What a great venue for a farewell lunch with friends. The staff were so wonderful, the specials for lunch so affordable and large in style. Food was top class. Easy to check in. Look forward to another visit.

We stopped in for dinner and I had a really nice Thai beef salad. Staff were very efficient and friendly and the environment was family friendly.

We researched places to eat in Wauhope and decided that this is where we would have lunch. The menu seemed good and well priced. When we went to order here was one person to take all the orders and get drinks. She had to leave the area 4 times to ask someone what to do regarding the till. I overheard her tell one customer four different answers to the same question, no wonder he was confused. One of our group ordered drinks at the main bar, only one option for sugar free Coke, only post mix machine orange juice and absolutely no sparkling mineral water. so we had no drinks. When we asked for water at the food ordering counter, they guy working there was clearly not impressed, rolled his eyes and got it without saying a word. Yes there were water tap on the bench but without glasses, pretty useless. To top everything off, we were told all orders from here on will be at least an hours wait. What? it wasn't that busy, most people had or were eating already so... needless to say we walked out.
We were later told by a local that we probably dodged a bullet as the food is mostly average at best.

Went there today for lunch. I was very quickly greeted by two friendly staff, very nice. I ordered a schooner of Reschs as it was on the Reschs Appreciation Society map. The guy was enthused at my choice as he went to the main bar to get my drink. I ordered bangers and mash and was not disappointed. Both items were excellent value at $23.60 total. The Reschs was 10/10 and the meal was 9/10. I would have given the meal 10/10 except the Reschs was so good. I decided to have a quick donation to the pokies and was disgusted the entire pokie room was smoking, thus my low rating for the atmosphere, solely on that. There was no sign indicating this is a smoking area. Weirdly, they still have VIP signs up for the pokie room, which has been outlawed, might want to take a look at that. Wonderful elsewhere in the dining area. Most people don't smoke, perhaps make those that chose to smoke, go outside. Thanks for the great experience.

We had the Tuesday $12 Rump Steak deal, we both had mash and veg, veg was cooked perfectly and not over done, broccolini was still so bright but not too crunchy. The Rump Steak Was perfectly medium rear closer to rear. And perfectly seasoned. The creamy garlic sauce was smooth and delicious.
Service was fantastic, the lady who served us was lovely.

We came on the 2 4 1 deal... Meals were delicious,some of the steaks done more than others,but overall consist was such a busy night it was very yummy and friendly atmosphere...
Will definitely be back.

Unique owner who listens to customers and acts. Great food , reasonably priced. Great wine choice . Friendly service. Noise can be an issue , particularly if big night at the public bar and you’ve gone out to “catch up”, or a big crowd at one table. Maybe could open separate room off dining room .

The food was ok, but all the drinking glasses were filthy and streaky. I suggest changing whatever detergent they use in their dishwasher.

Really good food. Reasonably priced as well, service was good. Drinks are overpriced though. All in all a great place for a meal.

Popped in for a meal tonight the 29th December 2022. Absolutely just the best Chicken Parmi I've had. There will be not a crumb left. Can't wait for the next trip through.

Plenty of specials be it beer or food...
Was clean, good service, good choice of beers and spirits...
This was one visit on a Saturday, $4.70 schooner tap beers til 5pm, don't recall start time...
Would recommend this pub, note, it is a Celebration Pub, IE. Independent!!!!

Old fashioned country type pub in a nice little town. Spacious and tired inside, yet felt comfortable for us. Eclectic mix of patrons was interesting.
Beer was good, food was as expected, generous and certainly good value on a 2for1 night. Finding the door in was a challenge with most locked and no signs

Lunch today was absolutely beautiful. Thai beef salad had just enough Chilli. The lambs fry and Bacon was tender. Staff very friendly and courteous.

It's one of our favourite spots in Wauchope. Simple, easy, and the food is always great. They have always some special deals during the week.

Have enjoyed a few dinners in the bistro area. Food is always delicious, very filling, large meals, good prices and lots of options on the menu. Recommend booking as it can get busy. The Bistro area is really nice and updated but the other eating area could do with some work. The noise from the other eating area can get very loud it would be good if they put a self closing door to separate the two areas. They have some good meal deals on during the week.

Had a really nice drink there with my friends and the bartender Talia was very lovely and friendly and even came over at one point to make us feel even more welcome and chat with us joining in with the laughter. Would for sure go back

Fantastic lunch specials.
We had the chicken schnitzel n a Thai beef salad. Both exquisite.
Quite a crowd in for lunch, we were fortunate to order early.
Reches on tap. Brookvale ginger beer with ice n lime is a tasty drop also.
Well worth the visit if you're travelling through or just live locally.

A real workers pub which seemed quite popular with the locals. Prices were a bit over the top in my opinion and the food was ok but nothing to write home about.

A feeling of being "locked in" doesn't help the ambience - lovely icy cold beer though.

Accidentally spilt beer as I was passing a drink to another patron, I told staff I spilt about 2/3 of my beer and was happy with just a half beer replacement. Instead they said it's $7.80 for a full beer regardless of whether I wanted a half beer or not as it was "my faukt*. What's heppened to the Alistair name? I used to recommend these guys and now not only am I disappointed, with their current standards, but ashamed that I used to recommend these guys to potential customers. Big L on Mr Flowers for letting this happen on the first place.
