Went twice while visiting Forster, 1st time ordered meals all lovely though the woman at the food counter a tad sarcastic and abrupt,.. Guess we all have bad days, 2nd time we tried the all u can eat, was taken back by the variety and amount of food, much was very nice, it's rather hectic and noisy so a quiet couple meal it's not. Enjoyed what we had but wouldn't do again, would opt for the ordered individual meals. Nice club

We had dinner at the club a couple of nights ago, and strongly recommend the food there. We did book and I'm glad we did because it got so very busy. The dining room was extremely clean modern and well set out. The food was lovely and plenty of it, a huge variety of hot and cold foods and sweets to die for and the seafood is a must. We will definitely eat there again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We experienced the Bistro twice and the Buffet once. The Bistro was great on all levels. Melt in your mouth T bone & Pork loin. The squid was incredible...
The buffet was outstanding. This place was our go-to. You just need to get in "early" (as everyone is in bed by 20:30 hrs 😝) Having said that though, Fossy Bowlo has our vote for execeptional price, service & quality 👍

Very good for families, I love the all you can eat buffet 😋 very good presentation and clean establishment, friendly staff, the manager interacting well with diners.

Very friendly staff, excellent morning coffee. I was happy to see gluten free options for our morning tea and the mango macadamia cheese cake is very nice. In the morning it's a great place to bring a friend to chat as it's not noisy at all. For elderly,immuno compromised and disability clients the interior is excellent as the ambient temperature is perfect and the chairs are of a good standard for most clients. Parking was easy and plentiful at this time. For a quiet place to relax in the morning I would recommend this business and of course their busier lunch and dinner times are excellent. I've never had bad service at this club. Bravo.

Totally disgusted by this Buffett have been coming here for 15 years , when it first changed was a little disappointed, but during COVID completely understood.
But back last night after 2 years away. And all I can say is awful awful awful. No roast meat other than lamb shanks chinese and no meals with vegetables pavlova didn’t even have any topping other than a bit of passion fruit juice. Food was spread out all over the place. Just complete chaos. What food there was was dreadful, and cold

This place is amazing. Great staff, so friendly and accommodating, second to none. I recommend anyone to visit here for a feed or a drink or watch the footy. Staff waited for my footy match to finish to close then drove me back to my hotel on the courtesy bus. Will be back in a heartbeat. This place is unreal, big thanks to Forster Bowling Club, great place.

This is a great club - and not just because I've just moved a few doors away. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the food and drink are very good value, especially with my new member's card discount.
And the meals are seriously good - the lemon sole is sensational.

The Club is really nice, the staff are super friendly. Cheap drinks and the food at the Strand Bar and Grill is excellent so tasty and delicious. DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT. However the "All you can eat buffet is not nice at all. Over cooked, no taste and unbelievably noisy. Would NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Talk about bang for buck ! We ordered a house schnitty and chicken caesar salad and to be honest we could have just shared the schnitty as it was massive ! The bar had a couple of good wines to go with the meal.great place to watch sport while having dinners as well as there are large screens everywhere

Lunch from The Strand Bar & Grill within Forster Bowling Club Easter Saturday: very good.
All staff courteous, helpful: good service! Nice long main bar with plenty tap beers & drink options, nice chai latte from the small cafe, good-looking sports area with plenty of TVs around the place showing various sports.
Large chicken schnitzel with nice Diane sauce tasted good, as did the John Dory fish - keen to try other menu options & the current iteration of the Eastern Tiger buffet restaurant sometime too, most of which looks reasonably-priced.

have been here many times over the years but after what I saw last night when the girl lifted the pan from the hot food bar will haunt me forever . The water in there was like a cesspool. It makes me wonder what there food hygiene is like in general. Definitely not going back or renewing membership .

Had a lovely evening dining at the buffet. Prices were great and had a great atmosphere. Will definitely visit next time we are visiting Forster.

Had a great meal at the restaurant there last night.
Fantastic food, amazing staff. My only complaint is that I live too far away to make it a regular haunt.

Food was spectacular. Sadly, this club is let down by the young staff at the bar. They have no concept on greeting a customer and asking the good old “how are going mate”. All they care about was serve and turnover. Having been in the industry for a long time, these are people I trained my staff to not be like. Maybe, the fish rots from the head but in this case, to me it came down to attitude. I was an out of towner that sadly will not be back. I hate giving one star reviews but this was a letdown and left a bitter taste.

Buffet was AWESOME!! Great variety including plainer items for kids (nuggets, chips, spring rolls etc) and FRESH seafood!! Very friendly staff too :) was worth the drive!

A well kept club. The buffer is decently priced and good quality. The Chinese food is the best! I'll be back for bare foot and a beer looking over the greens for sure.

Am visiting my parents from nz , we had tea there it was amazing, lots to chose from , and staff were friendly highly recommend 😀

All you can eat buffet was nothing short of disgusting. A far cry from the beautiful food it used to be when it was situated out the front. Now you have to walk your kids past the drinking areas to share toilets with the club patrons. Very awkward to get to some foods. Definitely a never go back from me thanks. Pity as it was so good and been going since 2005. I somehow doubt it will be there for much longer. Well the coffee and some of the deserts were nice at the very least. Unfortunately it’s very bad value for money.

A little sampler plate of the all you can eat meal. As you can see I'm a seafood lover and quite fussy. All food was at a good temperature. Many different dishes to choose from. Staff were attentive with refilling the buffet, taking empty plates away quickly and great service in general. Highly recommend. Only warning is wear loose fitting clothes for the expanding waist. No one would walk away hungry.
