We visited today for lunch 17th March. It was absolutely terrible.
From where l was sitting, l could see into the kitchen. The chef was using a pair of long tongs to scratch his back. Then placed them down on to the work bench. He then used the same tongs to put wedges on a customers plate. And that customer was me!
The ribs l ordered were pre done cryovac ribs bought in, and just re heated. Slapped a lick of BBQ sauce on it. Cheaply made coleslaw, drowned in Mayo. The plate was a ugly mess. No effort or pride in the presentation.
My partner ordered Nasi Goreng. Was rubbish.
The bar staff are young men who have no idea about customer service. Presentation was like they just woke up and came into work. Unwashed hair. Very poor.
No wonder the bistro was very quiet.
Won't be back for a meal.

Went to RSL for birthday dinner. 5 meals ordered only 4 turn up to table. Staff said will quickly fix up and supply meal but waited and waited . Other meals finished still no meal. Not a good birthday celebration. Meal cancelled and refund given.

We had the pleasure of Christmas Lunch at the Belmont RSL , this year 2023, A VERY BIG THANK YOU, for an absolutely outstanding Lunch prepared with love, it was a memorable experience, which we appreciated very much, Superb food , great service , and delightful staff, well deserved 5 stars, have a Happy and Joyful New Year, we will certainly return, Blessings Jude and Ken.

Visiting from.Warrnambool, Really nice place. Had a lovely meal for two.. just a very quick getaway for us old parents of teens! Battered fish and chips will salad for me, beef schnitzel with gravy and veg for hubby with a garlic loaf to start. All very nice to eat and lovely staff. Couple of drinks and some time at the pokies and then we walked back to our rices were r accommodation which was just 5 mins on foot. Recommended for a casual or even slightly more meal. Prices were very appropriate and large serving sizes. Can't go wrong at an RSL. xx

Very crowded today since it was Father's Day. We went in without a booking, but they were kind enough to allocate us outdoor seating. The kitchen was obviously too busy and we had to wait almost 45 minutes to get our lunch. Staff was friendly and nice.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. The place was great. I will be back again

The night we visited was “steak night” so the place was packed, hence our meals took longer to arrive.
Now I’ve had a couple of poor chicken pama’s over the years, but the one that I received (eventually) was definitely in my top two or three of “horrible” pama’s.
Dry as old boots, there was some nepolitana sauce in there somewhere, but dried out to the point of being useless.
There’s only so many ways to bugger up a pama, but they seemed to come up with a new one.
Then there was the chips. Another disaster. “Nearly cremated” as my partner said.
The salad was forgettable as well, very ordinary.
All in all a totally forgettable experience.
I’m sure there are many more options in Geelong, so we’ll be investigating them on our next visit.

Steak sandwich was tough and very disappointing, our orders were incorrect as the girl taking our orders did not understand . Whilst eating dinner a waitress decided to place the lunch menu for the next day on the table, then she asked “ are you done” to some of our guests then removed the empty plates. What is going on with the hospitality industry, why is their no care factor or professionalism anymore? Some of our guests were ready to hand in their memberships. On a good note the risotto and salmon was good.

Normally excellent meal - however tonight Tempura Prawns we’re unshelled in batter !!
Definitely not up to standard.

Never thought I'd see the day that they could ruin Anzac day. Disgraceful have to be over 18 to go out the back to support the fund raising with sausage sizzle and what not. Yet the servers they use are under age. Absolute hypocrits 2 sets of rules a joke and now we can only blame people like you for the future of Anzac day to be totally forgotten by the next generation. Hang you heads in shame to see there is no Anzac spirit now and probably alot less money raised for the Anzac. May as well cancel the ode as well. For over 20 years have been there on Anzac day along with alot more people. Now wont go back there and will no longer talk up aaand promote such a pity ful place. Thanks to you now my own children can't keep the Anzac celebrations going. Pathetic and heart breaking to see it ruined

My partner order Roast Lamb which was delivered with NO roast potatoes, actually NO potatoes at all. Other people got potatoes with their roast Lamb. Others were getting lovely fish & chips (not on the menu)
Thank goodness at our RSL Mt Gambier, we get fantastic meals. Will not return to this RSL.

I was very underwhelmed by this venue.
It felt more like I was in a function room from the old days.
Very dated especially the Carpet.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Food was very Average.
Dessert was nice.

I’ve been going to the RSL for a few years now & the meals have been awesome! But for the last 6 months or so the seafood meals have been really bad! I’ve ordered the fish & chips (large meal) & got the 2 smallest pieces of fish I’ve ever seen! Tonight I ordered the mini seafood selection & the fish looked like it was from a packet that you can get at Aldi!!! Very disappointed & I won’t be ordering a seafood meal there again.

I travel a lot for work and this is by far the best RSL I have visited. Amazing staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! I have never experienced such happy and helpful staff! Also a nice menu and reasonably priced meals.

I took an elderly couple to this RSL so they could have some fun on the pokies for an hour or so. When they checked in, the woman got a $15 meal voucher for the month of her birthday. She was so happy to get it and she is looking forward to coming back very soon to use it. It was too early for the lunch, so the place was pretty quiet. It was very clean or orderly and the pattern on the carpet was quite unique. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, from the staff to the other patrons of the venue. It was bright and fresh looking, though a section of the building is under construction at the moment, so it will be exciting to see what additions are on the way.

Great value for money. Generous servings and popular family gathering place. Couple of people also bought memberships on the day. Enjoyed our family meal here. Usual pub fare in a no frills setting with modest decor. Contemporary establishment with accessible venue seating. Will recommend to go with family / grandies

Great atmosphere, free car parking, friendly customer service and delicious Sunday Lamb Roast lunch. Tender meat, freshly cooked veg but under seasoned. Great portions, great price, would recommend 🤩

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Good value meals and being a member has a lot of benefits. Recently renovated.
Disappointed that the kitchen didn't do the little things like season the chips or put a dressing on the salad. It's the simple things that make a big difference.

Good place for a meal. The dishes we chose were a 7 out of ten, a little to greasy. But were jealous of what we saw others eating. Will change my order next visit.

Came here last night with my housemate for celebratory tea as I have nearly finished my Enrolled Nursing course.. Food was excellent. Well presented on the plate, tasty and well seasoned and easy to chew and get through😋😋 I had onion rings to share with my housemate then I had mini seafood selction for mains and sticky date pudding for desserts🥧😋 My housemate had roast beef with veggies for mains and a chocolate pudding for sweets🥧😃 Friendly bar and wait staff and I even won a meat tray to take home..🍖🍗🥩🥩 Will be back again..

Attended RSL for Christmas dinner. Numerous patrons as premises booked out. We enjoyed a very nice 4 course meal which was well cooked and presented by the friendly/helpful staff who were always obliging even though virtually run off their feet. Excellent meal & service.
