Whilst staying at the Best Western, we walked nightly to Gallopers Sports Club for dinner, which was just a short walk away. The food was great - generous portions, and well priced. We actually split the meals because there was enough for the two of us. If you plan on getting a whole meal for yourself, definitely come hungry!

We stayed just nearby and was so nice to have something so close to be able to have a few drinks and a meal. Baz was the manager....such great hospitality and as a bonus I became a member Such a friendly atmosphere as its also got a bowls green ...just didn't feel like you were in Brisbane which was so nice. Meal was nice and and the drinks were well priced. If we are ever that way again we will definitely come back 😊

We only tried their restaurant and the food was great! Friday special of half rack ribs and chips was so good and generous size. Very busy atmosphere but customer service was still good.

We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and live music on Sunday afternoon. The meals were generous and lovely. I was disappointed I couldn’t use EFT to play keno as they only allow cash. I suppose they only like cash donations at this club. Saved my money there.

We ate there twice over the last month as we had a horse running at both Doomben and Eagle Farm. It was some of the best club food I've had anywhere, in fact better than a lot of high priced restaurants. They do fish very well and the burger I had on Saturday night was delicious. They were very generous portions and the service was great. Can't recommend this place enough.

This is your classic bowls club and pub meals. The service is great with staff who care about the facility. Food quality was excellent with large serving sizes that will fill you for sure. Food came out very fast too. Plenty of seating inside and out. Ample parking outside. Great place for a chicken Parma.

The food and staff in the bistro were wonderful.
Unfortunately had a bad experience with the bar staff who were laughing and pointing at me while I was waiting to order a drink from the bar. I’m autistic and can present a certain way which I understand can be unusual. However, having a bunch of guys (staff mind you) laughing and pointing at me and call me a freak (yes I can lip read) while I did nothing except mind my own business and wait to buy a drink was horrible and had me almost in tears the whole night.
Unfortunately for that I will not be back in a hurry.
I don’t reccommend if you are neurodiverse or otherwise “different” as it was not a safe space for me in my experience.

Stopped in on a Friday to avoid sitting in traffic on way home.. medium size off street parking area.large open plan club. Gaming down one end and dining down the other. Very friendly staff and patrons. Has live music. Loved it because I won 2 seperate grand jackpots on the pokies there.. 8k which was just a random win and 10k.. never won one before so to hit 2 in 1 night.. fantastic. I'll be back for sure. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Decent crowds and a positive happy environment. Well worth a look. Spent a lot there because turned up with bugger all and left flush. Good food good drinks good times

Really good Venue, plenty of seating. Friendly staff.
Food was very delicious, cold beer.
I had the special pork chop, chips and salad, good size servings.

Our family met for a Thursday night large group we were sat right beside the speaker system for the trivia night...food was good service was good but we all went home with a headache it was asked to be turned down at least 3 times..they guy that runs it response was this is how I make my living.. and none of us will ever be back..

We went to this bar & restaurant on the recommendation of a local walking his dog. It was a great place to dine in after a busy day of travel. The selection of meals available was excellent and very reasonable pricewise. The staff in the restaurant and the bar were very pleasant and went about their tasks in an orderly manner. The dining tables were cleared quickly ready for the next customer. There is lots of vehicle parking space on site, suitable for disabled people with ramps to enter the building. A place that we would visit again if back in Brisbane.

Great outdoor area for large family gathering. Only problem it was so hot , some respite when went inside for drinks and food.

Great food at affordable price! I highly recommend this place for both friends and family occasions. Cassandra and her team provide a local pub atmosphere that is unmatched!

Getting a bit expensive and the pokies seem to be getting tighter, but food is consistently good and they manage the kitchen well when super busy.

Food is great, good value. Good service but due to patron noise you cannot hear raffle results. They need a better sound system.

Fish and chips made to perfection. I'm English so I've eaten a few. Perfectly grilled snapper and what can I say about those chips !!! Crispy on the outside and so Moorish, I had to stop. Well done chef top marks

Disappointed that the "Chicken Breast Supreme" was indeed NOT BREAST. It was THIGH with the skin on. I do not eat thigh. I paid for Breast. Not sure if this is intentionally misleading or not. Menu should reflect description exactly.... First time ever for less than 4.5 - 5 Star quality in 3 years. Very disappointed. Also meat on bone was raw although Mash & Veges great. Loud live music good, but not when eating meals and having conversations at the tables with families and friends. :(
Staff not at all engaging. Hope this is a one-off. After reading other reviews, not expecting a response from management. I honestly don't think they care. :(

As always, the eye fillet, chips, and salad were excellent again tonight.
My question is why they do not have a fish ( battered/crumbed) & chips as a staple on the menu. Fish & chips is a rotated special with Fisherman's Basket a menu staple. Fsh and chips is a basic on any club/pub menu imo.

A great place for dinner and drinks. Great food and great service. I joined the club for $1 and immediately got $1off of each drink and $2 off each meal. Highly recommended.

A great friendly atmosphere with amazing value meals to match! I transit through Brisbane every three weeks and make a bee line from my motel for a great value feed at Gallopers sports club! 😋
