Relaxed quarters in a straightforward motor inn offering a heated outdoor pool & a hot tub. Set along the B280 Highway, this laid-back motor inn is 4 km from the Bendigo Art Gallery and Rosalind Park gardens. The relaxed rooms offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minifridges, plus sofas, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Upgrades add DVD players and iPod docks; some have whirlpool baths. Written on behalf of Mrs Morgan. As a regular visitor to Bendigo, I look forward to my stay at the Golden Reef Motor Inn. I know that I will be extremely comfortable, well looked after, and will enjoy their delicious breakfasts. Comfortable beds, good reading, lights and overall, a very relaxing stay. Would have given this higher rating as the place is great, nicely renovated with new bathrooms etc, but we were here for work and it was advertised as 2 bedroom. False advertising!! It’s 1 bedroom plus the main bed in the actual room. For a family this would be ok but for a work stay, not good.

What a great find if you ever need accommodation in this area we highly recommend. Very clean, spacious, tidy and well equipped rooms. Mini bar well stocked and very very reasonably priced. Affordable tariff and very much found everything as you would hope for.

We had a very comfortable 2-night stay. The location was excellent for us as we had a function to attend in a nearby hall. It was also walking distance from the Bendigo Club where we had several nice meals. The room was large enough for us and had plenty of room for a table and four chairs. It was clean and tidy, and our hosts were friendly and helpful. We have re-booked for another visit next year.|

We found the room, bathroom, etc. very clean couldn't fault it, the sheets and bed very comfortable. Air conditioning worked beautifully.||When we return to Bendigo, we will certainly be booking Golden Reef Motor Inn again.

Very disappointing air-conditioner broke down very noisy couldn't sleep. I asked nicely to have it looked at but basically they chose to ignore my request . Will never ever recommend this motel at $170 a night for a deluxe suite never ever again

Very clean and well maintained, but we were unlucky to get a noisy group next door returning at 3am and talking loudly for some time. Not even a part-refund was offered when reported. Friday night was delightfully peaceful - just beware of the Saturday night clientele.

Very clean and comfortable. Eugene was friendly and helpful, offering plates and cutlery without us even asking for them. Surprisingly quiet. We will stay again.

Unit 12 , two very spacious rooms with great beds and quality linen. Very clean and fresh. Would happily stay there again.

This Motel is extremely well run. I have always enjoyed the beautiful breakfast served and greatly appreciate the good bedside lighting. As a return traveller, I highly recommend this Motel for your next Bendigo stay.

This is the first motel that we couldn't hear people in the next room....amazing. hot water excellent, water pressure awesome!!! Room clean and really the quality meant we experienced a really enjoyable stay in Bendigo and would definitely return again to the Golden Reef.

Such a lovely clean motel. The rooms where clean and cosy was a great find last minute. Stayed in a family room. Very nice. Good position opposite the club handy for meals. Beds were clean and comfortable. Needed extra sugar reception where very accomodating

Stayed over the Easter long weekend. Clean and comfortable. Lovely staff in reception and housekeeping. Good parking. Pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was considering it seemed to be a full house. No complaints. Good value for money. A short drive into the CBD.

Perfect for a family of 4 in the Family Room. Seperate bedroom for the kids with 2 single beds and a tv. Easy check in. Enough room in the car park to swing a big ute around. I would stay again next time we are in Bendigo.

Our bed sheets had blood stains all over them, cockroaches in the room, no floor towel, hand towel or face washers provided. No cutlery, plates etc. Beds were super uncomfortable.
Was sitting outside our room talking quietly with a friend (practically whispering), and we got told very rudely to "call it a night" and go to bed by staff. Our kids inside our room where we were sitting couldn't even hear us and slept. 10pm on a Saturday night of a long weekend...we were shocked we weren't allowed to sit out the front and chat. Kids weren't allowed to bounce their ball outside during the day either.

It's always a delight to stay at the Golden Reef Motor Inn where you are assured of a warm welcome, a very comfortable bedroom with all the conveniences and a fantastic breakfast. Plus, it's great location.|As always, I thoroughly recommend this excellent Motel.

Great location to a conference we were attending across the road. Clean and comfortable room that was fairly priced and car park was easy to navigate. There is a supermarket and bottle shop a 2 minute drive away. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Golden Reef Bendigo was fabulous. Clean, well appointed rooms and friendly approachable staff. The pool and spa (with accessible shade) were a great hit with the kids on the hot days. We also like that it’s walking distance from dining options. We will visit again for sure.

Found this place quite by chance and was surprised by the quality maintained. It was very clean and well maintained, especially bathroom s. Rooms were big and comfortable. Ideal for families and very good value for money. Friendly staff. Can order breakfast as extras from them. There is a small pool but didn't have time to try it.
It is a bit further from the city centre so need to drive if you want to get to the city centre. There is a park within walking distance for kids to enjoy.

Fabulous location handy to our destination venue for linedancing and dinner at the Bendigo Club. Excellent contact from management, immaculate family suite, good parking and comfortable beds. Certainly recommend.

Eugene and Brooke are welcoming and obliging hosts. We stay here everytime we come to Bendigo. Clean, quiet and good sized room. Room 14 is set aside as accessible room; handrails in shower and toilet. Bathroom is big
It's a bigger room and most things are set with access in mind. Hosts also offer shower chair.

Clean, comfortable, quiet. It is a motel so don't expect anything more than that, but it is newly renovated and does everything you need a motel to do. One criticism would be the lack of plates / cutlery which makes having a sandwich or toast & jam a little tricky.
