We were impressed with the quality of the meals. Prawn pizza was fantastic! Only downside was no soy milk for coffee but that is just me wanting a coffee hit on the Sunday of a long weekend. We were in a pub so a good beer and wine was really the best option....

We have been there twice in two weeks for lunch as visitors to the area and the staff have been extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. The decor is open and spacious with inside and street dining available. The menu selection covers snacks to full meals at reasonable prices. We would highly recommend as a lunchtime stop.

Way to expensive & very small portion, if I went somewhere else they would have charged that size for a kids meal, not to mention it didn’t taste good, and there was a mess up with our orders & hair in our food!!
Very very disappointing, strongly do not recommend, if I could give 0 stars I would.

Was in the gaming room, went out for a smoke and came back to a loud group of customers on my machine. I was gone 5 minutes max! Bar staff done nothing, said to tell shift manager but the shift manager sat outside on her phone and had a vape and said nothing. Loud customers were already warned x3 for being disruptive while I was there, they were yelling obscenities at me because I took more than 3 minutes. (I’m from out of town so didn’t know a 3 minute time limit applies). 3 minutes isn’t even enough time to go to the toilet.
Very disappointing that’s how out of towner are treated. Won’t be in a hurry to go back

Visit fairy often and always satisfied with foodwe and service.went again today to give a 2nd chance to new kitchen . It was atrocious chicken salad poor and my Seafood crepe was very poor with no identifiable seafood in it.

Visited this TAB on a Saturday. Ordered food and paid. Then the waiter approached us and said the food which we ordered has finished. Then we ordered steak for both. Food was not taste good. However the place has plenty of room and good ambience.

Usually a great spot to eat, sadly our experience didn't match their usual standards. Brian behind the counter was friendly as usual , two lamb frys and a bowl of chips were ordered, plus a pasta dish. The pasta dish was hot but sadly, the chips and the two lamb frys were cold. Very disappointing.

This pub has changed hands in the last 2 months. The origjnal chef has now gone as they the pub didnt want to lease out the kichen again. So so dissapointed. The food quality/preparation and service has just plummented. Extremely greasy and never have I left the majority of the food on my plate. Stay clear. Expensive when you dont eat it

The only remaing pub on Grey St, the grand looks vastly different than I remember. The meals are a few notches above the usual pub grub standard, not gastro pub level put pretty damn decent. The steak was very nice and the fish and chips looked great.

The meals here are awesome, the desserts are even better! I had the seafood crepe today and it was mouth watering! The service was great, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely be going back!

The food was great but very disappointing that the young girl who served our food managed to drop the plate and the food on the table. She could not get away fast enough. Brought it to the attention of management whose response was to send the poor girl back to us to “pick up the mess”. Not her fault. Management need to teach their staff accordingly

Terrible meal, it took 1.5 hours for the meal to come out, only being half serves of Parmis which were soggy, gravy was like water and when asked why the parmi were half sized simply got it’s a lunch special, where it is not specified that it is half serves. Definitely won’t be coming back at all.

Sat in the bar. Excellent daily specials and complimentary mini pies and snacks brought to table as well. Tasty food and drink- and lot of options. TVs for dog and horse races. Friendly crowd.

Please be careful dining here if you are someone who needs a gluten free option.
There are a few GF options on the menu but upon further inspection only the steak was actually gluten free, so please be careful.

Place was clean. Staff were friendly. Meal was huge! I didn’t eat it all.
They had a kids play area also.

Our family shared a meal here for our fathers wake in May. The hotel staff were friendly and the food was fantastic. However one of our family members is in a wheelchair and went to use the bathroom only to discover they have no wheelchair accessible toilets!!! How is this possible that a hotel can get council approval when they have no wheelchair accessible toilets? A staff member told him to go down the back carpark to use the public toilets!!! Seriously!!! Absolutely disgrace.

Ordered oysters kilpatrick and the tiger prawns and scallop pasta. Oysters came out first (even though i asked for them to come with main). I'm glad they did though, because they were absolutely disgusting. Seemed like shredded ham on top and microwaved to finish. I refunded the lot because i didn't trust the rest after that.
Ordered a chicken parmi to be safe after that and it was pretty good, albiet very tight with the sides.
I did notice that not a single person at our table; nor the one next us received our meals at the same time. People had finished meals whilst others still waited. Pretty bad experience all round and not cheap prices.

Nice meals and cool tasty drinks.The area is very clean and tidy , there menue is simple but still a nice choice and variety .We can dine in and look at the world go by.
Nearly every visit we have a nice sit down meal and drinks .
We will call again sometime.

Lunch at this hotel. Good range on offer, as well as lunch specials. Our food arrived in good time, was well presented and there wasore than ample on each plate. We were not hassled to leave when we had finished eating. Not overly expensive for the quantity and quality of the meals.

I recommend you don’t get the seafood here the calamari was over cooked it was like trying to eat a zip tie (hard plastic) half the lights didn’t work,half the fridges were off line and no mid strength beer on tap my 2 guests said there meals were ok not good.

Great meals and they had guineas. Had steak 3 nights in a row and were great everytime. Should use names on order when part of a large group to avoid confusion when delivering. Pla e was clean and tide, staff were good as was the service

Worst parmy we've ever had in our lives and we've had a few
Lunch special wasn't a special at all .... so tiny
It was a very very small schnitzel and obviously cut in half, you could see clearly the straight knife cut then served up as two plates to us with very few chips and a salad with no dressing
So disappointed!!!
And on top of that even though we were ordering at 1:30pm before a 2pm kitchen close they still had to check if they were even going to serve us at all because they wanted to shut the kitchen

Always dine at the Central when I come home, been there twice in the last 2 weeks and went tonight but never again. Not a busy night and 7 of us ordered food at 7 pm. 2 chicken schnitzels came out shortly afterwards, then 3 steaks came out half an hour or so later, 2 of which were wrong. They were sent back and the "proper" meals came out. Steaks were cold and the meals were still wrong. $42 for the meal and couldn't get it right. The last 2 meals came out about another 40 minutes later and they were wrong also but ate them anyway as it was nearly 9pm. Went to the bar to order some drinks. Twice the attendant forgot the beer with both orders on 2 separate occasions. Been frequenting this pub off and on for 45 years. Worst service I've ever had there.

A cold wet night for two Queenslanders, but a roaring fire a glass of Guiness Bitters, a Squealing Pig Sav blanc and a large plate of Rosemary Lamb cutlets made up for it all.
