We went there with some Fraser they were members, you get cheaper meals if you are.You have to show your licence when signing in,so remember to take it.The food was good, but for me ,it need more salt. The staff were very attentive, good out look .They are building more grand stands so abit of construction going on,but that didn't bother us.

We went for lunch. My daughter had a Thai salad that had 4 very crunchy bits of what looked like sand or something in it. Almost cracked her tooth. My husbands Steak burger was great but my mince burger was still raw in the middle. Very disappointed with our lunch.

Unfortunately our experience was not positive. Harris Park was too busy. After waiting over 60 minutes for 5 meals, not one part of our meals was hot. A medium steak was cooked no more than medium-rare. Very disappointing and not sure if we will be back. You are only as good as the last meal served.

This venue is really big. The staff are very professional and efficient in meal preparation. We ordered and had the meals served within 15 mins. Really liked the battered squid. There is a large play area for kids.

This review is based purely on the quality of the food. The food itself was well presented and looked great however the fried squid was either overcooked which made it very rubbery and almost flavourless, the salad that came with it was bland too and was barely touched. My wife had an Asian salad (not in the photo) which was okay but had far too many capsicums which overpowered the taste even after removing many of them. The best part of the meal was the Garlic Bread as even the Sweet Potato wedges were almost mushy and had probably been sat for a while as they were only just warm. Not impressed and certainly won't be returning for food anytime soon.

This place could be so much better. For some reason they don't have Coke on tap and have to let every customer know that they have to buy a can of Coke separately from your alcohol choice as they only have Pepsi (plus other flavours like lemonade etc.) on tap. The set for up concerts is despicable. When you have more people at a concert (outside) than inside the venue and they choose to have 10× the amount of staff working the bar inside than in the actual busy concert bar outside. My new shoes are ruined as they choose to set the stage up with no cover from rain and it's just mud in front of the stage with putrid smelling porter loo's next to the stage. This place is getting so much worse at hosting concerts. Last time I seen the Rubens in 2020 they had seating and this time in 2024 no seating.

They asked for my id, then she scanned it without asking , when asked why I was told it was to ensure I didn't cause trouble, when I asked how long they will keep it for , she said I don't know. I didn't see nor was I directed to a privacy statement. The menu was very comprehensive. I had the duck spring rolls and lettuce. They were delicious but for over $20 I think it was a bit expensive. The main was a crumb steak chips and veg. It was nice, tasty and good size for $20 . I felt very sorry for the lovely wait staff as they were not trained , this is not their issue just like the front counter staff , it's that they have very very poor management that is more dollar focused than staff and customer focused. Other people in the group had desert and they all said that they were delicious. They did have a long wait , but it was busy so expected. There is a kids club but when you make a bistro booking you are not told that there is a waiting time or time limit on use in busy times, if that was done, expectations would have been managed. Would I recommend or return out of choice, the answer is definitely NO!!!!. There are far nicer places in Mackay to visit who provide excellent food and care about their staff and customers.

The most excellent customer service from all staff and the food was really great. They accommodate gluten free for coeliacs with so much care and go way and beyond. Many gluten free options on the menu. Cannot recommend Harrup Park highly enough. Only $1 membership and then get members pricing on meals. We order gluten free at the Bistro counter, but the at-table ordering by app is so fast and efficient.

The food from the Bistro was on time and cooked excellently. The food from the Cafe took way too long (50 plus minutes) and some of it, the loaded chips, was inedible. We received and ate our main meals, steak and vegetables, before the Nachos and Chips even got to our children.

Ordered a steak special of the board, never again. Steak full of fat and sinu, chips over cooked, lettuce leaves brown and wilted. Halfway through the meal I told kitchen staff about the meal , reply was sorry. The only thing I enjoyed that night was the cold beer. Air-conditioning vents above dining tables

Not sure if this is the standard way you serve your milkshakes, or the bar server was lazy to pour it into a glass.. I’ve work behind the bar and I know this is the tin blender cup… milkshake was good tho, just a terrible presentation.

My first time at Harrup Park. It was busy but er still got our meals in a good timely manner and the food was lovely along with being presented well, the staff were nice and friendly. The only disappointment was the Thai curry was hotter than mild and the Crunchy Squid salad wasn't very crunchy and the dressing wasn't very nice. Still rate it 5/5 though. We will return again.

Main meals were not that great, certainly didn't get what we paid for, most meals left uneaten. Disappointing visit, hadn't been for a few years and was hoping food was better. The cafe was far better with coffee and dessert.

Having booked a table to take advantage of the Thursday lunch time special (we aren't usually available to eat out on Thursdays), only to find out when we arrived & were seated that, due to the "Show Day" public holiday, the weekday Special & including seniors' meals were unavailable only the regular menu?? Checked the website & found no indication via t&c's that this was the case. Not sure what difference the public holiday made, seeing that chefs were cooking lunch & wait staff were there as well, not to mention the public holiday surcharge. We had a drink & decided to vacate our table without having any lunch. The website should be updated to show exclusions to specials etc.

Had a magnificent dinner here, was extremely busy, yet we had our meal in about half an hour. They did amazing service and were only happy to cater for our massive table. Always a nice spot for hubby and I to visit on our date night

Great atmosphere, well organised establishment & worth being a member. The food was perfectly cooked. A wonderful assortment of foods on the menu at fair prices. Food was bland ,staff were quite nice and helpful, great customer service, but for the amount paid for the venue & food I would not recommend this. The only Nice thing about the room was the chandeliers & privacy of party

Food ok, service is ok. Fairly busy most nights. Little pricey though. Booked a large table for a birthday and they had us on 2 separate tables without even telling me. So that was annoying but we made do. Not very comfy chairs in the Cafe area down the bottom. They used to be, but have recently been changed.

Big club with good atmosphere. Not as loud as some places. I went with a party of 6, including 2 kids. The food was nice. None at the table had any complaints. Kids loved the supervised kids area where you can leave your kids for an hour. Cakes look amazing, but I didn't try them. Heaps of parking. Staff were all very friendly.

Awesome place, cheap membership (just joined for 3 years), great discounts on meals, fantastic food, great menu with lots of choices, great lunch time specials, great deals via app only option, plenty of parking. Restaurant, Coffee shop, multiple bars, function rooms and plenty of parking. 12 to 1pm is the busiest time here. Picture is the Angus Rump (100g), chips and salad for $11.00. (July 2023). Doesn't look a lot but it was pretty filling with the salad in the bowl.

All steaks were OK. The seafood basket overall was very disappointing. The squid in the seafood basket was very dry, brittle and tasteless. The battered barramundi meal was mostly undercooked. All salads accompanying meals were dry, tasteless and had no dressing.

3/4 meals were great. The schnitty tasted quite iffy but the lovely staff offered a drink as apology. Rest was really nice.
