WOW!!! First time visitors we loved it. I had the grilled salmon and my partner had the medium grilled steak. Bloody beautiful!!! The red wine just excellent. Don't normally have dessert but we did! 👍

We went here for Mother's Day dinner this time, but every time we go the food is lovely and the service is great!

We booked the Keilor Hotel for my birthday dinner. The staff was friendly and got our drinks order straight away. Bonus points for getting our drinks straight away. Our entrees were great. Followed by our mains. No room for a dessert. No one on our table had any issues on the night. The food was great quality. Great night, great food and drinks, great service. We will be back again.

Was super disappointed today! Hubby and I went for lunch and it was terrible! We have always been very fond of this place. Well, the chicken and bacon risotto I sent back to the kitchen was so bad that I’m still finding it hard to believe it was sent out to me like that! My husbands parma with mash and veg was absolutely disgusting also but the man was starving... staff or something must have changed. The manger on floor was very apologetic, however, he should have picked up on the horrendous food and took it back to kitchen rather then bring it to table. I understand they were all busy but unfortunately that’s not really my problem when paying for a service. Very unhappy and disappointed in what was a beautiful, cosy, inviting place we used to enjoy so much!

This is a great pub to go to and lots of parking. The food is home style yummy and great prices, with all styles to suit all tastes. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly and such lovley staff, could not have asked for a better experience.

This historic pub has so many great qualities. The old stone walls, the open fireplace, the additional decor in hallways to complete the feel, the food which was amazing.
What a shame that the service was so poor! We waited a half hour before someone took our order, our meals came but we had to chase up our drinks. Half an hour after we had finished our main meal our plates had still not been cleared and our desserts never arrived. So an hour and a half after we first arrived we gave up and left. Even then, there were no staff to be seen and had we been dishonest we could easily have walked out without paying. When a staff member finally appeared we discovered that our desserts had never been put through the system! We have had better service at less impressive establishments. I doubt we will ever go back.

The food was pretty good, I felt like it was a little on the pricey side for pub food. And it really irritated me that they wouldn't split the bill. It meant I had to get cash out and they said I had to go to the pokies to do that. So then it cost me an extra dollar when I felt like I was already paying too much.
Pretty much everyone at our table enjoyed there meal though and they did a good job bringing it all out together.

The atmosphere was great the staff where friendly and the beer was cold. The food really let the place down. I had the fisherman's basket, it was very disappointing. Oil soaked fish and chips substitute product for the calamari and scallops and dry prawns. For the price I expected food that I could eat. Half of the meal was left on the plate. Who ever came up with this experience needs to think again about if they really want people to come back. I am definitely not.

Sent us to a table then didn't take our order for half an hour. Had to flag down the waiter, he'd forgotten about us.
Had fish & chips and the fish was way too greasy and the tartare sauce was actually disgusting. It had almost no flavour at all.
But the other person I was with enjoyed their steak.
Would not recommend.

Really nice place with history. Was the first hotel on the way to Bendigo gold fields.
Bring your appetite with you as the plates are huge. Food was delicious and staff friendly. #createwithlizzie

My wife & i travelled there yesterday 03/01/2018. My wife had a lamb salad which was a large serving & tasty. I had a whole barramundi with side salad. Barra was beautiful. Service was excellent!!

Michelle and the team at the Keilor Hotel are amazing. We had our wedding there and went to celebrate our wedding anniversary today. They were so happy to see us and made us feel really appreciated and welcome. The food was , as usual, amazing. The staff led by Michelle are fantastic. Highly recommended 🙏

Lovely pub/restaurant!. Had an excellent steak pie with the the loveliest pastry! The kids menu is great and they have a wide selection of drinks available. The big wood fire in the centre of the room just made it feel homey and comfortable.

I went to the Galway arms for a function last night. The staff were rude and every request seemed to be too much trouble. It took an hour to get water at our table...then the water came but no glasses with it.
The food was not at all tasty or reasonably priced.
It was really disappointing as the venue looks nice but the hospitality from staff and the food are definitely not!

I had heard great reviews but nothing from our family dinner out stood up to what l had heard. The service was very slack, the staff were on you to order as soon as we were seated, or not interested in taking orders when we were ready. The food when it arrived was tasteless. I don't mind paying a cost for a nice meal, but for tasteless food that is costly, is not on. The kitchen couldn't even get the chips right. Myself, family and friends will not be eating at or refering this hotel to anyone.

Great pub with really interesting period features, it's like stepping back in time. It's also a lot bigger inside than expected. The venue is split up into various areas including bars, bistro, a huge reception space and gaming area. There are lots of little nooks and crannies to explore including displays of historical clothing, shop fronts, blacksmithing tools, horse drawn carriage etc. The service in the bistro was efficient and the food we had was well prepared and good value for money. Fish served in the fish and chips was barramundi, beautiful and succulent, light crispy batter and a generous serve. Buffalo wings with blue cheese dipping sauce was very spicy hot, just as they should be. All up a good experience that we will be repeating.

Food was great and service was... an experience. There was the man who stood in the middle of the room yelling out orders for table delivery which caused some confusion as the dish was ordered by multiple people. The service staff often called out the dish name instead of checking which table the order came from all through the meal and the place was busy so again with the confusion - maybe they need to overhaul their ordering system becuase ALL the service staff had a hard time figuring out where everything should go which suggests a sytem failure instead of human error. There were also staff asking customers if they had the right dish part way through a meal. So all in all the food was fantastic, most of the service staff were sweet- bar the yeller- and could probably do with a better order delivery system

First time of having a meal here, certainly won't be the last time. All 21 of us enjoyed our meals, steak was tender, calamari tender, fall of the bone ribs with just right kick to the bbq sauce, the list could go on. Staff were pleasant and efficient, no waiting for a person's meal, all were rolled out one after the other. Interesting place with lots of history, thoroughly enjoyed, certainly recommend for a nice bistro meal.

Caught up with a mate for a beer and meal. Had the chicken breast parma and it was spot on, still moist and tender with a nice smokey flavour to the sauce and the cheese was just at the right point. Chips where hot and fresh and the side salad was crisp and well dressed. The Beer (Mountain Goat on Tap) was cold and the table service was great.

Only the inability to split the bill puts a slight dampener on our get togethers.

A favourite haunt. Great vibe and we love the seniors menu! Plenty of parking.
