usual bland salads served elsewhere. The venue is a typical country pub - friendly staff and service.

Accommodation really needs to be upgraded. Really dated and smelly. The rest of hotel has been updated. Meals arrived quickly and were tasty and full size. Glasses of wine were grossly overpriced and a tad small. Most staff were pleasent.
