We hired a function room for a celebration of life event. The FG hotel team were absolutely amazing. They were very helpful and most considerate will our needs. Thank you so much.

We had our engagement party at FG hotel and we found the whole experience so easy and the staff were so lovely and helpful! Especially Ami!
The bar tenders that night were fantastic and so was the DJ which at late notice, was such a relief! It definately made the night :)
The BBQ meatballs were delish! Thanks to all who helped

We had an event time at our Easter event due to the service we had from Dakota, thank you to her for making the event so stress free!

Very rude service from the older lady working the bar downstairs. My friend and I came down to the bar from a function we were at upstairs and were told ‘I’m not serving ya kids’, although I just wanted a glass of water. Mind you my friend and I are 22. She turned her back to us and walked to the other side of the bar.
Then security came up to us and said we are not allowed downstairs because we’re at the function upstairs. Despite there being no signage/information stating this and us both being 18+. Again, all I wanted was a glass of water. Really disappointing experience.

This review is for their restaurant.
Our usual badminton games and searching where for lunch. A friend suggested to meet here for lunch so we obliged.
Service & Ambience [2.5]. Food is order at the counter and nothing fancy about the restaurant.
Food [2]. Let's focus on their food. We had two different Parma and seems the only difference is one come with onion rings. The fries lack taste and not crispy. The pizza (see picture) has sauce all over, not fantastic. Burger 🍔 so so.
For the price, it's not worth paying. The food portion is quite huge, it will make someone fill full but the taste.

The service was poor and the Nasi Goreng I ordered was one of the worst meals I've had in an establishment for a very long time.
I obviously didn't have high expectations for a pub meal however this was just horrible !!

There were 4 of us. Work colleagues. We all enjoyed our meals. Very nice. We will be back.

The kids were looking forward to heading out and having a nice meal out.
While we normally like to head to a few other locations we decided to try this place out again. While they have a similar menu to the Hallam Hotel a couple of dishes were not as pleasant as normal.
For the rest of the family they enjoyed what they had, which I was happy with.
The Service from the staff was excellent and the atmosphere was enjoyable too.

The food was ok, got my order wrong even though the receipt stated what I wanted, it said BBQ meat lovers and got a Magerita pizza i mentioned it and mentioned price difference i said I would it because I wasn't waiting for another 15 or 20 for food when other food was served to the table they did offer a replacement pizza which I couldn't except, but the was ok id eat again. The staff were friendly enough.

Servings are good and they have great discounts for seniors. The ribs needed more time as they were a bit dry.

Outstanding variety of food - and everything (if you've enough room to try it all) tastes amazing! Dinner at the fountain gate has become our large Families tradition whenever we visit from New Zealand for it's quality, costliness and the best part - suited playground areas for our Children of all ages making Family dinner a hassle free and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Only been to the pokies here, mostly because of the atmosphere, it just doesn't feel inviting to me, the tables in the bistro, kind of feel randomly placed there because there was nowhere else to put them, I have no idea what the food is like yet.

Meals were very tasty, l had the seniors porterhouse which came with chips, gravy and side salad, A1 customer service, very clean and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

I took a group of seniors to Fountain Gate Hotel today and we had a great visit. Zoe was our waitress and she was incredibly patient and helpful. There was room to put the walkers to the side so they were accessible but not in the way. The food was delicious and most of us had dessert and coffee, which we usually skip, but because we wee so comfortable everyone was keen to just hang out. The nice big windows meant the dining area felt bright and spacious. On top of all that the prices for Seniors meals was real value. Loved it!

I have been to fountain gate a few times and everytime I walk in I am pleasantly greeted with warm welcomes, one particular worker named Jemma is always so lovely and helpful, her bright smile and outgoing personality makes going here a positive experience.

I had the sliders as not a big eater they came quickly with garlic break but the steak my friend ordered took over half hour. The cocktails were well priced and made quickly but the service was 2 star Max. Neither server except the 1 guy who brought the sex on beach cocktail either like being there nor wanted to be there. We ended up due to the other restaurants we wanted to eat at being booked out. Mum's don't book ahead and we have learnt BOOK AHEAD.

I had a seniors meal which was Very Poor the food was cool and the lamb was tougher than old boots. The roast pork was just as bad, it's the 3rd time I have been there and it has NOT IMPROVED. COME ON PEOPLE THE FOOD IS NOT THAT HARD TO COOK.

Great family restaurant and there is always something on the menu to please everyone. I would like to mention how impressed we were with Gemma’s customer service. It is really refreshing to see a younger person have such a lovely and professional manner.

Came down for a few drinks, bar staff and security are absolutely amazing!

Came here on Christmas Day the food was actually really good the service from the staff was perfect. Especially when you're made to work on a day like Christmas.
The cocktails were amazing even though my first one got stuffed up and they brought me the wrong one. They were very apologetic.
