We had lunch here today and the food was amazing! The service was fantastic and the gentleman that greeted us was also very helpful. I am so glad that we stopped in for a toilet stop it turned into an amazing experience. Thanks guys and we will be back again for sure.

We had a birthday dinner here tonight and the food was exceptional…. My partner and I had rump steak and chicken parmigiana both with chips and salad.
The service we received from our waitress was exceptional, she was polite, prompt and very friendly.. we did tell the chef she needs a pay rise.
Will gladly recommend this place and will be back.

We attended a business NSW Breakfast at the Metropole today... I didn't know that a pub could do such a good brekky - and the function room was spot on as well. What a surprisingly great breakfast venue!

Thursday night this is the place to be.
Full seating area for food, but managed to get a table.
Dinner was incredible, cooked perfectly. Chips were golden and the beef brisket was to die for.
Seven mile beers from Ballina which is a big plus.
But yeah, can’t recommend the new kitchens food enough. Will definitely make this a regular stop for dinner outings 👌🏻

This place was recommended to us by family, who are locals. We are so glad we went here!
The staff were exceptional in every aspect. At least four staff members whom we had interaction with, really went above and beyond each time. They were extremely friendly, very attentive, and patient. Staff provided a lot of help to us upon our requests.
We ordered the Surf and Turf, which was cooked to perfection, and the prawn sauce was extremely delicious! We also ordered the Schnitzel with chips and salad. The schnity melted in my mouth and was so fresh. We also ordered a pizza to takeaway, which was a hit with my family.
The atmosphere was warm and fun. The bathrooms were very clean.

The service was great. The staff at the bistro lovely and friendly.
Maybe the bar guys need to work on being friendlier especially to people not from the area.
The food tastes great.
But my only disappointment was that for $45 dollars, my steak was underwhelming. It was a small serving and was actually dry even thought it was meant to be cooked rare.
But overall I would eat there again just for the environment.

The metropole at Lismore is one where you should tread cautiously. A some what fairly priced pub feed unfortunately falls short in the service department. The service staff are quick to question local patrons who choose to stay longer than 8pm. One who would choose to kick people out before they had finished their purchased drinks. The arrogance displayed was nothing short of a narcissistic. Fortunately the food was cooked to an acceptable pub standard. The service lead to a forgettable experience.

The Met is the best place in Lismore to have a drink. With a revolving series of entertainment, fresh bands and great DJS. Not to forget they most friendly bar staff in the region plus great pub food. They have an upstairs cocktail bar that kills as well.
Don’t miss trivia on a Thursday night, lots of fun.
The Met was the first place to reopen after the flood and did the community a solid.
A plus venue.

Sunday, very quiet. Salmon was good, very large plateful! Service quick, friendly, helpful staff. Recommend this place for a meal.

New chef is unbelievably good. Everyone loved the food & my father in law said it was probably the best steak he's ever had.
The chef even made the same meals but used egg alternatives for my partner since our breastfed baby is allergic 👏
Staff are excellent and the venue itself is stunning. Highly recommend.

My family and I went for a Sunday lunch and prepared to spend some money for a nice lunch together. This is what we got. Over cooked fatty $34 dollar steak. Reheated bolognaise that was tasteless and the menu says with reggiano cheese. We got packet cheese not shaved sliced. You think for the price it would be freshly sliced reggiano.
Dry kids frozen cheese burger patty. Unfortunately we won’t return here for a feed. Go to the Sherwood as the price point is the same and day and night in food quality

LOVE this place. Staff are awesome! Downstairs front area could do with a bit of jazzing up. In the right weather the cocktails on the rooftop are awesome. Trivia is lots of fun & the couches are comfy.
I love that they showcase local art in the hallway. Food was good.

Lovely pub with rooftop and garden terrace. Food was fab. Miso salmon poke bowl was perfect. Kids steak and chips got a 9.5/10. Carbonara 7/10 from hubby. All in all a lovely experience.

It’s nice, the staff is great, and the rooftop bar and cocktails are always enjoyable.
But got a $30 steak that was 35% fat and gristle. I know that meat has been getting expensive lately, but come on, just give me a smaller steak, don’t put garbage on my plate.
I also had an eggplant parmesan and the eggplant was all chewy and didn’t seem like it was cooked properly.
I’m sad to be making this review, as the staff really are wonderful. But you shouldn’t go here for dinner. But defs go for mojitos on the rooftop bar on a hot day.

I can only comment on the bar and entertainment at the time, live jazz band, which was sensational! We walked into an empty bar, jazz playing and from nowhere they came....at least 70 people, probably more! People were up dancing, drinking, eating. It had a fantastic vibe, and the crowd was really enjoying the music and company. Loved it all.

Good food, bit slow service on the Monday but that could have been due to new staff. Haven't been in the pub since before the floods. Really well done up.

Food was delicious and the staff kept our table cleared of glasses and empty plates. Very noisy but that's to be expected at a pub.

Foods decent, service is great, beers cold and the bar staff both male and female are courteous and helpful. Good menu for a country pub and well worth a look.

Blown away by the quality of the meals here considering majority of businesses and homes are still under repair. Both the bar and the kitchen staff/chef were amazing, food fresh and although the venue was busy I barely waited for my dish that I can honestly say is a cut above most other pubs i’ve been to. I’ll be back for dinner tomorrow.

Big Shout Out to the Met and the people of Lismore. This pub was under water to the rooftop in 2022 and looking at it now it's hard to believe how they have recovered and restored this lovely pub. The space is well fitted out with lots of options to drink and dine-indoors, garden or rooftop.
The food menu is varied, should suit all tastes and the food is great, well presented. Finally everyone of the staff we encountered went out of their way to ensure we had a great time.

Awesome bar in Lismore. Currently it is the only bar open with the rooftop area. They had a big shipment of drinks arrive yesterday which is great to see considering every other business is still closed with flood damage.

$17.50 for 8 pieces of calamari. WOW
No chips, few pieces rocket and two tiny bonus pieces of orange slice.
This is Lismore not Melbourne!!
