We popped in on a road trip to Sydney and the food was so good. Real country home cooked food. My kids also loved the pool table. Such a great country vibe in a beautiful old pup. Loved it!

We had a lovely meal. I thoroughly enjoyed my roast, which l hadn't had for quite some time being in a caravan with no oven. The staff were lovely.

We enjoyed lunch at the hotel's bistro/coffee shop. The meals were well presented and delicious. I was able to order a locally brewed beer with lunch which was really good. I would definitely recommend and return.

Today I called in to this magnificent looking pub and was greeted by a lovely bar lady with a smile and nice welcome, it's always the first impressions that count, I was offered recommendations on drinks and I was easily able to order a Mexican chicken burger, with a chirpy "great choice!" And will go well with the pale ale you chose! I wandered the old pub admiring the decor, chandeliers, the painting over the fireplace until I finally settled near the stag head on the wall and blazing wood fire, yes it was a tad chilly outside but this pub warmed the coffers, I heard the bar lady talking to the people behind me and she noticed me and let me know mine was on its way. Well I gotta say this was a Mexican chicken burger I wasn't expecting! Wow, is all I can say! Definitely a meal to share with another, a mind blowing burger that just had so many layers with a not too spicy creamy sauce. The side of chips were just divine and was way too much for 1 person. Cost of Mexican burger and chips was $24 and my beer $8.50, definitely a 10 out 10 for service, food, and atmosphere.

This is straight up a BANGER of a restaurant, if you're a local or a blow in, you're going to want to come here. The place has an authentic relaxed country pub meets classy restaurant vibe. The service was 5 stars, with the waiters and bartenders going above and beyond with service and the Chef's rustling up some great pub feeds. There is no doubt in my mind I'll be back to Glen Innes with a fist full of sapphires and a belly full of dinner and drinks from the Great Central Hotel. See you later xxz

The venue was beautifully renovated to keep with the Scottish theme of the town. The room was modest, comfortable and clean. The food was great.

Simply country pub. The food, service and patrons are so country, but that's a good thing. Loved my meal.

Roast night and it was very tasty on a cool winter night. Lovely traditional pub with wood heating and great personal service. Recommended.

Lovely old building. Owner and staff make an effort. If you want the Hilton as the manager said go somewhere else lol. It's a lovely old building. We loved it and perfect at the price you pay. I can't fault the staff. Clean and full of knick nacks from the past. Great dining just downstairs and a Pub just over the road. Is it faultless no but remember its an old building near 200yrs old... but better than we expected. They were even polite when I set the fire alarm off burning the toast at 5am lol. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Hugable manager Eileen and Nicole the assistant. Down to earth people. Dogs allowed. We didn't complain.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Great Central Hotel in Glen Innes for the second time, and it was a remarkable experience. I ordered the crispy skinned salmon in creamy garlic sauce, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The first time I tried it, I thought it was too good to be true, but last night, during my second visit, my taste buds were in for a delightful explosion. Drew, the chef, is truly amazing at his craft. The dish was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were exceptional. I also want to commend Suga, Charlie, and the rest of the staff for providing top-notch service. The quality of the food, the cocktails, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant make it a must-visit spot in Glen Innes. I highly recommend Great Central Hotel for a memorable dining experience.

I'm always so grateful (especially in small towns) to find a vegetarian option on the menu. The corn and zucchini fritters here did not disappoint!! I ordered them with all the extras (smashed avo & egg) and they were so filling I had to take away my leftovers. I also had a chocolate frappe, and would recommend them to anyone thirsty on a hot day.

Hands down, the best pub Roast I have ever had in my life. I can't even begin to describe it. I almost ordered it again straight after finishing it. Compliments to the chef!! The atmosphere was chill. Sugar was so warm and inviting. Recommend anyone travelling through this great little town stop for a pub meal.. you won't regret it.

Great pub. Nice and warm on a cold night. Wait staff were fabulous, going above and beyond to rectify a mistake that could have happened anywhere. Food is decent pub fare, good value for money. Shout out to Keenan, the awesome waiter 😊

Great food. We had an eggplant parmigiana and a chicken, mango soba salad and they were both freshly made and delicious. Very generous serves too. It’s worth visiting for the beautifully restored heritage building anyway.

Grab a room at the Central if you’re coming through Glen Innes. We had the best night chatting with locals and rock star staff. The lamb was amazing but and soup might have been better, could have charged double and we’d still rave about it. Bed was one of the best nights sleep of the trip. Definitely going to make our way back one day!

Excellent place for all ages. Family friendly, great food and very welcoming. I recommend this place for everyone because there is no judgement at all and everyone is treated with respect, the way people deserve to be. Accommodation is great, very comfy and quiet with a touch of modern age to an old classic hotel. Excellent to see a local business growing so diverse. Highly recommend coming to stay, you won't be disappointed.

Dropped in for a quick dinner. Good variety of meals, vegetarian options being reasonably priced. Fast efficient service even on a Saturday night. This is our second visit and we’ll worth the stopover.

Beautiful country pub. The food was lovely, and the portions were good. The staff are nice too. We went there for lunch, and it wasn't too busy. I loved the cheese garlic bread and the steak with mushroom sauce. If you have young kids, order pink lemonade for them. Our kids loved it! 😄 Oh! It's very clean and well maintained. There's no sticky floor or tables, and the toilets are clean too.

Awesome Country Pub! Basic but lovely rooms, ample amenities and beautifully decorated. Tony was a very welcoming host to 3 Bikers with no booking and storms to dodge, and again 4 days later on our return trip. Great food in the bar, fancier in the restaurant if you prefer, just a lovely place to stay. Right in the middle of town too.

Absolutely fabulous!! Got an array of dishes and they all hit the spot. Plates were licked clean! Staff were lovely, uber accomodating. Thanks from some city slickers and some locals who will most definitely be back.
