Went there tonight for my son and mums birthday. We got there 5mins before the kitchen opened and one of the staff members was so rude to us. We were happy to wait, but the way the woman talked to my husband and parents was disgusting. We won't go back.

We had a delightful experience, Dylan served us and we were running a little late for dinner and he was incredible about it. The chef was amazing and delivered our food personally. Highly recommend this place and the staff are top notch. Food was incredible service was even better!

Was expecting much more from this place after reading the reviews. Definitely wont be returning ant time soon.
The food was, at best, average. Pork belly was dried out.
Cheese burger was only meat and cheese with tomato sauce, no salad.
Battered fish was more batter than fish.

Very nice meal, took Dad out for lunch, haven't been for a little while was very nice, we both had Chicken which was well priced

This venue could shine a lot more than it does, the food is quite average or was on the day we went Anzac Day, which I know is busy however, a venue this size should be ready for the onslaught of customers out for this day. Atmosphere could do with more, if feels like a hall with tables and chairs, lacking in character. Drinks are average price in the area. Food disappointing, Atmosphere pretty much a school hall.

Thirteen of us were there for a family get together. The evening was going well and we were all having a good time. There was a private party in the function room and when that wrapped up, staff members started to burst the balloons that they must have had in the room for decoration. My five year old grandson went up and asked the staff member if he could have a balloon please, the staff member said no and continued to burst them in front of him. My grandson came back to the table really upset.
Do you condone this sort of treatment of children by your staff, if so we will not be visiting your restaurant anytime soon.

Terrible service. Terrible meal. Waited an hour for basic meals. 3 seniors meals and a salad with grilled chicken (only 5 pieces of dry chickenfor an extra $5 - shocking). All overcooked and dry. Seniors snitzels and fish were so tiny (photoof snitzel has one bite taken). Much smaller than a seniors meal at other taverns. Think they ran out of food. Will not come back. Do not go there if you want to enjoy a meal. Should be no stars option.

Steaks where good salad was audinary without any dressing served and the sauce was only half a little cup. When I complained they told me I needed to pay for more sauce. They need more sauce to be served. $48.00 steak chips salad and mushrooms sauce 🙁

Really friendly staff and very accommodating. We ate at 6.00pm on a Tuesday night and needed a booking. By 7 they were full. Food was affordable and tasty. They had a fenced in outside playground and were very accommodating of kids. We had a great time there and would highly recommend it. Just make sure you book first.

Our group were so pleased with the extra special service we were given while enjoying a wedding lunch at the tavern. The staff were so friendly and made the guests feel like royalty.
The food was excellent especially the entree share plates and the steaks were cooked exactly to order.
I would certainly recommend Highfields Tavern to anyone wanting quality food and great service.

Me and my son really enjoyed our meals ... It was packed but food came out really fast. My son is very fussy but he ate his whole meal. Reasonably priced.service was good. Meat has a lovely flame grilled flavour

Lack of service from wait staff. Told to take a table and they would bring a menu. 10 minutes later went and found one myself. Parmy cooked beautifully. Veggies not cooked at all. Go chips and salad if you visit.

Had a function here and could not fault the service. Staff could not do any more to accommodate me to make the day a success.
Room was set up as planned and staff liased with me regularly to make sure everything was going well.
Food was nicely presented.

Great place to eat kids meals are a good size and all come with chips, drink and icecream.
The snitzel and parmis are a good size and the salad and chips are a good quanity. Steak was cooked right and same serving of sides as the snitzel. The sides if brought separate are a nice amount too.
The full rack of ribs was cooked great fall off the bone but the size of the ribs needs improvement is the down fall. Compared to others I've had for price.
Ashleigh was a great server and very friendly and on task with clear up and serving very happy with her.
Local wines would be nice if they were avaible to buy over counter.
Bout overall drink prices are pretty good.

Good Food, reasonable price. Happy service.
Needs to be some better organizing with everyone in the same group getting their meal at the same time. Most of us were finished our meal and others didn’t have their meal yet.
Looked around and realized others were experiencing the same thing.

Compared to what it used to be, this venue is a disgrace; the standard of food was well below par, and the service was less than acceptable, e.g. - the fish being sold as “Barramundi” was definitely NOT Barramundi.
We will not be visiting this place ever again!

Celebtated a 30th last night in function room. Food was great. Service was top notch. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend
