You can’t go past the lovely view, and it is a nice big establishment. The meals are what you would expect for a club, over priced, no healthy options and quite boring/lacking flavour. I was sad to see the Greek salad leave the menu. Overall it does have a good atmosphere though.

We were taken to the club by friends for lunch. Professional staff. Good choice of meals at fair prices. The fare was very nice and well presented.

We've come a few times, mostly for the Tuesday night specials (Kids eat free aka order 1 main, get 1 kids meal free), which are great for families, as you can tell from the crowd.
Can't beat the value as you get a free drink and soft serve (so creamy and rich!) with the kids meal too!
Food quality isn't anything to rave about but definitely fills you up.
The clean and tidy environment plus the lovely view out the window are extra bonuses that keep us coming back.

We three of us came for early dinner. Lovely setup and great service from the staff. We ordered two Lamb Shanks ($35) and a noodle dish.
The lamb shanks were served in a small dish, like kids size dish or you may call it desert dish.
The lamb shanks looked like a large chicken thigh in terms of the meat content. No sides such as vegetables or whatever. For $35 that was disappointing for the two Hungry Jacks. . .😩

Went to steak night for my husdands birthday. Sorry to say that steak was tough dry and had no flavour, had not been seasoned. Asked for med rare and yes that's how it came. Recently dined at a coastal club again steak night and it was the best steak we had ever eaten. Think you need to change your supplier and train your chefs. 😭

This course is in my Top 3 for Canberra. Challenging with water on alot of the holes. Great fairways & the greens are true.
The 19th Hole is a fantastic View & Cold Beers, plus a great meal if you wish.

Our meal was very nice.Steak was cooked as ordered and the dining room was very comfortable. More choice on the menu would have resulted in 5 stars.

Our favourite club. Recently we had two fantastic nights there, four days apart. My son's 18th birthday and father's day. We have been coming for many years and seen great changes and updates to the dining room. The food was always great and seems to get better. The staff are always fantastic and friendly. Shout out to the restaurant manager, Yad, who is always lovely and helpful. His lovely professional attitude creates an amazing culture down through all the restaurant staff.

Ordered prawn pizza. The base was thin and crispy, with 2/3 only layered with very little garlic spread, less than 10 prawns, hardly any cheese, and burned, maybe four pieces of salad tomato pieces. That's it.

Ordered a thai noodle salad with chicken for dinner. Couldn't eat it. It was dry and tasteless. Could barely find the sauce!! Terrible. My husband ordered the barramundi.It was barely warm! Wont be back there for a meal!!!👎👎

Lunch today. 2 of us. Meals arrived about 20 minutes apart, after prompting. Fried fish was crispy dark batter which tasted of crispy dark batter and nothing else. Cold chips. Salad was good. My mate enjoyed his vegan burger ( not sure which part of the vegan is used).
Drinks ordered and ordered repeated. Barman corrected on order. Both drinks wrong. Conversation was good

I will no longer be attending your club in the near future. I had a table of 8 and bought drinks and food. Costing me $300. Thought nothing of it until I read my bill where one of my friends had a Porterhouse steak 300mg with salad and chips and the cost $35 dollars. His salad was pathetic and not fresh. Other prices were not reasonable and the drinks were expensive. I will not be attending the Lakes until prices are reduced. Today I bought 2 porterhouse steaks at Woolworths for $14 and they were 400mg and thicker. It is a disgrace that your charges were extreme to say the least. I realise you have staff to pay and other factors but other clubs in Gungahlin have a more reasonable charge.
I had the Ceaser Salad that was reasonable price but no good. Had it with chicken and only 4-5 pieces of chicken in it.
With drinks it which were expensive it cost me around $300 for the night food being 222.80

I was very impressed by the Christmas lunch. We had a 3 course meal and a free drink. There were lollies and a child's crayon kit plus crackers. I liked the festive but low-key atmosphere. It was the most relaxed Christmas I've had in ages - no muss, no fuss. The venue was large but not overcrowded with an outlook of the golf course and lake. I'd definitely choose this club again. I treated my family and found it a good price compared to a lot of other places I looked at. I'd highly recommend the earlier time slot as it was all paced really well. Thank you and to the friendly staff on hand.

I was on my way home back to Melbourne after a week holidays I Canberra.
I wanted to check out Gungahlin Golf course that I could play next time I am back in Canberra.
I was recommended this course by my playing partners at another course.
Gungarlin Lakes golf course is as good as what I was told. Looked great, and challenging with lots of water and sand traps and challenging sized greens.
The proshop staff were awesome, great to chat with and were friendly, helpful happy to assist in any way they can.
I recommend a game is a must when in Canberra as green fees are good value. 👍

It would be nice to encourage kids to eat steak & vegies, small baked chicken drumsticks & chips, chicken breast tenderloins, plain simple pasta dishes with real chicken breast pieces, stir fries & rice or lasagne rather than dried up processed foods like nuggets (cheaper at maccas), spaghetti bolognaise with hardly any mince and too much soggy sauce, greasy pizza with hardly any meat, dry battered fish bites with hardly any fish flesh inside. We encourage children to eat healthy at schools but the club and restaurants do not cater well for children menus. If a 8 or 9 year old want a small steak for a main then you pay $35 or more adult price. The children's menu needs to improve with better food. We need to feed our children better!

Have just had a fish burger off new lunch menu ( 12.00 -2.00 mon to Fri).
I would not recommend this to anyone ( doesn't look anything like the picture on the email), also as the bread roll was very dense and not much of a filling ( would feed a 4 year old, more fish in a small tin of tuna) not worth the $22 ( members price) that was paid. A McDonalds fish burger has more substance and flavour.☹️👎👎 Doesn't deserve the one star that is required to post this review.

Have been to the Lakes twice now; once for coffee, and also for dinner. Coffee from the cafe bar was excellent. The food ordered for dinner was also excellent quality (flathead & chips, lamb curry, the chicken and shrimp in the Pad Thai were perfectly cooked). The views are superb - very relaxing especially if you reserve a window table. Prices reasonable. Highly recommended.

Excellent atmosphere and meal. Great prices too. My wife and I have been members for years. I got a birthday voucher in March, but my wife, whose birthday was yesterday ( that’s why we were there), never received a voucher. Her name is Pam Jorritsma. Come here often for the pizza special night. The view is really nice and the food is served in large quantities and taste delicious. The customer service is also not bad, recommend it over other clubs in the Gungahlin region.

Booked a table for 10 on Friday the 1 March, service and meals were fantastic and enjoyed by all. Staff were polite and provided excellent service. Would recommend the Gungahlin's Lakes for any get together.

Arrived early fr tee time, found the coffee bar area, good friendly staff, plenty of space. The course made you thin your way round, greens good, got used to them after a few holes. Pr shop had a good selection staff was helpful and friendly. Will go again.

Always a great experience at the Lakes.
The food is really good quality they have a fantastic selection behind the bar, as well as a few non alcoholic selections, a great TAB and pokies area and loads of big screens for all your sporting needs.
The Lakes also has an amazing 18 hole golf course. It's a tough challenge with loads of water hazards but really good quality and a great way to get a round in.

A great place to meet friends for coffee, a snack, lunch or dinner. The views from the panoramic windows are quite spectacular!
Friendly, efficient service from the staff is standard. The club is always immaculately clean and very inviting.

4 of us went to the club Thursday night (steak night) and we all agreed it was terrible. We all ordered medium/rare but it came out BLUE. One couldn’t face it and asked for it to be put back on to make it eadible. The steaks were all tough and full of grissle. We won’t be ordering steak again.
