you need to update your online menu, your "falafel burger" is now a vegetarian schnitzel burger with different toppings. also tonight (22/12/23) one of your staff members lingered at our table and put their hands on my chair, (which made me uncomfortable) while we were eating our dinner and asked us if we were going to get dessert when we'd barely even started our dinner (i had literally had one bite out of my burger) and she just made us all uncomfortable and feel pressured when we simply wanted to enjoy our meals AND before that, we had already been asked by another worker (who was actually quite lovely) if we were enjoying our meals. i understand that during the holidays times can be very stressful but please do not try to make people feel the need to buy more than they want to

Writing this review so that we can get better table service next time. Though the food was very good ( we always love the food here) , the service was not satisfactory. We came in for Friday night around 745, were standing at the door and waiting to be seated for a good 10-15 mins! There were a lot of empty tables, was not busy at all. We were almost deciding to leave when a staff arrived. They just looked at us, did not use words or gestures and went straight to get menus and went to a table ( we were expected to follow this person), then they gave us the Cutlery in our hand!! They appeared very tired and disinterested and had a blank face (quite rude) throughout the service. The food was delicious and so we took this with a pinch of salt. We are frequent guests and I really hope this doesn't happen again.

When we first arrived it was a nice environment but staff need training no one was around to take us to a table as we were new to this pub went to the bar after standing around when they saw us for 5 to 10 minutes and asked if we could sit anywhere and if we could have a menu after that we just sat there and 20 minutes later no menu not everyone wants to order over the phone it's good to have some kind of customer service as that's part of the reason we go out or I would just go to a Drive-thru I was getting hungry so I had to go back to the bar to get a menu 😑 it was lunchtime not very busy.
Edit. Thought I would give them another try went out for dinner food was terrible was quite surprised how bad it was ask for medium rare steak same as my partner half of the steak was well done other half was rare 🤷 prawns were overcooked/burnt & dry as hell last time I come back.
They have a good setup and kids area price and point system is great 😃 they take afterpay that's the first I've never seen that in a pub 🍻 food was very good 😊👍 you have a choice to order at the bar or online it would be great if they explain that to you when you sit down
Would have been a five-star rating the issue made me feel that it needed two stars..

What an experience this night was. Had booked at another pub for my wife’s birthday. Turned up, reservation lost, misplaced whatever. It didn’t matter. We thought the night was ruined before we phoned Hotel HQ and spoke with Jess. She couldn’t have been any more understanding and accommodating.
We arrived no more than ten minutes later, had a table set and waiting for us as well as a couple garlic breads. Suffice to say, we had amazing meals and will certainly be back for those parmi’s which were exemplary.
I’ll be sure to tell everyone about our experience here and thanks to everyone for making wifey’s night truly memorable for all the right reasons!

Went for dinner to try out somewhere new recently, all the staff were friendly except the manager of the restaurant, older larger lady. Extremely rude and so passive aggressive, couldn’t understand why she was so rude from the second I ordered. Won’t be back as a result.

We had a large group from steak, to pasta, to salads, burger, chicken and desserts. Atmosphere was fine and meals were a good size. The timeframe with the arrival of the meals took a while. It was a given with the size of the group, but could have been better
However ordering food by scanning the barcode on the table made it easy to make our choices and make our individual payments.

We got there at 1130 after checking times etc which stated 1130-1400 by the time we got seated it was almost 1230, there were alot of people lined up already, everything was going well, got first round of food, which i selected the cold food being seafood it was all delicious.
We then went back for hot food and salads, just sat down to enjoy our food and continue catchi g up with friends and a server came over and told us we had to leave now, we asked why and he said your session is over, i explained to him the website states 1130-1400, he said " take it up with google" what the hell. We said we just got food, he said you have 5 mins to finish and get out" so considering the first plate consisted of 6 mussels, 6 prawns, 1 scoop seafood salad, definately not worth the 45 or so dollars i was charged person, i see other reviewers paid 35 so maybe i got charged for the forthcoming attitude from the young male cleaning plates off the tables, not sure but will not be returning. Felt sorry for the young couple and their parents who had just attended and sat down to eat who also were told it was their problem for attending at the time they did, " obviously like us they believed they had until 1400" they didnt even get to finish their first plate yet i bet they were still charged full price.
We also overheard 2 staff members discussing someones booking and laughing that these people would only have 30 mins to eat and that it would be their problem for booking at that time, yet i believe not one of them advised the customer, they did have a good laugh though.

We got the Chicken Burger with Chips, and it was delicious. Great value for money being one of the lunch dishes. The service and atmosphere was good as well as the beer on tap. Parking was easy, and we got seated and looked after straight away.
Will definitely be back again.

The food here is absolutely stunning. Best Yorkies in Brisbane. And the charming Head Chef was lovely too.

Thank you to the Team at HQ the food was EPIC and so delicious. The staff were kind, friendly and went out of their way to make our lunch very enjoyable. Shout out to the chef who made the most amazing Yorkshire puddings ever which were AMAZING. Would definitely eat there again. Great value for money and nice size meals. Thanks again to ALL STAFF. 👍

Saturday night we had a function here and it was so amazing! Right from the beginning it has been great from making the booking, ordering the food and then the showing up on the night to enjoy every bit of it. The food was so delicious, the staff were amazing, vibing and so friendly. We have found our new function venue for all of our events!

Our food was absolutely delish! Hubby had the pork, which was juicy and properly cooked. I had pumpkin soup and lamb ribs, yummmm!

Open spacious clean pub. Staff are on the ball. I nice view out the front. Didn't try the food but it looked good

Nice food. Some wear and tear on our table. I thought the price was on the higher side for a lunch. In the end , our lunch was good. Steak, and calamari topper. We will return again. Cheers.

Lunch to die for! My Asian Salad with Prawns was so delicious I almost forgot to take a photo! Gary had a 250 gram steak with red wine jus and said best steak he's ever had. So tender, it melted in your mouth! Then the dessert specials were heavenly. Made on the premises, which is so refreshing for a hotel restaurant (most order them in from suppliers). We had one of each and they were so fresh and the flavours were a delight. Definitely will go back. Our compliments to the chefs. Great job!💚😊💚

Just had an amazing lunch, Jess, the manager, was very welcoming, and the food by English chef was top-notch. Fresh ingredients, bursting flavors, and a relaxed atmosphere made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

I was extremely impressed with my lunch special meal! They're generous in their servings and the food is presented so beautifully 😍😍 the service was remarkable from both the cashier and chef! I will definitely be coming back!

I'm writing this review to acknowledge a staff member that has thoroughly impressed me. One of the bartenders, Chris, is personable, kind and is effortlessly efficient at her job. She knows her craft and consistently mixes the perfect drink no matter the order. Hospitality staff like Chris give a place a soul and set it apart from the rest.

Have dined here dozens of times & most times it's been really impressive (their burgers are usually amazing!l) BUT we dined on a Monday & we're so disappointed! The steak sandwich had the tiniest piece of meat on it. The excess bread was totally devoid of any flavour ie not even toasted, or had any butter or condiments or anything on it- yuck! To add insult to injury, both the steak sandwich AND the burger my partner ordered came out cold. No no room temp but cold. Did we complain? No. No-one was around & we were so hungry & short of time, we scoffed & ran. Now usually the duty manager would be there and always come over & ask if all was good. But on this occasion he was not there & it seemed the staff were all too tired or could not be bothered w anything. So my 4 star rating is only high due to previous experiences there. If I was rating on the last visit alone I would rate the HQ a 1.

Great location. Great atmosphere. Great range of products at amazing prices. The 250g rump steak was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes was amazing and the vegetables were perfect. The mushroom sauce was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tidy

Great dining experience! Food was great, tasty and well presented. The staff were incredible, so friendly, helpful, and nothing was too much to ask of them. Will definitely be going back!

Food was not able to keep up with the amount of people, not enough plates for everyone, so it was best to hand onto you old plate. No where near enough staff, overall very poor organisation.

First visit to Hotel HQ in Underwood. It looked nice and spacious inside, with outside seating options too. We were seated next to the kids play room so no prizes for guessing where the boy disappeared to!
Our order:
* 250g rump steak, $27 - Thousand Guineas Shorthorn, 150 days grain fed, marble score 2+ MSA graded beef with chips & salad, dianne sauce
* market fish, $27 - roast chat potatoes, crisp pancetta, almonds, green beans, carrot puree & mustard cream
* build your own kids meal $6 - cheese pasta, chips & broccoli, mayo
Gotta say that this is probably the best value kids meal we've come across, and with a good variety of options including vegetables too. I don't think the cheese pasta itself was fantastic choice, but it was the boy's pick and as long as he ate some veg along with it...
The adults enjoyed their respective meals - wifey the steak, me the fish. The steak was cooked fairly well, as was my salmon, which included some nice crispy skin. I wasn't a fan of the pancetta but enjoyed all the other elements on the plate. Overall a pretty decent bistro and a potential revisit option.

Don’t dress up with a nice hat at this venue went with friends to lunch and the no hat dress code was not mentioned until after an hour after our arrival. Very embarrassing to be told by a staff member to remove in front of customers so I politely asked if I could remove in the bathroom area to make my hair look ok. We would have gone elsewhere if told on arrival

Birthday dinner. Staff fabulous, courteous and friendly. Food was awesome. We ordered Herb and Garlic bread. Tasty. Mum ordered the Lady Lamb fingers. Filo rolls of deliciousness. I ordered the main Salt and Pepper Calamari. OMG, wow. I should've ordered the starter lol. It was brilliant. I did finish but couldn't go for dessert 😫 😩. Always next time.
