What a great pub, beautiful inside and out. Fantastic friendly staff, found me some wonderful Stout Beers, last but not least the kitchen and staff, wonderful food and great service. Cannot recommend this pub enough, it’s fabulous.

We stayed one night at the Grand Terminus hotel in Bairnsdale check in & out was a breeze. The lady who checked us in was very friendly & nice and informed us about the koala on the island across the river & how to catch the car ferry to see them. The rooms were spotless,bed comfortable, & I must say the shower & bathroom looked wonderful and worked well. We were asked if we wanted to make a reservation in the bistro thank heavens we did for a Monday the bistro was packed. We ordered the meals & in no time the meals were on the table, delicious pub food. ( See the photos ) I would definitely return for both the accommodation & the bistro.|

Went for a few beers and a meal. The pub is quite nice inside. Staff were super friendly, beer was cold and the food was great. I had the lamb salad which was very tasty and large. Could not finish it all. Would definitely return, even if it was just for a beer or two.

We just had dinner here. What a great meal. Local producers, great service, very good value for money as well.
The staff serving were so polite and really did the hotel proud.

Visited the Term on a mid week night, it seemed to be the popular venue with local patrons enjoying a meal and beer after work. Staff were great and very attentive, the menu had a variety of options beyond the pub classics. Cheaper meal prices with a limited selection in the public bar. Will come back again next time I’m in Bairnsdale.

Very clean Rooms the Bistro meals were great!... But quite expensive for a Pub meal!!! plenty of parking , b/ut make sure you book ahead. cheers Winston.

Traditional pub which has retained its original features and historical appearance, and has been lovingly maintained over the years. I was very pleasantly surprised by the menu, which had the usual pub staples but also introduced a few modern takes on the classics and wasn’t afraid to try something new (the Buddha bowl was particularly tasty and creatively designed). The drinks menu is fairly basic but the bartenders know what they’re doing and can deliver good-quality cocktails. Service is always efficient and friendly, though sometimes you feel a little rushed as staff can and will hurry you along if it’s a busy night.

This is the place I always try to come visit whenever I am in Bairnsdale.
The food here is absolutely perfect without exaggerating.
I have eaten here multiple times and each time received amazing service and perfectly cooked food featuring local ingredients and a great variety of dishes to choose from.
Tonight I had the pleasure of eating the 500grm dry aged T-bone steak with creamy mash and local greens.
You can tell from my review and video I was extremely satisfied.
They also have an online booking system which I used for the first time and is great for people like myself who don't want to miss the opportunity to come eat here as it can get fully booked out even on weeknights.

Stayed here for a night with my partner. Ate at the restaurant, drank in the bar and played in the gaming room. Wonderful experience all around - very glad we came here.

Rooms have been tastefully renovated. New iron, ironing board, kettle, tv, mini fridge all working well. Didn't get noise from bar below.

Old style pub that is very atmospheric. Excellent food, booking is recommended for the bistro. Food also available in the bar. Calamari was great. Very popular with locals.

I didn’t stay here, but I ate and drank here. Very clean, fantastic service and the food is cracking! We had the dry aged steak and the gnocchi ragout brilliant! well done, great selection of drinks, great pub!

Had dinner with a large group of family and friends. Wow! Food was beautiful hot, service was excellent, fast and friendly, definitely will return.

Great service great food! we had to take a doggy bag home for Rover.. next time we'll order half serve.. Was disappointed no signs on their doors to say into here bistro enter here bar no ramp or railing for the disabled or wheelchairs...

Great historic hotel with a traditional Australian Restaurant and a great pub and bar . Nice please where you will feel well .

Food was fantastic and great service coming from Melbourne it is a pleasure to have meals that taste really great. I had the chicken Kiev and this is not normally on pub menus we will be heading to this place next time we are in town

Fantastic Hotel, the owners have done a perfect renovation job retaining old world charm while giving all modern comforts.
The bistro is also great, friendly service and fabulous meals.

Best Chicken Parma I’ve ever had! Plus the service is awesome and friendly (on New Year’s Day).
Fast service, food comes out quick. Well worth a visit.

As a local, we eat here quite regularly. The Terminus always serves great food but what really stands out as well is the great service! When every thing else is shut the Terminus seems to be always open and so is often out ‘go to’ when we feel like a meal out.
