Wife and i had lunch at the Grand Hotel yesterday, i had a burger, wife had Thai salad.
Food was very good, reasonably priced and a big portion.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Next time we go through Biggenden we will stop in again.

What a great pub. Food and beer is great , but more importantly Stuey and Judd are the awesome, they made the atmosphere most pleasurable and absolutely great service. The Grand Hotel was by far the best hotel on my travels and so glad I was passing through Biggenden ...and a bonus is good local craft beer on tap.

What a gem of place. True outback Queensland hospitality. Stuart greeted us with friendly smile. Our dog was also greeted and very privileged to be able to dine with us at the table inside, as the weather was cool in the beer garden. The meals awesome. Steak cooked to perfection and chips fresh and hot. Dessert was fantastic. 😋 Sticking date pudding with icecream.
The Grand Hotel is definite must visit for its hospitality and true value 👌

We went there on Sunday for lunch. Staff were awesome, very friendly. We had the steaks which were very tasty, friends burgers were great, rissoles great, fish and chips delicious, nachos so-so. Great place to stop 🙂

We only stopped here for lunch, definitely a friendly country pub !
Food was tasty, my wife's chicken parmigiana was huge, my garlic prawns was excellent but not a big meal, so a trip to the cake shop just up the road filled the gap.
Not a big turnover as this is a small country town, but the food was fresh and well cooked.

Visiting Biggenden, for a couple of days, on our travels. A lovely little country town.
Wednesday: “let’s slip to the Royal for dinner?”
“Ok”
Well, hells bells!
This pub, has not only got a great atmosphere when you enter the bar, but the locals are friendly, the bar staff , and especially the publican, are absolute gold.
Last note: THE FOOD! OMG 🤤🤤

Very friendly service, decent food. It does take a while for food to come out, so best to check first how long it will be if you're in a hurry. Nice beer garden out the back, clean, and the drinks are icy cold.

Upbeat and great atmosphere, all staff are friendly and happy to be of service. Wonderful environment for people to hang out in, bring along groups of friends and family and kids have a nice and relaxed space to be comfortable in. Great range of foods and drinks on the new menu and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this place as a local and for travelers passing through the area.

The hospitality was second to none. Really honest, friendly people running the show that went out of their was to make sure I was comfortable. My dinner from the resturant was super tasty. Place is clean and tidy and loaded with character. Great value for money.

The Grand Hotel was a great stop at the end of a 4 night motorcycle camping trip. Danny was extremely accommodating even providing a shed for secure overnight parking. Rooms were very basic but did the right job at a reasonable price amd bathroom facilities were good. Dinner was good and at all the times the service was exceptional.

Super friendly staff/owners and customers.
The beer was cold and the local drop worth trying.
If you like garlic then have the garlic prawns.

Stayed a night, very friendly staff who are always up for a chat or joke. The meals were well sized and the chips were stellar! 2 beers from Your Mates Brewing on tap which is always a nice change from xxxx. Rooms and facilities were clean, good hot water pressure. Beds almost too soft for my rubbish back haha!
Would stay again.

Staff extremely
friendly and accommodating. Chiefs food DELICIOUS, couldn't fault it.
Mushroom sauce best I've ever had. Accommodation is clean and tidy. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to recommend and stay again 😀

My wife and I had the Barramundi on Saturday 28 August 21 for lunch. 2 times now after only 3 days we have wished we could sit down to the same meal again. The Barra was perfectly cooked and the tartar sauce - well Wendy would love the recipe or brand. Spoke to the Chef before we ate - said he had sourced the fish fresh the day before from Bundaberg. Motorcycle club overnight stay, nice, original deco 40s pub, well kept and good rooms, had 2 meals there which were fantastic, the beef curry was 1st class. Outdoor, indoor or air conditioned dining areas, No pokies which is teriffic, good bar and very good staff . Best country pub for miles.

Made the mistake of giving this place another chance... Never again. Same scenario as 2yrs ago!
After complaining to the kitchen finally got our meal after waiting well over an hour. Everyone else in the restaurant hadn't been served either!
They seem to favour " takeaways for the locals" over the restaurant guests as there were loads of them going out the door.
Also the bar lady was just as arrogant and unfriendly as 2 yrs ago.
Also to add to the insult the food was disgusting!

Loooved this pub what a character Stuart was...you must stop in here for a fun fun time plus the food is fantastic! Cheffy lovely makes the most melt in your mouth chocolate chip biscuits also. Let Stuart show you his funny ways like 2 different shoes. He walked around the world until he was 30 so he has quite a few stories up his sleeve...like hanging out with train robber Ronald Biggs in Rio ! What the @#$Then there's the drinking gang I had a ball and laughed and joked with the guys you couldn't meet nicer people in any other town...do yourself a favour and go for lunch dinner or drinkies you will love this gorgeous pub

Friendly town, friendly venue. Owner Stu introduced himself to us and displayed an obvious knack at getting along with all types. First time visitors, for lunch having read some darned good reviews. Reasonable wait time. Friendly cook delivered well presented food to the table. Serves not as massive as we'd expected based on the reviews, but hoooooboy - the BEST pub food we've had for ages ... and we're connoisseurs!! Salads fresh with to die for dressing, sirloin tender and juicy, sauce yumm, schnitty beautifully cooked. Pretty good local ginger beer on tap too. Definitely be back to this place ...

Friendliest and most accommodating pub I’ve been to in a long time. Meals top shelf. Publican even carried our drinks out to Beer garden as I couldn’t carry them all.

Customer service from bar staff was a delight. The chef who brought our food out was a legend. The chicken burger and steak burger were both delicious!! Definitely recommend popping in for a bite or drink.

10 stars from me!! We had a table of 12 booked for lunch mid-week at short notice after attending a funeral in Biggenden. The owner and staff were ALL brilliant and incredibly organised. It turned out that 23 of us ended up there and all our food from steaks, fish, chicken and even the burgers and chips were the absolute best in the business, cooked to perfection and delivered promptly. This is all from a small country pub in Biggenden!! The owner definitely knows what he is doing and his chef is brilliant. This place is definitely on our stop over list.
