Yéééé we found a place that is alive in Adelaide. This place is fantastic, lots of people great choices of beer a bit iff the beaten track. Still in cbd but we meet a lot of local people. Nice chat, did i mention nice beers. Loved it.

Wings are good on a Wednesday/Thursday booking a must! Beers usually good, im not into unique beers FYI.
Has live music, and not as crowded as it probably should be.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Gilbert!! We are local. We loved the different eating areas, out the front, back and indoors. Staff were lovely and so helpful! We enjoy a range of dishes including the barramundi, jackfish and curry dishes. Every dish was presented well using fresh produce, no frozen seafood, and all seasoned well. Really spacious dining area, clean bathrooms and easy to get to. Enjoy

Upmarket dining in a cosy pub setting, accompanied by a range of craft beers. Front bar was packed for a Friday night, only downside was my chicken sandwich came out ten mins after the other 5 people on my table had already begun eating. Was tasty though.

The food is great! An excellent range of wines. The staff are very efficient and also very friendly. They have great music there.

The BEST fish and chips I’ve ever had, lightly bathed and tenderness that melted in my mouth. My fiancés pizza was also cooked to perfection. The perfect balance!! Crust cooked excellently. If you’re in Adelaide you would be stupid not to come here! Traveled all the way for Victoria and would do it again in a heartbeat
Edit: The food is that good that we come back a second night in a row just to get the fish and chips 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Real impressive beer list, and wonderful bartenders who created a mint choc espresso martini for us upon request! The onsen egg on the Caesar salad felt wrong but was so right, and pasta was not too bad either!

Outstanding Dining Experience
My recent lunch experience was nothing short of exceptional. The chef personally delivered our meals and offered insightful recommendations, adding a personal touch to our visit. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality, we had a table right next to the kitchen and it made our time there truly memorable.
Can’t recommend more!
Based on his recommendation we had the kangaroo and it was as good as the chef explained.

Only stopped in for a quick couple to drinks but the beer and spirits list very impressive. Great, clearly well thought out range of different craft beers both local and international. Space seemed very warm and inviting. I didn't eat there but the menu looked decent.

I was there on Sat.18th Nov. 2023.with about 15 or so friends celebrating the the lives of two dear friends taken too early. Sam and the staff at the hotel would not have known why we were there however their professional,smiling service along with the generous finger food on the pubs 175th birthday made what is to be a tri annual event for us all a very special occasion. I cannot thank you enough. See you in March.

It is a one of the best pub in the CBD. Especially I recommend to visit it on Sunday when live music and they have very cool beer Mucho Mucho Lager.

If you're looking for the best place to get wings in Adelaide this is it. Great wing night, just remember to order in advance.
Other food on other nights can be a bit hit and miss, but you can't have a bad wings night.
The pub it's self is a nice local with a good selection of Aussie beers and in winter when the fire is on its a nice place to catch up.

If you find yourself in Adelaide and seeking the quintessential wing experience, look no further than this establishment. The wing night here is unparalleled, though I must advise you to place your order in advance to avoid disappointment.
As for the other culinary offerings on different evenings, one might say they vary in quality, but the wings—ah, you simply cannot go wrong with wings night. It's a culinary certainty.
The pub itself exudes a charming local ambiance, complete with a fine selection of Australian beers. During the winter months, when the fire crackles warmly, it becomes a haven for convivial gatherings and heartfelt conversations.

I booked the Sala Room for my birthday which was a very cute little space! Unfortunately the seats were stained and the room was a bit dirty when we got there, but the staff were extremely attentive and friendly which made the whole night an absolute breeze.

Had to write a review because I had the cauliflower steak with crispy chickpeas and hummus yesterday and it was HEAVEN! The hummus was the stuff of dreams and I don’t know what you did to that red onion but it was fantastic! I’ll be coming back just for that delicious flavour party! The live music was also great 😊

GSH is a beautiful venue and even more so on a Sunday afternoon with live music and warm atmosphere. We enjoyed catching up as a group of friends over drinks and look forward to returning for a meal in the near future. I’m about to move into the area so I’m feeling as if this going to be my new local

Great pubgrub, more gastro pub meal, we had the Angus beef snitty with the onion rings and peppercorn sauce on the snitty. Delish, the macho macho larger on tap was great, too. The beef schnitzel was very reasonably priced at $22.00. If you want to enjoy a great meal and a beer, the pub is charming and has a great atmosphere.

Great place to have drinks after work, or dinner catch up with friends. The menu is great with variety and the options of beverages are abundant. Food tastes great and service was fantastic. Live bands playing most days, but check in advance. Recommend booking a table in advance on Fridays.

Great lunch special, although steak was very much medium - well rather than medium rare.
Small but tasty, nice Caesar salad, good price.

Great atmosphere, welcoming staff, great food. We shared tapas and they were all really nice. Anchovy fingers, Korean meatballs, beef skewers, potato focaccia (really generous and tasty). Lots to choose from. Cool atmosphere and the music in the background was enjoyable. A very nice evening.

First time here. Great wings with lots of variety and all of them tasty. They have a great range of beer and spirits as well. They have different specials on each night of the week, so definitely worth your time.

Fantastic experience at this pub! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. It's the perfect spot to unwind on a Friday night, with great DJ music and a lively crowd. Highly recommend for a chill night out!

Dinner on a Saturday night.
Not busy.
Seat yourself, get your own menus, order at the bar.
Despite a decent looking menu the food was poorly cooked (market fish was bland and overcooked leather jacket) with a child’s serve of fries and a few lettuce leaves. Very. Very. Disappointed!

Absolutely awesome pub!! We came last Friday while on holiday in Adelaide. Really loved the vibe with DJ mixing great tunes, awesome cocktail menu and great food. Very friendly and helpful service as well 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
