Yuk venue. Got to the bistro 15 minutes before our booking and the staff walked around us like we didn't exist. Yuck smell, layout food and staff.

We were one of the first groups in. A waitress came over after about 5 minutes to order drinks. We asked about ordering food and she said she will do the drink first. No one return for a further 15 minutes after that to take our food order, yet they were casually chatting amongst themselves across the otherside of the room. Meal prices have gone up quiet a lot. $40+ for steaks, $36 for calamari ect. $258 for 7 of us with 3 of those ordering the $24 seniors meals. Over priced now for a bistro meal. Food was above average in the end. Nothing wrong with the meals if they were the old prices, but not exceptional either for the increased prices now.

We went there on Father’s Day, and obviously it was at capacity. However, the staff were bright and happy, and very polite. The meals were delivered in a timely manner, and the food was brilliant. A big ask on such a busy day. The staff who worked the tables get a special mention, the were fantastic! Keeps me coming back, thank you Hotel 520!

We’ve held an intimate engagement party here along with our bridesmaids and groomsmen at one of their smaller sized function rooms. We’re so grateful for Jen! She was sooo easy to work with! The planning was so smooth and it was so easy to connect with her - that really helped bring my “vision” of the whole engagement party set up come to life! I brought in the decors that I wanted; balloons, fresh flowers and our customised menus on the day and she’s just so hands on throughout the whole set up!
This place just ticked all of our boxes! The food was amazing and plenty!! We ordered some antipasto for starters and there was plenty for everyone to share! You really get your money’s worth. Our guests also complimented how friendly all of the staff were! It was just such a great experience overall 🤍 Would Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back for future events!

Went for my daughters birthday, they took the cake and when they brought it out it was on a beautiful platter with the candles lit and they all sung happy birthday to her. We had a great night, great food and super fun at the trivia.

We highly recommend Hotel 520 for any function, be it in a formal setting at the Aurora Room or in a more relaxed and informal setting at the Social Room. We had three functions at Hotel 520 between April 2023 and January 2024 for our daughter’s Engagement party, Pre-wedding function and Happily Ever After party. We were very impressed with the food, service and decorations provided to us at each function. All the staff we have dealt with have been very helpful.
We would specifically like to thank Jenni, the Function Co-ordinator, who was extremely helpful, cheerful and accommodating with all our requests and responded almost immediately to our emails/phone calls. Jenni also introduced us to James, the in-house DJ, who provided us with great music to the point where our guests did not want to get off the dance floor. Our sincere thanks to Jenni, James and the Hotel 520 team for giving us three very memorable functions.

Venue is nice but food is pricey and not great... had wagyu beef parma which was dry and very chewy, the veges were a pile of cauliflower, a few bits of carrot and some broccoli, all just dumped on the plate with the parma thrown on top... very ordinary for $36

The staff here is amazing. Had a tiny wedding ceremony at this location and the staff went out of their way to make it so special. They decorated the room and made up special menus and signs that made everything so personalized.They served us a fantastic 3 course meal with champange and mixed drinks. The servers and hosts were so kind and accommodating. The food was very good and the venue was perfect. I wish that i could give them 6 stars!!!!

Thank you very much for an amazing service. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. the food was delicious and very affordable. It made our son’s Baptism a truly memorable experience

Service was good and friendly. No cider on tap. My salmon was a little overcooked, and the wife's parma had a tomato paste rather than a bolognaise sauce. S&P calamari entree was nice. Overall, it was an enjoyable night out.

My Wife and I had our wedding reception in the Aurora room at Hotel 520. The service, professionalism and care shown by Jenni, Julie and the team at Hotel 520 was amazing.
They catered for all our needs the service on the night for meals and drinks was exceptional. Nothing is too hard for Hotel 520 and they treat everyone with respect and class.
I implore anyone who is looking to have a wedding reception to consider Hotel 520 as they are the very best in terms of facilities and service.
Thank you again to all the team at Hotel 520 for making it a night so special.

Mummy daughter date night!
We came in with only 15 mins to spare before end of service. Ashleigh was amazing - she didn’t make a fuss she took our order checked in on us to make sure we were good. Just so friendly and attentive never made us feel rushed it was such a pleasant experience. Even after the kitchen service had ended Ashleigh made us a desert!!! YUMM Thank you so much for helping to make our date night great with yummy food and brilliant customer service 🙌

Just had my Daughter's Engagement Party with Dave tonight & the Staff from the get go have been absolutely amazing..Food..? was exceptional... special mention to Jenny, who organised everything & Casey who ran the Bar & was an absolute machine 👊😊

I had my nephews 21st birthday here in the function room and the outcome was nothing short of amazing. I was so nervous planning it all but Jenni had everything covered! From the food to the decorations, to seating to everything in between with entertainment and all! We had so much food which we they gave us to take home. The photobooth was a hit! Their staff was so helpful from start to end. We are planning our next 21st now. All events will be here from now on 🙌🏽

I had my daughter's 21st birthday there it was amazing the staff were fantastic the food was amazing and plenty of it so worth the money I recomend have ur next function there U will not be disappointed amazing i can't thank U enough for everything, the room looked fantastic to Jenny and all the staff I wish I could name U all thank U we had the best night

Highly recommend having a function at Hotel 520. The staff are amazing. Jen is an amazing organiser. She made sure everything was perfect. All the staff was amazing. Super friendly and helpful.

Have been here for dinner and lunch many times. Reasonably priced. Always tasty food. Service always good. Good drink discounts if you are a member

Great night out for our rugby club trivia night. A very enjoyable night out in a worm and comfortable environment.

Great menu! Service is prompt and staff wereel friendly and willing to accommodate with a smile and also all were very knowledgeable about menu items and what was available. The venue itself was great, spacious and vibrant with ok decor. The menu and chef specials were displayed around to easily note.
Ordering was a breeze and very quick. Meals were also very quick. With a seperate gaming area and sports bar and attached bottlo , there's no need to have to go elsewhere as it's all in the one place! Plenty of parking and easy to navigate in the car to its location also :)

Great Atmosphere, Fun for all Ages, Great for Function Hire & Indoor Playground for kids. Variety of Cocktails so far I've had 3 from the menu and they are Delicious ❤️ Chefs Special always on Point with many Mains to Choose from. Kids Meal came with a Free Drink & Dessert❤️Senior Menu Available. Staff are Friendly & welcoming with fast Service. Don't forget the Tip Jar for Awesome Customer Service❤️❤️

Dreambuilders church ladies Group had a luncheon there. The table was beautifully decorated, the food was wonderful.

Came for lunch today 16th June, service was brilliant. The lady who looked after us named Bronwyn was ex ceptional and super with our 3 year old grand daughter. Real great service.

Calamari chips and salad was yeah nah. Not sure it's a go to, on the day was hungry and it was there. No apologies, put some effort into your food and increase the size of the meal to a good feed. Hanks but no thanks. 3/10

Attended a private function on the weekend. The venue was nice & security & bar staff seemed friendly. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

After the being bitterly disappointed by the Phoenix Hotel earlier in the evening,we celebrated my sons Birthday and my own at Hotel 520(we're the same day).We both ate the Grill Plate (mixed grill) with chips and salad,with a couple schooners of beer.Food was great,staff & service is top notch.Do your self a favour visit this Hotel,Love it.
