Wonderful pub food selection. Value for money and the quality shines. I enjoyed the scotch fillet cooked medium. Simply delectable. Becoming a member is totally worth the 10% saving, and the $20 birthday month credit is worth every cent. Thanks for making my experience a memorable one.

Went there after a long time. The place has been renovated well. We went to the bar upstairs. It thas a good decor and vibe. The food was good and each dish was plentiful for Three people. I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately the beer from the tap was not chilled nor was the drinking water.
Hopefully next time it would also be chilled water and beer.
Discovered that there is a games room and a bowling on the top floor. So lots of things to do for the whole family.

This RSL is located in High Street in Hornsby, not far from the station and Hornsby Shopping Centre.
There's parking onsite or you can park in the adjacent streets.
I always enjoy coming here as the staff are friendly and the service and food are excellent. I usually order the Scotch Fillet with chips and salad for lunch. I order it medium and it's cooked to perfection.
Also they usually have a Roast of the Day, $22.50 for the large. You can get lamb or pork or a mixture of both.

The food court has gone down hill sadly.
I got take out $20 fried rice - dull affair and not good considering the cost.

The courtyard is the main food outlet at the RSL which has a pretty good range of food to choose from. It is a Bistro so you line up and you get given a buzzer for when your food is ready. Depending on the time you go it can be quite busy and can take a little while to get your food unless you're going to the show. They have a sign just before the register which tell you how long to wait could possibly be but during that time you could be getting a drink at the bar and or a table. The food ranges from classic pub food, pizza, steaks and or Asian noodle which is what i had this visit. The price was quite reasonable.

That double cheeseburger makes me water at the mouth. I’ve never had a burger in my life as good as that. The onion rings are also so delicious. The portions for the price are really good and the fake leaves and wood is a nice touch. The chairs are a bit close together in some parts and I could almost touch butts with the person behind me.

Tapas at level one is a great experience. Hot day, cold guiness and a great tapas range with your partner in crime👌

Ordered mushroom sauce for my very tasteless t-bone ended up with 1 single piece of sliced mushroom, complained and got another cup of sauce which had 2 pieces that time which still didn't taste much like mushroom sauce and also very runny. Do not go off menu prices as I just realised they charged me $6 more then the advertised price. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Modern and very comfortable. I visited for lunch with a group of seven adults. Roast of the day, pork or lamb, steaks of your choice, fish and chips, pizzas, salads, pastas...even Asian dumplings. Wide choice with high quality offerings. My roast was superb, half pork , half lamb with baked potato, and steamed carrot and beans. Pork crackling was a standout, as was the accompanying gravy. My friend's fillet steak was to die for, as was the fish and chips. Avg prices $18 to $22, a bit more for the steak, and add a couple of dollars for non members. Service was as it should be. Highly recommended.

Lunch was great. I ate chicken snitty with mash veg n gravy. Chicken was yummy and tender with crispy delicious crumb. Mash buttery and moreish. Beer on tap cold and refreshing. Coffee n carrot cake afterwards was spot on. Comfortable seating. Decent pricing. Great for bistro meal.

Last Sunday, I visited the Hornsby RSL club for the first time. One thing that really impressed me was the great quality of the food, the well-stocked bar, and how clean the place was. I had a really enjoyable and memorable experience, and I'm excited to visit again in the future.

I went for dinner with my family on Sunday night and was observing the drinks at the bar while holding my crying one-year-old. One of the bar staff approached me abruptly, stating that children were not allowed at the bar in a rude and arrogant manner, making the situation very unpleasant by throwing his hands in the air and threatening to call the manager, claiming I was violating the law.I calmly told him to call the manager if necessary, as I was merely looking around and not ordering anything. When the manager arrived, I tried to explain the situation, but the bar staff continued to laugh at me. As I was explaining, another manager intervened, accusing me of threatening the staff with my hands when I was only trying to recount the incident. I suggested that they review the footage to see the behavior of their staff member, but both managers refused to listen and sided with the staff member, who continued to laugh at me.When I asked to file a complaint and requested the names of the staff involved, they sarcastically pointed to their name tags and told me to figure it out myself. When I asked again, they responded dismissively, insinuating that I was uneducated and ridiculing me further. This was supposed to be a pleasant evening, but the service was absolutely horrible and the staff incredibly unprofessional. Ultimately, they asked us to leave, falsely accusing me of threatening the staff. It is disappointing to see management disregard customer concerns in favor of protecting their staff, showing a lack of care for customer experience. I would rate in negative if I could... Hornsby RSL didn't disappoint once again 🥺

It was my first time in the club and I think last as well. We meet there with our friends for dinner. I have ordered slow cooked pork bun and my husband Singapore noodles. Very disappointed 😞. Everything was so cold and tasteless. Noodles very dry. Unfortunately for us never again!!!

It is with a heavy heart I write this review. We have been regular patrons of the club for a decade, eating there at least two or three times per month. Usually the food is anything from good to excellent.
Tonight unfortunately was not the case. The staff were friendly as always. We first noticed the menu had changed recently and now has many vegan "meat" alternatives.
I ordered the three pigs pizza - this looked quite plain but was actually very tasty. No problems there.
We ordered the Gnocchi, new to the menu. It was tasteless and bland, the tomato sauce was very watery and it was a fairly small serving. I left most of it uneaten as it was simply unappetising.
My wife ordered the combination Laksa, a meal I have ordered myself many times. Usually it has at least three or four nice prawns and a generous serving of meat and chicken. This time it had one prawn, one tiny piece of chicken as per the photo and two pieces of beef. It was 90% just noodles and watered down liquid.
We had also ordered some chicken on the side for our daughter. This did not arrive. When we asked about it they said they had included the chicken on the pizza. That was not the case. After some further discussion they brought us the chicken however it was literally freezer cold on the inside.
I hope this feedback is helpful. It was a disappointing experience but we hope to try again in a few weeks.

Great place. Come here every 2 months. Every time the food is great. The kids meals are awesome. The normal food has great value. The Asian food is also good. Great atmosphere. Shows the AFL and the NRL. However if you do want to come on Friday or Saturday evening either come early or have a booking. It's really busy

Good food and atmosphere
Nic and clean interior with large space for group dining.
Bar and upstairs area is also nice and classy.
Great for dinner with family or friends.
Prices are on the high side but cheaper for the members.
Parking available but fills up pretty quick:
Off street parking also available.

First time visit, more like a
Mini Casino. Staff very helpful when you enter the building, to sign in. Meals were good, a bit overpriced to be fair. Spent a short time in the Pokies, no luck for us.
Very clean, Toilets were clean.
Apart from the Staff at the Foyer, there’s not much Staff/Customer interaction.

First time visiting Hornsby RSL, came here for junior snooker tournament. This club provides amazing environment for children who are passionate about snooker. Food was absolutely amazing here, kitchen is really extremely busy during lunch time. Service was great, team was very diverse, I felt warm and welcoming. Will come back here more often in the future.

Fantastic area for any age and function. Came with my work mates and we had amazing time. Venue is modern, clean, bright and ambience was lovely. We had table that was surrounded by lovely trees and made us feel that we were somewhere exotic!!!
Food was delicious, tasty, and every single dish that we had was 100% success. The best part was fast, friendly and efficient service with a smile. We will be definetelly back for more!!!👍🍷🍸

Excellent club with a wide ranging fare of food and drinks in different settings, including the Courtyard restaurant and Brew bar. The restaurant gets busy especially during the weekend evenings, so a reservation helps. Food - pub good as well as Asian - was excellent here and great/ efficient service. Brew bar does full justice to its name with a excellent variety of beers and spacious ambience

Couldn't book for Father's Day however our group of 10 were insistent on going there. The first of our group were looked after well by a staff member who organized a table for us even without a booking. We had a lovely time and everyone enjoyed their meals. Great service and food - highly recommended.

Business Meeting in the Boronia Room. Amazing. Lovely staff - so easy to deal with. We will definitely be booking more. Club has parking, and everything you need. Well done to the team at Hornsby RSL

Best dining experience here. My partner tried himself once when I have my company party at the top of the club while he waited for me before Christmas. So we came back to the club again. Tried the noodle and dumpling bar there with my partner recently. Best food in the club we tried so far. They also have fresh chillies available there which is just GREAT. I love that. Also lots of sauces to chose too. The food was so yummy. We love to come back again in the future. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼

As an overseas visitor the club is beautiful and the staff are friendly but to my surprise the bistro meals are not up to the standard. The steaks were tough and tasteless, and dry even though they were "medium rare". Multiple steaks ordered were of the same low standard and quality.

As a new member I was blown away today with superb food, service and staff welcome approach.
Congrats 👏 will be back and thanks from an old lady.
We have been almost weekly since last review, food has always been superb.
Until today we both had roast of the day. Very poor, first time food ice cold, second try still cold and food generally not appetising at all.
