Went to GDSC for our work Xmas party, the club bus picked us up, good food, good service, pleasant staff members. We played bare foot bowls with the assistance of some senior members, helping us with how to play. Great family environment. Have now become a member and will be returning often.

Went for dinner last night for a 40th birthday party.... the most absolutely worst 1st impression from a disgustingly greeted lady at the front counter, so rude with no customer service skills.
The meal was no better my family waited 1.5hrs for basic meals, the chips were as cold as the salad.

Very nice club,great courtesy bus service very friendly staff,food very good, prices were very reasonable for an rsl club would highly recomend

The snitzel was quite nice however the hour wait for it was not. Seemed like they were more concerned with the function than serving other diners within reasonable time frame

The GDSC hosted my engagement party in November last year, everything went swimmingly.
Love the decor, really refreshing.
Had lunch and dinner multiple times here and never had a bad experience, staff are excellent and the 'pub grub' is the best in town. Great value too.

The club it's self is well presented,clean , friendly and inviting, staff are professional and more than helpful. What does let this club down is lack of variety in food menu quality of the food on plate, in plain language the food is plain.

Reception desk was quiet Dow at signing out of area guests into the club. The lady seemed preoccupied with other things and was trying to multitask.
We went to the bistro where the prices were average for a rural club. The wait time for a Schnitzel and Fish and Chips was over 40 minutes, when the dining area was quiet.
The bar service was quick and the prices are cheap here. The gentleman working didn’t seem to happy to be working.
The amenities were clean.
Parking and entry needs to be labelled more clearly.

Part of a bus tour of the Hunter Valley Festival, Grafton went to a lot of event to make this a success...

Ordered the marinated chicken breast...Heads up- Marinated chicken breast is in no way marinated. It's is just plain grilled .. the chef was asked and is fully aware, was not a mistake, just hoped it wouldn't matter. No apology, business as usual. Bad form.

More Gluten-free meals available now - sorry forgot to take a photo of my main meal which was a "Works Burger" on a Gluten-free Bun. My carer did have Gluten-free cake - I think it's Chocolate Layer Cake & she said it was Yummo !

I’m absolutely appalled by this place, the wait time was over an hour due to there lack of time management in managing events in accordance to there restaurant time. I understand having an event but there was no recognition to there customers waiting for there meal in the restaurant. Alongside that no apology was given, when we did finally receive our food half of it came out cold. Don’t be finessed by there lovely exterior. Luckily there is a KFC down the road. The only good thing about this place was leaving.

I have a great time at GDSC but there restaurant has slipped a lot since Covid. Vegetables are uncooked, mostly served cold and there is not a great selection of different meals any more.

I enjoy this club as it has a friendly atmosphere, the food is really good and the staff are very helpful. There is a but- the voice of the male rabbiting off the raffle numbers at meal time at night is far too loud. Why we have to listen to it is beyond me.

Highs and lows of yesterday's lunch. Best corned beef, tender and delicious. Roast beef worst meal ever. Presentation looked like 2 shoe soles mounded high covered in gravy. Put me off just looking at it. Proved to be correct. Excessive 2 large thick tough slices hiding overcooked veg. The pumpkin was nice. Presentation just disgusting.

Food was ok they forgot one meal then it had no sauce on the salad and the $4 gravey was not well received.

Food is frozen,nothing fresh.
Specials on the boards are never available.
Got sold $50 worth of raffle tickets to be told at the end of the raffle I had to imagine there's a 5 infront of my ticket numbers. Like why wouldn't they tell me that at the start???
Very very disappointed 😞

Feel like the food has dropped in quality asked for the special was sold out seems like that every night now and my works burger wasnt that good ive had better
Also paying an extra 4 dollars for a handfull of chips i fuess times are tough
im a long time customer and member of the club i definitely wasnt impressed

Easy parking, several bars, bistro and secondary type bistro for smaller meals. No real craft beers on tap, basic beers but friendly service. Ordered food as pictured. Chicken wings and seafood basket. Seafood basket was just ok. Very bland and not much taste. Wings were ok again, but soaked in a sickly sweet sauce which covered the salad with a different dressing. Wings were whole, which are a messy affair to pull apart. Great selection of pokies. I petsonally wouldn't return for the beer or food, but if local, you would enjoy having a beer here.

Coffee shop only serves coffees in takeaway paper.
Not the ambience wanted.
No teaspoons to add/adjust sweetener.

Booked a table for 7 a week advance and they spell our family's name wrong on purpose after I spelled it out to them!
Jessica at the restaurant was rude and wouldn't let my kids order their dessert she was on a huge power trip and said my kids couldn't get their dessert because they were too loud! Disgusting young kids running a restaurant that don't care for business just their egos!

Average, however the pasta and pizza dishes looked amazing compared to the schnitzel and fish n chips we got. Kids meal came out fast however ours took 30 minutes. Only reason for the 3* and not 2* is because of the friendly lady that served me while getting my kids ice creams and Anzac cookies. Lovely customer service, and threw in some extra cookies. You deserve a raise!
