Where do I begin…I’ll start by stating that’s I’m extremely extremely disappointed. Not upset but disappointed. We had a booking for a few people for 7:30 on a Sunday night. I rang and booked out of respect for the amazing things iv heard about the town. The pub could have easily said no to my booking request but instead was rude and upset. We arrived and the first thing we got told was to “hurry up and order we’re waiting on you guys so we can close up”. Don’t get me started on the waitress, the young lady was completely and utterly disgusted by our arrival. We arrived with a warm welcoming and keep to get to know the local pubs. She showed no energy or excitement in having us, didn’t smile once and was given compliments for the food and took offence. The worst pub iv ever been too! Never coming back

We were advised to book in advance when we dropped by a few hours earlier. On being seated we were told that there was no Sirloin steak or pumpkin salad. Having not viewed the menu we ordered an over priced bottle of wine. So with no sirloin, the options were limited to 3 different parmis & a barra dish. Seriously, what pub has only one red meat dish on offer???

Went there for dinner.
A short but very well cooked and served menu. The whole team were working hard and professionally to reward guests with an enjoyable meal and they succeeded.

Went for a catered 21st upstairs on balcony...food and food service was fabulous..

We just had the best Parma we’ve had in a long time. Mushroom gravy was delicious 😋
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Definitely recommended to all.

The room was fantastic. Great value. The food in the hotel was reasonably priced. The menu is limited, but this is probably a good thing. No complaints about the service.

Stopped in to have lunch wow the food is delicious prices are spot on,was greeted with a smile service is amazing, highly recommend everyone to try there food out 10/10 💖

Stopped here for a pub dinner on the way home from camping, and you best believe it hit the spot! The staff were friendly, the kind of people you could see yourself having a beer with. The building was aesthetically pleasing, well maintained and fitting in with the 'authentic gold rush era' vibe of the town. But the food took the metaphorical cake. It's hard to stuff up a parma, but I can't remember the last time I had one this good. Cooked to perfection so it was crispy golden goodness on the outside and succulent on the inside, with four sides to pick from. The classic chips and veg combo also delivering.
A must stop if you are ever in Beechworth!

Service was good but on this occasion food was substandard, 2 patrons had the curried prawns, the prawns were edible but the rest of the dish was far to hot to enjoy, they in fact could not be eaten, the underside of the grilled fish was burnt so you had to be careful not to eat the burnt flavoured portion. The steak ordered was edible but not cooked as ordered. Usually the meals here are of good pub quality but not tonight, maybe the Chef was just having an off night ?

Sensational meal on a Sunday night two weeks ago, we rolled into town late and needed a hearty feed, we both thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Roast of the day Pork’ it couldn’t have been more satisfying! Thank you!

Rating for the dining room, not the accommodation. Plenty of space, and although food service time was relatively slow, we all loved the food.
We were there on Thursday night for the Parma choices, loved the crunchy chips, and the pumpkin salad with chicken.

Nice food.
They were really nice about replacing soggy chips on request and it was no hassle.
The fritters were a bit more batter-y than optimum.
Kids menu and roomy kid friendly space.
Good facilities.
Good, friendly service.
Not a huge variety of beers but enough, and the ones we had were good.
A table for 13 without booking was fine for Saturday lunch.

Monday was semi packed, lovely atmosphere lovely staff and locals
Ordered our dinner, garlic bread , scollops very nice. steak rear with veggies and chicken Kiev
Stark done to perfection chicken had no sauce running out and a little dry… maybe cause it was just over a hour for our meals…. Maybe cause they are short staff like everywhere…
Still would prob come back on our next trip through …

Modern and spotless. Very comfortable bed. Great size rooms, apartment style with small kitchenette in a fabulous location. Continental breakfast included already provided in your room so you can relax in the morning. The staff are lovely and of course the pub and bistro are next door so it makes for an easy evening after you arrive. Basic pub grub but very good.

Lots of locals seem to eat here, far more than I saw at any other place around town.
The food is uninspired but competently done. You'll will have a good meal here.

Located off Camp Street in central Beechworth offers spacious clean and comfortable accomodation adjacent to the pub. Book ahead because the units are in high demand. The pub offers the best of typical Australian hotel services and the staff are friendly and helpful. Its not the Ritz, but we had a relaxed and comfortable time.

It's sad that sometimes you need to leave a bad review on which, I'm sure, is a good country pub. I understand that it's Anzac Day and I understand you're going to be busy but be open, be transparent and show a bit of concern and hussle.
Upon ordering, the young man at the counter told me that it would be about half an hour wait for food and that was fine but when 4 of the 6 meals arrive an hour after ordering you become less impressed.
The Parmi was burnt (charcoal burnt) which they tried to hide under the mash, bacon and gravy and not worth the almost $30 price tag, after an hour and a half the last 2 meals finally arrived only after other diners at my table had finished eating.
5 or 7mins later a staff member came over to the table and gave us free ice cream for the kids as an apology for the meals but completely useless for the last kid who just got their meal only minutes before that 🙄.
I'm sure it's a great pub on a normal day but I'll give this place a wide berth next time I'm in town.

Great service and food. We were a large group and they catered for the kids/teens in one sitting, and then the adults. All meals arrived in a timely manner.

Good location.
Room was functional but not that clean - crumbs on the table and dust on the shelves.
Bed was clean and comfortable though.

DON’T BE FOOLED! We booked this after looking at the pictures of all the lovely looking food. But what we got was tasteless overcooked small portions over priced food. And nothing on the menu like the pictures. 9 items on the menu not available. Ordered a lemon lime and bitters. Disgusting. Couldn’t drink it. We all took turns in trying to guess what it was. To say it was a disappointment is an understatement. I really can’t see where the rating they have come from. Don’t waste your money go somewhere else.

Do not go to this hotel. 1hour and 30 minutes for lunch to be served. People who came in 45 minutes after us had their lunch before us. Managers did not care or apologise.

Awesome lill pub for a casual drink or a meal. Had the steak which was cooked to perfection. The cold brew went down an absolute treat. 👍

A typical choice of pub bistro food. Orders taken from Bain Marie /food service area. Clean, polite service. Good for young families. Don't like the constant keno reports on TV, but it is a pub, afterall. Nothing special to comment on but good for a basic meal with friends. Choice of several types parmas, beef curry, barramundi, calamari etc. all served with chips or mash, and veg. Curry served with rice and naan bread. Satisfied and full tummy.
