We had our Lions changeover dinner with thirty guests and arranged a set 2 course menu alternate drop. Excellent meals had by all in attendance. A great place to have a function with overhead projector available which we used on the night.

We booked in for Christmas lunch with a party of 13 people. The buffet included a range of delicious Christmas fare and fresh seafood (prawns and natural oysters too!) The service was excellent with our tables continuously being cleared and plenty of staff to serve drinks and replenish the buffet. This was honestly such great value for the overall price and the option of a drinks package. Thanks Holland Park Hotel! We had a wonderful Xmas lunch with no preparation or cleaning up!

Very disappointing meal/s. Will not be back and will not recommend. I ordered T-Bone with grilled prawns as topper. The t-bone eye side was very thin and the porterhouse side was a little thicker but very chewy. The prawns were a huge concern, I put one in my mouth and spat it out immediately the taste was off, they were cold and some still frozen, floppy and watery. I was so concerned that myself or someone else would get food poisoning and suggested they do not serve anymore that day. I told the waitress immediately and she went to advise the chef but never returned to give me an update. The manager then came over and inappropriately sat down at my table leaning right over a family member’s meal that was still being eaten (they had just popped to the bathroom) and proceeded to defend the chef’s reasoning why the prawns were so bad. He said the chef had told him the prawns were frozen and soaked in water (I’m assuming to defrost them), he then said he told the chef to drain some of the water out of them maybe. He also said they pride themselves on delivering quality food. That was definitely not fresh quality. I said because of the taste I was scared now for other people who may eat them. That didn’t seem to be a problem to him. The rest of the food was also very very poor. The Caesar salad was soggy lettuce and so much dressing you could not taste anything so it was inedible. The ribs were another topper that were inedible with a terrible taste definitely not delicious as ribs are. I’m not sure what was used to make the mushroom sauce but it tasted bad, a really strange taste. The only nice part of the meal was the eye fillet that another family member had which was ok although has had much better. So for $130+ they were very poor and extremely concerning meals. I was given $25 cash refund as I was leaving the restaurant (he never mentioned any refund while sitting at the table trying to cover the chefs reasoning) but came toward me in a strange manner and handed me the money like we were doing some kind of deal. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

This is our third Christmas Day Lunch and we just can't fault it. The food was amazing and Plenty of it. The staff were friendly, efficient and exceptional! Excellent value for money. I did my research and I would say it's the best value Christmas lunch in Brisbane.

Stopped in for lunch one day over Easter. First impression was the uninviting musty 'pub' smell and dated decor. Had to interrupt the two male bar attendants' conversation to ask for a lunch menu. That menu was boring and very limited, esp for the vegetarian in our small group. The overall offerings of food and ambience failed to make a positive impression so we left.

Recently went to the HP with my wife. Our relationship has been rocky recently due to some financial and health issues. Somehow , josh behind the bar really rekindled our relationship and now that spark between us is as alive as ever. Great food, great beer, staff that fix marriages, what else could you ask for. Thanks Josh, Thumbs up.

Paul and the team value women’s sport and will happily change the channel if you make a booking. We often head to the HP to watch the Suncorp Super Netball and international netball games. Thoroughly recommend calling ahead to book one of the lounge sections for your group of sports fans!

Passing through Holland Park and decided to call in for a meal. Staff and meal were great, had the Chicken burger ($19) and let's just say the garlic buttered bun was a bonus.

Not happy with the $34 barramundi crusted macadamia. We were missing main ingredients of avocado, red onion and cherry tomatoes. The chat potatoes looked days old. We won't be back for quite a while. This used to be a great place to come for a night out. Update-The manager did offer us a refund. We didn't accept but thank you.

Last night, Alex delivered an outstanding performance that left everyone in awe😉. His energy was infectious, captivating the audience from start to finish. Alex's vocals were powerful and soulful, hitting every note with precision and passion. The way he connected with the table created a memorable experience, as cheers and applause filled the venue throughout the night. It was clear that Alex's talent and dedication shone brightly, making it an unforgettable evening for all who were fortunate enough to witness it. I dream about coming back every night. See you soon Alex

Ladies and gents… the long search is over… holland park time and again has proven to be superior over any other pub. Whether it’s the Stella price on jugs during footy season, customer service by the man himself Quentin behind the bar or the food that leaves no customer unsatisfied… come give holland park a try. You will not be disappointed.

It was my first time having dinner at the Holland Park Hotel bistro and must I say it was the most delightful experience. We were seated promptly and had the best customer service. After being sat for a while, we checked the menu and went up to the bar to order instead of using the QR code. We had a good yarn with the lovely curly haired bartender called Josh. He was kind enough to take all of our orders and the food came promptly. 10/10 would eat here again.

I had a great experience at the HP. A family member of mine had a medical episode and the bartender Josh was quick to act and put her in the recovery position. I truly believe he saved her. He provided great service to our table and may have saved my family member.

Great service from the staff at my visit the other night. Always appreciate being able to park the wheelchair at the bar. The outback chicken schnitzel was a highlight! Tristan had great knowledge of the beers on tap. Will definitely come back.

Food was OK. We appreciated the large serving sizes. Downside was we waited a very long time for desert to come out and the serving sizes were really tiny. Staff were very friendly though. Overall I prob wouldn't recommend.

Food Five of us dined, and two chose the 200g grazier’s eye fillet steaks with chips and salad, one had the beer battered fish and chips, one had a burger and I had my fav meatballs with mash, peas and gravy. Meals are expertly prepared with love, care and attention to detail and presented to the table on stylish white crockery. The steaks were tender, tasty and flavoursome. My meatballs had a firm and well cooked texture and were perfectly complemented by the creamy mash and fresh garden peas, with the whole concoction smothered in a rich, tangy gravy. I took advantage of the “seniors meal deal” where for only another $3, I received a slice of carrot cake with vanilla icing and a dollop of cream. The perfect way to end the meal. Ordering & Service I’m finally starting to warm to the self-ordering app, and this is how the staff prefer you to order. You can now link your Monty’s Rewards card to the app, to ensure that you get the 5% discount. I spoke to staff beforehand and they assured me that if we couldn’t handle the app ordering, they would take our orders in the old fashioned way, but it wasn’t necessary. After placing our orders, the drinks were swiftly brought to the table, but after that we waited about 25 minutes for main courses. That did give us time to enjoy our drinks, and whilst I appreciate that the place was quite full, it would be nice to have slightly faster service. But again on the pos side, we found all the staff to be polite and helpful, and it was nice to see them neatly turned out in smart blue uniforms with the H.P. Hotel logo on the breast pocket. Ambience As with all A.L.H. Group Hotels, the ambience is super casual, relaxed and laid back. We always enjoy ourselves at A.L.H. Venues and the H.P. was no exception. The interior is carpeted, with high ceilings, strong lighting, wooden panels and comfortable furniture. This works well to create a warm, homely and welcoming ambience. Tables are well spaced out making for excellent acoustics and we were easily able to converse. Being a Sunday afternoon, there was a decent turnout which gave it a lively vibe. There are a few different dining spaces to choose from, each with their own merits. We chose the main area in the middle of the venue and even though it was a chilly winter's day, it was as warm as toast inside. Cost Prices are extremely reasonable, especially if you’re a Monty’s Rewards Club Member, which will give you a 5% discount off everything inc drinks. All up, for five of us, we paid a modest 166 pesos for three schooners, a G & T, five main meals and a dessert. You can’t beat that for value for money at any comparable restaurant. Thanks to the A.L.H. Group, the owner of this, and many other fab pub venues around Bris-Vegas, for managing to keep prices low, especially for seniors who are struggling against this tidal wave of soaring prices. Toilets & Parking Toilets are spotlessly clean, well provisioned and easy to find, with ample male and female cubicles. Parking is a breeze in the huge parking area behind the venue, which it shares with the popular Dan Murphy’s liquor store. That makes it extra convenient to be able to stock up the liquor cabinet before you leave for home. Summary We had a sterling afternoon at the H.P. Hotel, and everyone enjoyed it. I especially love the calm, relaxed and unhurried vibe while the tastefully decorated interior creates a warm and homely ambience. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Food is of the highest quality and prices are moderate, especially for Monty’s Rewards Club members and seniors. Add to that, clean and well provisioned toilets and plenty of free parking right outside the hotel, and you have all the ingredients for a fun afternoon or night out with friends or family.

Fantastic food and service as per usual. This is our local go to and we always leave impressed. Great for a local pub feed and even better to watch big footy games. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Came here as moved locally about a month ago. Was hopeful of being a good local pub but was disappointed. I ordered the Caesar salad and it looked amazing when it first came but it was not worth $17 and then toppers. The lettuce was overdressed and completely limp/wilted. The bacon was clumped together in bacon grease from being pre cooked and sat on the bottom of the salad. Very disappointing. My partners steak was cooked as asked but tough and menu said it comes with Caesar salad and chips but it came with a green salad and chips which were underwhelming and under seasoned. Sticky date pudding which was tasty but not heated up and was very dry and not given adequate ice cream to help with the dryness of the cake. The only redeeming grace of our dinner here was the friendly staff and nice drinks selection. After posting this review last week. I spoke with Manager Cameron and he clearly cares a lot about his customers. He invited me and my husband back to rectify the poor food received that night when I wrote the review. We ordered the ribs and chicken roulade. Both generous servings and tasty.
