About Hendon Hotel
Casual quarters in a relaxed hotel offering a bistro, plus a bar, a game room & free breakfast. Along the A15 highway, this low-key hotel is 4 km from Fishermen's Wharf Market and 5 km from the closest white-sand beach along St. Vincent Gulf. The 10 casual rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minifridges, as well as tea and coffeemaking facilities. All offer en suite, shower-only bathrooms. You get barred from the place for a bunch of lies and I have proof about the lies and they still let people drink there that put your kids in hospital
Not to mention my son was autistic and put him in hospital
And last year the same guy that put my son In hospital
Put hand sanitizer in my austic and ADHD son eye
And yeah nothing got done
This pub is not family friendly and something needs to be done about it
Everyone that matters apart from people that socialise with kids bashes and people that do drugs in in the toilets comes to the Seaton you get treated better there and better food and better customer service

Very nice pub was in south Australia for the a week and was very happy with the beer here also great service by the young man think his name was craig. Will definitely recommend

Very nice meals Tony is a lovely guy but the young lady taking orders needs to listen when someone orders drinks and meals and charge double for a drink not a single.

Used to be great, then management stopped caring about keeping women and diverse people safe. Avoid at all costs unless you are a straight white cis male.

The older lady the works behind the bar was just plain rude and racist towards my mate only black person there and ask him for id to drink when he had a full beard! Didn't ask me or my other friends who are all younger than him...

Staff very helpful, but sleep is an issue with the music from the poker machine room downstairs…. That needs to be fixed… and the cleaner vacuuming keenly at 0540am on the 4 th morning… I anticipate these issues would be fixed by August 8th 2023… speakers from the Pokies room need to be redirected

Staff very friendly and helpful I could not asked for more.
The meals are good, the service event better .
Bed very comfortable nice and clean

Really nice people. Very clean and quiet. No bistro so no room service. But I would still recommend to stay cause, you know, uber eats can give you the food

Really good hotel, very comfy beds, central location for where we want to go. Very accomodating when we arrive on late flights from WA, always greeted with friendly smiles from all the staff. 10 out of 10 🙏🌻

Once again pinball machine not working properly. Solution was turn the machine off give me my money back. Some solution. Chocolate machine ripped my son off $2 for 5 plays got 1 play. Walked out the door. After many months of not going. Won't be venturing there in a hurry. Best thing about that place is the staff in the drive thru.

My partner and I stay overnight at Hendon each week for work. It is exactly what you want for an overnight stay. Friendly and helpful staff. The cleans are always properly cleaned. Comfortable beds. Hot showers with good water pressure.

Love the lambs fry, bacon and mash on their Seniors menu...
Just reopened their restaurant after 3 years hiatus due to Covid. Still have Lambs Fry and Bacon and Mash on the menu, and this version is still fantastic.
It's slightly different but succulent. Congratulations, I'll be back !

I used to be a very fond patron of the hendon hotel however recent experience and visits have been less than enjoyable with staff whom remove your reserve sign from your Pokie machines without even checking with you if you have finished and then arguing with you when realising the anamosity it has created that you have been too long having your cigarette. I have invested so much money into this pub that I am beyond disappointed with the staffs very rude and nonchalant response to complaints made about this behavior I'll be going elsewhere from now on. Seriously get some better staff..bring back Rebecca,!!!

I’m not a qualified chef but pretty sure rare steak shouldn’t be brown. Not even medium rare is that overcooked. Pretty sure my boyfriends beef schnitzel was rarer than my steak. My 11 year old could have done better, redeeming feature, they give you a free bread roll with real butter, probably because they know you won’t eat your meal when it arrives.
Would rather a servo hot dog, would not recommend.

Had to visit Adelaide for a surgery at the hospital and decided to stay here
The staff were very friendly and the room was cozy and was professionally tidied every day. We had a couple meals as well and they were amazing
Overall the experience was wonderful and we will definitely stay again if we needed to visit again

First time visiting this hotel. I've been in Adelaide for 17 years and drove past the hotel plenty of times, but it just didn't appeal to me.
However, I am glad I went in.
Nice TAB area and a lot bigger than I expected. Really open inside.
I only visited the sportsman bar, so I didn't eat there.
Staff were friendly and provided great service.
Great staff, great service, plenty of parking, and a BWS out the front.
What more could you ask for.
Definitely will visit it again

Nah, let's stay for dinner, they have accommodation available so we don't have to drive and we'll be close for work tomorrow...

3star accommodation, as described. No complaints. Comfortable bed, hot water, decent telly.
Has been a good stay and being just round the corner from my grandson, I can see me hanging out here again.
An extra star because they read their reviews - a sure sign that they work for the customer!

What is wrong with this ALH Group?
Once again only after 8 months of being at the Hendon Hotel we are losing the Venue Manager Tony. When will this stupidity of moving VM’s stop.
He has worked hard in getting this pub moving forward & he’s reward for that is being told we are moving you. Was there any Consultation with Tony prior to this decision being made? Probably Not, just some idiot in Head Office making the decision. This Hotel has just had the AM & 2 Casuals Leave in the last 3-5 weeks & then some Bright Spark decides that the best thing for the Hotel is to move the VM to another Venue. Smart Move!
You wonder why you are losing VM’s & AM’s & casual staff it’s because you treat them with No Respect & Years of Service means nothing to you!
When Tony came back in July 2023 after the last VM lasted only 8 months (he had been here previously but once again got Moved to another Venue), we asked him how long he was going to be here for. He informed us for at least 3 years & we all Laughed. This Hotel hasn’t had a VM last over 12 months for such a long time, some not even lasting a Month before being moved to another Venue. When will this Group stop having this Revolving Door Policy & let the VM’s remain where they are as they know the Venue, the Cliental & what works & what doesn’t.
This Post will probably fall on Deaf Ears & Tony will still be moved after Sunday but maybe it’s about time this Group considered stability for its Employee’s at its Venues & leave the staff there for longer periods rather than the Here Today & Gone Tomorrow Mentality.
