Went to cafe velo for a quick lunch. Atmosphere was nice and service was plesent. Basic food. Took some time to come out and the spread from drinks being served to food being served was to long.

we are the two asian tourists aksed for iced long black.

Underwhelming, dropped in Sunday afternoon for coffee and cake. Won't bother again! I asked for a long black with cream on the side, young lady said that would be fine. Paid, sat and waited. Long black came out, with a sorry no cream but I can froth up some milk. I don't drink milk, nor black coffee so I asked that the coffee be taken away. coffee was removed without even an offer of a refund. Clearly the focus here is the gaming venue not the cafe.

This is a cute little cafe, it’s just unfortunate that there are no vegan or dairy free options (they even ran out of avocado). No syrup available for the coffee, no dairy free muffins or cakes. This place has SO MUCH potential, it’s just lacking in areas which are painfully obvious… if they had a decent menu which caters for everyone, they can take advantage of the wonderful location they are in and attract a more cultured demographic. You could even attract the after work drinks crowd with this place…

Staff members are rude, guy that works behind the bar made my partner feel very uneasy due to his Consistent staring/looking her up and down.. We left the venue due to that and will not be back. Will also be telling everyone i know to not go there aswell.

Nice place to unwind have a drink , play pokies if you want . Easy walk from town .

My partner and l called in for breakfast, the lady who served us was very friendly.. I ordered the Squealing French Toast with bacon and my partner ordered egg and bacon roll with tomato relish.. We both liked our meals although some parts of the bacon were overdone, over all it was very tasty especially the toasted corn sourdough bread. The cafe was filled with memorabilia and it had a homely feel.. Recommend

Location and atmosphere great. Service was extremely slow even with limited customers. Had the schnitzel burger which was dry. Wife is a vegan and no options for her she was offered an avocado toast which was very average. Coffee wasn't hot enough but at least staff member was appreciative of coffee feedback.

I took my family to the city family and they wouldn't let us in.
A shame that we will now not return to Bendigo for a family holiday.
I have never been so humiliated when I was told that I was intoxicated when I don't drink.

Enjoyed the best coffee in years....
Service was equally fantastic. Sadly, the breakfast/luncheon menu is overwhelmed, for the lack of kitchen facilities, hence food cold but not the staffs fault more designed issue's
