We had a fab “fambo catch up” here last Sat 16 March 2024, in the late afternoon. We all had a ball, including 2 people (my Aunty & Uncle) who are 80! It gets better (I love this place):
1) At 10:15am (just after they opened), after breakfast I walked across the street (stayed at Adina) & ordered a large glass of wine whilst awaiting 3 different (fambo) cars to arrive
2) At approx 4pm all of us returned after a fab long lunch at Patina Customs House
3) All drinks were good value & all extra food we ordered was tasty & inexpensive
4) I ordered sparkling mineral water & lemonade & lemon/lime/bitters many times between drinks to ensure we were all in control & they were very inexpensive & the staff appreciated it
5) We all left at 9:15pm & the “old ones” went to bed
6) After walking around the Brisvegas CBD at 9:30pm to try to find an open bottle shop (none!) my cousins & I came back. They went home to hotel & I stayed
7) As a smoker, I sat outside in the smoking area by myself, with people around me (they were all lovely & fine & safe - no risk, even though I’m 50 & scrawny & left Brisvegas 30 years ago)
8) BEST surprise ever? While I was sitting outside, a truly caring & super kind Security Guard (who was of either Maori or Islander or Samoan descent - sorry I can’t tell x) stood at the stairs & watched over everyone to make sure all of us outside were safe & protected: what a magnificent Man 🥰
Thank you for a wonderful night in which I wasn’t only “super HAPPY” but also “Super SAFE” x I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful place 🤩🤩🤩👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✅✅✅🎉

This is the local bar near my workplace and we go here whenev6we have an occasion to celebrate 🍾
This is a great place for everyone and you can bring your family here and there are kid options and they even have a room with normal tables chairs and booths
I had a chicken party yesterday and it was fantastic and an OJ on the rocks. 🧊
There Best dishes are burgers steak sandwiches as mentioned before parmigiana dishes
Great variety you will never be bored.
Bring on the next occasion
We will be back.

The Grand Central has a buzzing atmosphere and it is a great place to visit. The staff are super quick and very friendly. It is tricky to find a place to sit if no booking was made but wander through the various rooms or have a look outside. The salt and pepper calamari is recommended. The jalapeño poppers are massive but needs a kick. It is very conveniently located at Central station. Make sure to at least have a pint or schooner!

The battle of lunch steak special in Brisbane CBD.
The fourth candidate of 10 places.
Available Mon-Fri.
$17 with chips and salad and your choice of sauce.
200g rump.
I think there were 5 choices of sauce. Diane, mushroom, pepper, maybe bearnaise and one more. I forgot....
The steak came in 17min.
Ordered medium, came medium.
It was a quality meat but didn't have any fat part.
No discount on drink with your steak.
Hot and crunchy chips, ordinary salad, mushroom sauce was quite salty.
Attentive service, fantastic atmosphere and great vibe.

Stumbled upon this place and totally lucked out. Great pub atmosphere with tons of beer on tap and knowledgeable staff. Meza plate was great, falafel was particularly good. Nachos were a solid 4.5 out of 5, and the tofu poke bowl was absolutely a 5 out of 5. A great mix of flavors with lots of avocado!! We'll be back!!

Stopped into the Grand Central for dinner tonight the service was fantastic very friendly staff. The hotel itself is very beautiful, clean & tidy.
Drinks and meals were reasonably priced, the meals were very well presented however the quality of the meals wasn’t real good. Pizza was oily & a hard base, not many toppings. The carbonara had a thick cream cheese like sauce that was virtually flavourless. You could tell the meatball entree & falafels had been frozen prior be the ‘avocado dip’ was definitely out of a tube.
Would return for drinks but not a meal.

Stopped in on a Wednesday night for a drink with friends and we were lucky enough to be greeted and looked after by Shane. Shane was an awesome bar tender, friendly, funny and professional. An absolute asset to Grand Central.

Staff (main lady) accommodating and awesome, food was great, not to small not too big, steak cooked great.

Situated just a few steps from Sofitel Hotel Brisbane. Good food at a resalable price . Friendly staff, clean bar area with sports tv at both ends showing various sports. Free music machine choose your song play for free. Bit noisy when it gets going. Went twice for dinner so gotta be ok.

Our medium steaks were like leather, staff did not care at all, after advising staff we were unhappy she took our plates and told the kitchen, we could the see them all talking about us but zero solution offered. Chips were good though.

Ordered a steak. Another person at our table also ordered a steak this was paid for seperately. That individual decided they were taking too long and asked for their money back and cancelled his order keeping in mind this was a seperate order to mine. They decided to cancel my order aswell and refund my money to this other person. After another 20 mins i sat around waiting and approached them asking where my steak was they advised they cancelled it and gave my money to someone else.

Nice venue with great food options along with gaming area and tab facilities.
Italian style woodfired pizza was exceptional.
Convenient location below central station and across from Adina apartments. I'll definitely be back next time in Brisbane

Lovely pub with great atmosphere. They have daily changing dining offers, which make for very reasonable pricing for great value menu items. Good selection of beers on tap

Initially we attempted to visit Friday afternoon but it was sooo busy. Mainly suits but as it was Remembrance Day I suspect that also accounted for the very large crowd.
So came back Saturday night for dinner. Drinks were very reasonable at around $9/pint. Food was also very reasonable with the large schnitzels $19 each for the classic and $24 for the excellent Mexican.
Some excellent specials on other days. Wished we'd visited on Thursday to take advantage of the $10 burgers.

Im used to Railway pubs being run down, over priced, a bit dirty and a place you use because you have to. This is not the case here. I turned up for the $17 steak night and it was great. Fast service, nice staff, plenty of room out the side with big TVs and a great selection on beers.
Was stuck for a place to go and glad I went here.

I love coming here, it's my Brisbane go too..food is great, staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Young, old, executives, workers.. it's the place to be. I had a tough week this week, so came up here from Surfers to cheer myself up..thanks GCH you are my 🌝 place ❤

I always come here when in town for a beer and a feed but I won't after tonight. Firstly staff were to busy dancing behind bar than being attentive to customers so I had to wave to get their attention.
I then asked the duty manager to please replace the sailing show with the footy show as no one was interested and he refused obviously customer service means nothing.
He insisted F1 would commence soon which it did not and I said I don't care for F1 and again he refused.
What a joke...I finished my meal already ordered unfortunately as otherwise I'd have left immediately and 1 beer instead of spending more money which was what would have happened.
Lost this customer for good for being a clown and not listening to the customer.
Really poor!

Great spot for lunch, and the waitress is amazing the way she zooms around the place, delivering food and clearing tables.

Great pub located smack bang on top of the Central Business District in Brisbane. Large venue with a surprisingly large amount of space and a large menu to choose a very decent pub lunch from. The seating is very varied across all of the spaces and plenty of choices for all to get comfy. Pick the right spot and you can see the trains 🚃 as they pass through the station

Great place for a knock off beer. Sat on the balcony out the front and people/car watched. Caught a Mclaren, some nice Beemers, Porches, Masseratis and a bunch of locals and tourists alike.
Have been told the food is great but did not eat on this occasion.

Been back once a week over the last 3 weeks, normally get the steak which is great, this week the Garlic & Chilli Prawns which was delicious although the chilli had no heat, still would get it again.

Going off the exterior, I wasn't expecting too much when I stopped in here for lunch but I was very pleasantly surprised. The place was very clean and well decorated, I love all the wood accents. The food was well priced, arrived quickly and was excellent. Staff were friendly. 100% would return.

Ate here twice in the last week. Service was good place was pretty noisy. Food quality has seriously declined. Fish and Chip - rather traditional - was seriously overcooked and fish was dry and tough. Largely inedible. Second meals were Rump Steak. Reasonably presented but steak was exceedingly sinewy and tough as boot leather. My dogs would have struggled with this - will not return for a meal - recommend that you select another option.

As interstate visitors we stumbled upon Grand Central by accident ...and on Thursday nights they do burgers for $10 ....we chose the Grand Burger of beef ....what a bargain .Beautiful taste , cooked just pink, a generous size and included bacon and onion rings. Outstanding value . A good selection of beers on tap .Great for a quick pit stop and as it's part of Central Station the locals appear to flock there .

Amazing food! Great spot to have a cold one with mates. Surprisingly food was tasty and menu was innovative. They have new specials everyday. I ordered pie, it was accompanied by mashed potatoes, gravy, fried onions and peas!

After a second try with the grand parmigiana, it was yet again served stone cold and the cheese wasn't melted and golden. I had it once before and loved it so i thought it was my go back to place, first time I had it was great.
Both times after the best one were served on a Monday lunch time so won't be returning for lunch again. I did actually complain this time and did get a refund but i do wonder how many others don't mention a cold meal.
Please get a new chef
