What a pleasant surprise. We dropped in for a beer while on our walk and ended up staying for dinner more beers and wine. The main bar is set up really well allows you to sit at a table but be next to the bar. Bar staff are incredible. They pour beers old style correctly with a decent head. I got stuck into the reds and I’m a snobby red drinker but I wanted to stay for another. Then out came out meals. Delicious. I had the pasta prawns cream garlic mix. Hubs had roast turkey. Both were of a high standard. I would recommend this pub for drinks and food. I look forward to returning in the winter to sit in front of the wood fire eating wood fire cooked pizzas.

Went for lunch. Can't comment on rooms. Good food. Ordered at the register. No diet drinks. Air-conditioned. Quite full bistro.

We had dinner here on Friday and Saturday night. The food was very nice. Lovely pub food. My wife had the rump steak, and she said it was cooked to perfection. Medium, just the way she likes it. So tender and tasty. Would eat here anytime we are travelling back through Crows Nest.

We had a lovely lunch today at a awesome country pub.
We had chicken parmigianas with hot chips and vegetables, with cheesy garlic bread.

We decided to have dinner at the hotel to support a local business, and what a mistake that was.
We have had meals all around Australia and what we had here was by far the WORST meal we have had.
We decided to go with the specials board and opted for the roast pork & veg, the pork was obviously pre cooked and re heated & the vegetables were much the same.
Next up was the pasta marinara which upon presentation looked like a bowl of mush, the seafood tasted awful & I have never know a pasta marinara to be spicy.
Upon this experience, I would certainly not recommend having a meal here.

We came for a Sunday lunch, very busy and possibly a hour wait. We were warned. But not an hour and worth the wait. Roast beef was really great. Great food and atmosphere. Staff were great and hard working..! Well done....

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Grand Old Crow Pub and what a change.
It has undergone a huge renovation. New carpets, new beds, new blinds and top quality linen and pillows. Everything is freshly painted. The A/C works great!. There is a small kitchen and common area as well.
We stayed in Room 3 and it was very quiet. There is no noise from the bar downstairs at all. The bed was really comfortable and had awesome pillows
Tasteful classic style decor reflecting the history of the hotel remains and it made our stay a real pleasure. It's also in walking distance of local amenities.
Great country pub and really good value.
Highly recommended!

The hotel may look old, and the rooms may be small with just the basics. But they are clean and bed's comfortable with clean white linen. You have to share the toilet and shower, but they are very clean. Service was great friendly. The food was excellent.

Stopped in for a meal and drink on a Thursday evening, a good friendly atmosphere in both the bar and the bistro. Reasonable bar prices and good selection as well. The locals are very funny and friendly. The bistro had a good selection plus each week night has a meal special. We had steak for $15 which was bargain. The meal was good, meat tender and we weren't the only people taking advantage of this meal.

Quality feed for lunch - Ribs and Wings special, and Schnitzel Burger and Chips plus nice cold cans of Alcoholic Ginger Beer (pity they don't have it on tap). Quick friendly service and pleasant bistro dining area. Will be back.

I went here with a client, she couldn't stop raving how delicious her roast beef lunch meal was... an amazing atmosphere and a grand old Qld pub.

I love the Grand Old Crow. Service is usually pretty good, beer is cold, meals reasonably priced and consistently good and a friendly atmosphere no matter where you sit. Todays experience was a disappointment. Sat down to eat right on 12 lunch time. The hot chips were quite frankly terrible, old oil (I think) and overcooked. Same overcooked taste on the Chicken Schnitty....the Bangers and Mash that we had raved about to our visiting friends did not live up to normal expectations (average as opposed to very good) so all in all a pretty disappointing visit today.

If you want to have a great meal, don’t go past the Grand Old Crow Hotel at Crows Nest. 48 people descended onto the premises today ( pre booked) and everything was organised to a Tee. The room had been warm with lovely heating to make it cosy, as it was a freezing cold day. Once our orders were taken Chef went into action as no one ordered the same meals, it was across the board with Seniors Meals, Special of the Day and from the extensive menu.
The meals were delicious and very generous, there was no skipping with portions.
Staff were very courteous, polite, helpful and efficient.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Grand Old Crow Hotel.
Thank you to all the staff plus Chef, you did a great job.

Had dinner there on Sunday 7 January great service and friendly staff.
The steak sandwich was good.
The Buffalo Wings and salad were SMOOTHERED IN WAY TO MUCH CHILLI SAUCE.
IT WAS NOT AN ENJOYABLE MEAL AT ALL. Maybe use Ramekins.

Had a meal in the bistro. Very ordinary, frozen soggy vegetables. Oily chips. Rubbery fish. Accosted by a hoard of flies whilst trying to eat. Had to replace our drink because fly dive bombed into the glass. Response..oh dear that's no good...$9 for a new drink....customer service....I don't think so 😥

Great place for a function. Celebrated my 40th birthday there with about 40 guests and it was just perfect.

Enjoyed two delicious chicken parmigiana with seafood garlic topping. Chips very tasty and salad fresh. $20 each very good value. Staff friendly. This is our second visit this week. 2 senior meals $15 each. Rissoles mash & veggies. Roast of the day with roast and steamed veggies. Large servings.

Drove from Brisbane. For a country pub hotel the place exceeded all expectations. This was our 2nd visit and confirmed our decision to visit again. Let me say the meal was perfect, ample and presented well. Surroundings were nice however I could not find a disabled toilet to access. 9 good points, 1 bad point. Perhaps I missed the disabled toilet.

Dining area always clean and tidy, amenities well maintained. Have dined in many times and found the service and food to be excellent.
Staff are very friendly, polite and show respect to all their customers.
Recommend this for a enjoyable meal or just a quick drink at the bar.

Delicious meals were had by all the family. I loved the hamburger chips and salad. Perfect. Hubby had the roast lamb meal said it was 👍. Will be back for another meal when visiting the town. Thanks for the great service.

Best Roast Beef Sunday lunch I’ve had in years . Perfect roast with delicious vegetables. Half the price of Brisbane pubs and twice as good. Highly recommend !

Best pub food we've had for quite sometime!
Prices good, great flavours, and Awesome desert!!
Definately worth the stop if your here or passing through.
We came for lunch, had schnitzel & veg with the best mushroom gravy I've ever personally had, fish and chips with salad also had chocolate pudding with cream and ice
cream, and pavlova with berry compot and cream and ice cream. OMG!!!Will def be back!!

A nice pub with friendly staff. Stopped here for a counter lunch. I had a steak sandwich, meat was tender the filling was nice, BUT the bread had been toasted on the grill and was burnt, spoiled a lovely sandwich which left a burnt bread after taste.

A bit of a let down... again.
We ordered pizza and children's cheese burger and chips. For starters... the attitude of the lady who served us was shocking and she shouldn't be in hospitality. Even to the point of rolling her eyes when we ordered a child's plate. We're paying for it- we should be able to order what we like.
We asked for the pizza to be in a take away container and she replied 'don't have any'... no smile, nothing.
The cheese burger and chips was great and the pizza tasteful- just very small for the price (the meat you see in comparison is a type of kabana- still nice flavour though)
In the end, a few beers and take away as well- over $85 spent and I don't think we'll go back. Just the service was off putting
