We were very disappointed in the menu. No seniors meals any more and a lack of choice. Have been coming to the HT for a long time but would probably lunch elsewhere next time. Too expensive.

We were there for the Kid program and decided to stop by Helensvale Tavern for dinner. They are now using Chewzie to order from the table, but they come with processing fees. We have the Sat special Pizza + Soft Drink for $20, lamb cutlet, fish n chips and steak n chips kids meal. The food is great and generous in size.

Went with a group of friends. Food was excellent prices are so cheap. Pasta was amazing. Great kids menu and overall excellent variety.

Went too lunch at the tavern today 8 of us have been going there for years..my meal was wrong I ordered barramundi and got salmon I HATE SALMON. A scruffy, unshaven person wearing a cap delivered the salmon. I said I ordered the barra he stated gruffly it's on the docket. He stormed off and came back with the docket he didn't show me,I said ill have a refund please as everyone had their meals. He stormed off mumbled about my attitude. A lovely waiter returned with my money,we asked who was that guy and he said oh he's the head boss. Well we won't be returning too the tavern if that's what they call boss a scruffy rude person with a bad customer service experience.

Went for meal at the Tavern on Sunday evening and noticed that they had brisket as a special. On a side note I almost never ordered it as it said brisket with bok choy and mushrooms with no mention of mash. Anyway I asked if I could get a side order of mash with the brisket and when it arrived it was on a bed of mash so there was no need to have placed a side order. I mention this as people may not order it as there is no mention of mash.
The brisket which was a large chunk was amazing and tender. I will be ordering it every time it is available.
Hopefully they will have it more often as it is the first time I have seen it on offer and we visit fairly often. Generally have the barramundi or fillet steak which have always been good however this was next level and you seldom see brisket on offer.

Was unfortunately disappointed with the service. Staff were more interested in laughing and joking with each other than tending to customer needs on 2 occasions for us. Poor customer service but the food was nice and we liked that the kids meals were brought out with the entree.

Was served a dry & burnt schnitzel with a tiny amount of garlic cream sauce (included). When I asked for more because of how dry and burnt it was, the manager refused unless I paid the $2 for the sauce that the meal was supposed to come with anyway. Clearly desperate for every last $

Was made to wait for 57 minutes for 2 steaks, while watching other customers arriving after us, being served before us. More than likely our order was lost, as the waitress had likely heard our conversation about the wait time as she was cleaning the next table. Both our steaks were disgraceful with half consisting of fat and gristle and the meal looked as if thrown on to the plate in a hurry. Seriously don't waste your money or time at this place, go to Sharks Football Club or the Helensvale Bowls Club for better service and meals..

#UpdatePost We have been going here for over 20 years and love the place. I feel like the long term staff are like Family and always make you feel welcome! :) Today my girlfriend & I had meals from the $15 lunch range & they were not only delicious, but my steak cooked perfectly. Also you cannot beat their Parmy's so Amazing 10/10
The COVID measures such as Check-in & Social distancing etc are all well done & handled perfectly.

This tavern is a marvellous place to dine.
Price are very reasonable, for adults and children alike.
The meals are delicious and ample and the choices of childrens meals are great and substantial. The meals are prepared and delivered promptly.
The staff are so friendly, obliging and efficient.
We have become regulars.

The staff are so kind and helpful, the food is delicious and we always return, although the customer that was quite rude to the waitress with long black hair went a bit far, she was just doing her job and didn’t deserve that she was the nicest staff member in tonight I doubt the lady that complained and claimed she was a chef her said she was a chef herself was at all 😂

Terrible food. That’s assuming it ever arrives. Have tried eating here many times and regulars know it’s great for drinking, not for eating. . The staff don’t ever seem to be able to deliver food. If they get it wrong Uluru get blamed.
Do t also ask for food to be reheated when served cold. Apparently it’s always the customers fault a $52 meal is cold and they then microwave the steak. Don’t eat here - there is a pizza and chicken place next door. Do yourself a favour.

So I went in to play poker last weekend on Saturday and I approached the bar were they make coffee and there was a staff member , balled white guy wiping the walls down , I says to him it looks clean bro ! Can you grab me a beer 🍺 ? He replied in a grumpy manner why don't u join the line like everyone else , I agreed and moved to the line .
As I was waiting to be served the white balled guy cuts in and says we are not serving you tonight !!! I asked him why and he said I didn't like your attitude 😒.
From there management was called over and said to me that there staff member felt threatened!
Security arrived and I was removed from the premises .
Long story short ,management done nothing to resolve the problem nor did they ask me for my vision of the story not that it matters anyway.
This tavern was a good place to hang out and I've spent thousands of dollars on poker and pokies but to be treated like this was unexptable!!!
Fix the way you run this joint people !!!

Our meals were really tasty, but were nearly cold. We were in a hurry to see a show, so didn't have time to get them reheated. The staff were all very friendly and the Eagles Tribute show was fantastic. We are locals, so will be back!

One of my fav steak places. Reasonable price and high quality steak. Juicy, nice cook. Only one thing if their steak has veggies option instead if salad. It will be perfect.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at Helensvale Tavern. It was a particularly busy day, but the service was fast and friendly, and we couldn't fault the beautifully presented meals. Crispy Skinned Salmon and the Chargrilled Lamb Rack. Kudos to the chef!

I had the barramundi on top of mashed potatoe and creamy coconut prawns on top also with broccolini, it was like a type of cheesy mixed with tarter sauce in a way though the meal and lots of sea salt garnished on top, it tasted pretty good and the fish size was decent, could of done with an extra side like some sweet potatoe cramed corn maybe but all in all for thr price it was a decent meal.

I booked 2 weeks in advance, waiter came over and said they had unexpected group of 30 turn up so that’s why we got poor service. We had to ask for glasses and plates to be cleared, apart from poor service it’s normally a great tavern. Bar staff were wonderful.

Haven't been here for a while. Had lunch with my daughter the other day. Great meals and price. Good atmosphere and friendly service. 👍👍👍

Great value meal and cheerful staff. We visited on a very busy Friday night. We will book next time as all the inside tables were booked, this is a popular little local! The high volume of patrons did not delay our meal at all. Definitely recommend!

Great night out starting with dinner. Large portions and great value. We then saw a band with the venue offering enough tables and seating and reasonable bar prices. Staff & management were exceptional

First time there. Went for dinner.
All staff were very friendly though.
This was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time.
Big fat juicy Sirlion cooked med to well, just as requested. And the same for my girlfriends med/rare. And Big fat chips.
Compliments to the kitchen staff and whomever purchases the meat.
Definitely will be going again.

Decent crowd. Good music. More atmosphere than at the Parkwood tavern. Friendly staff and patrons. Nice clean and tidy venue. Enough parking for when I was there late night. Good layout. Small to medium size gaming area. Ok selection of machines for the size.

Busy bistro. Polite staff and we'll run. Food came quite quickly even though they were busy. I had bangers and mash. 2 thick beef sausages were tasty and mash was creamy. Good to become a member and get significant discounts on meals.

Brilliant meal, 7 of us the size of those meals were huge like always, I am now a member and will continue to be ,the meals are such good value , I love it there, I live in Brisbane and travel down there just for the food, at least they get the meaning of value for money.

Best quality, and best value club meal on the Gold Coast. No skimping on size, pretty good atmosphere and friendly staff.

A chill, laid back tavern.. Come as you are lol I got a steak that looked like the shape of Australia 😂 😂 excellent sized meal size 👌 😋
