We had our boys first holy communion reception done at the hotel . I am 100% satisfied and grateful with their service and above and beyond what I had expected . They let me decorate the areas and make our day special
The staff have been amazing and the food was delicious too. I was impressed by the customer service and the way how they handled our requests to facilitate our function was appreciative . Deb the manager was amazing and very understandable. Erick was also helpful. All the team members are very pleasant , approachable and always had beautiful welcoming smile on their face . This wasn’t the first time we had the functions snd every time the service gets better and am extremely happy with their service delivery. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Deb and get team members for helping us out to create a wonderful and memorable evening fir our family

We had a lovely family lunch. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The atmosphere was great and the kids loved the play area.

We got shown to our tables and left. Nobody told us whether or not we had to order at the bar or if they would take our order. Would have been nice to be offered table water. Kids meals were a wide choice which was great and the play area great. I had salt and pepper squid which was very bland, basically crumbed calamari, no salt or pepper flavour.

We dine out as a group up to 14 people and are happy with the venue. Last night the feedback was quite good, except no-one enjoys the salads any more. There was one piece of tomato, a tiny bit of onion and supposedly green stuff they call lettuce. Also there was no dressing!

Waited 30mins for food, got told that restaurant was closing in 5 mins if we could finish up... yet hadn't even been served our food... waited another 15mins after being told our food had been thrown out?? To get served horrible potatoe salad and mediocre food, and kids grilled chicken was like plastic.
Good points.... we did receive a $25 voucher, to share between three unrelated people.. and dessert was packed away by the time we had eaten.
Not a great experience for our table tonight... photo is of what was left on our plates after dinner.

This is absolutely a 5 star hotel restaurant for families. We were visiting Ballarat two days and we had two dinners here. Kids were super excited with the food and the play space. They had free drinks and ice cream from their kids menu. This is the highlight of our trip.

Staff were all friendly, food was delicious and kids food came out minutes after ordering (very handy)! Playground and dining area was great. Making Ballarat a memorable stay.

Really amazing atmosphere we went in around 7pm got seated quietly meals came out hot promptly and drinks also the staff were very friendly and the play area. Has a seating area to watch the kids

Pork dish was average. The items just do t go together. Kids spaghetti was all
Meat, no pasta while the other was all pasta less meat. Meals didn’t come out together and I had to go seeking my own steak knife.
Returning is unlikely

Place was really busy on a Friday night, we made a reservation as there were abt 20 of us for dinner. It was great that we each went to order, and paid for our meals separately.
The food were served reasonably quickly. Pretty nice pub food, I had the pork belly, and hubby had the pasta carbonara, though the pork belly was nice, the pasta was the pick of the night for me.
Staff were friendly, there is a huge play area for kids.

Not greeted for seating. Ended up finding our table ourselves. Food very average. Parmas both incredibly dry and seem to have been precooked and rewarmed for service. Burger sloppy… bun too small for filling and just fell apart. Pizza soggy and looked to have been out of a pancake instead of pizza dough. Bar service so slow.

New menu looks great and the adult meals we ordered tasted fantastic. Unfortunately the children’s meals (nuggets and chips) didn’t come out until after the adults had finished. We asked a couple of times if the kids’ meals were far away. Both children said that nuggets weren’t very tasty.

Kids heaven🥳 Food - okay. Service - depending on the staff, the gentleman at the coffee counter was really nice. Highlights - playground, $1 baby chino, kids & GF meal options. Bookings recommended to secure your table.The bistro and play area open at 11:30 AM.

Kids had fun, one of the better family venues I have been to. Like all big hotel/bistros it was very noisy. Great coffee for fuddy duddy daddies like myself who had a long drive home.

Is this the best pub in the world? Far from it. Does it have the greatest food? No. What it does have is friendly and helpful staff, good food for a decent price (especially if eating at the sports bar) and a massive screen that was streaming the cricket. Excellent feed and a few drinks. Had an excellent evening.

Great choice if you want to enjoy a nice dinner while the kids run wild in the play area. Service is great and everyone on the crew was super helpful. Despite the string of mistakes with our order, the staff was always on hand to assist and resolve the problem. We all make mistakes, so it's how they get resolved that really matters.
Everyone at the table enjoyed the food and portions were generous. More plant-based options would be nice.
The one thing that kept sabotaging our good time was the unfortunate fact that we were seated near the door to the outside smoking area. The busier the restaurant got, the more that door got opened; each time delivering a lungful of cigarette smoke to my young kids.
One might say we were unlucky, but the fact that smokers are allowed to be that close to restaurant floor is a definite no-no.
Regardless, we will be back.

Great atmosphere, huge & modern kids area, delicious food at reasonable prices, fast and friendly service. First time here as a family, we'll definitely be returning. One thing I would to add, is the addition of a baby change table and nappy bin. However, there may be one somewhere already that I didn't come across.

Food was delicious.
The more mature members of staff, need to look at how young staff relate to customers, they might learn something about good customer service !
Our encounter at the service desk, left us feeling totally unwelcome, the frosty face was a turn off. We chose not to sit directly next to to the toilets and as far away from the play area as you could get, especially as we had a 3 year old.
Requested a more suitable table, the treatment we received was unpleasant. Wouldn’t recommend or return.

Food was average, more like home cooked meals rather than nice dining out food. On the plus side regardless of being very busy food came quickly. Very kid friendly, play space is great.

Food is pretty good. Huge indoor playground for the kids to play. Food came out very quickly. It took us a while to get seated down but other than that, it was a pleasant experience all around.

First time visitor and I must say it was quite nice. Lunch was quick from ordering, toilets near and clean. Kids playground was great as well.
Meals were a great size for adults and kids.

Every thing great, except for the removal of dinner plates and empty glasses.
Ordered meal 12.29 came very quickly. After 2 pm I removed plates and glasses to a nearby table so we could have room for dessert and hot drinks. Ordered these 2.20.
Noticed other tables were not cleared either. But ours was a long time.

Booked for a party of 30- mix of adults and kids.
Service was fast. Food was delicious. Staff were very accommodating. 10/10 experience.
I have a happiness free sister and she mentioned that she didn't have many options as a gluten, dairy free vegetarian.
Will absolutely consider for future functions.

Amazing Mother's Day lunch and atmosphere which my mum thoroughly enjoyed and the staff and efficiency of service was the best you could ask for also we all enjoyed our meals which were great and delivered with a smile.
Will definitely return again and again.

A good establishment, we were met by a very pleasant and helpful man. Looks like a great place to take the kids as there is a special area for them. Food was good and service prompt.

10/10 for meal presentation and taste. We ordered Rib Eye, lamb shoulder, Ora King Salmon & Portuguese Chicken (warning chilli very spicy but nothing i couldn't handle) Zagames is a family friendly food chain. This place has a fantastic play area for little kids to run around and play while mum and dad can enjoy their meal. The service was really good compared to what other reviews say, and the wait time for all our meals wasn't long at all.
