Was travelling through with the family and dog and wanted a nice pub meal..called the owner and he said no worries come down. Was confused as it wasn't dog friendly I think but was made to feel at home. Got us a seat, ordered some cold beers and none of us could finish our meals. All were delicious !! If you want a nice pub with classic hearty meals I can't recommend Kelly's Irish enough. Thanks for having us and our chocolate lab coco ! Fish and chicken and pasta were all 10/10 cudos to the chef.

Visited Jack Duggans after reading a glowing review.
Friendly young bloke on the till taking our order.
2 had the Twice Cooked Pork Belly [32] with roast Pumpkin and a Summer salad.
Never seen PB so thick, perfectly cooked, with a fantastic salad consisting of mixed leaf, mango, apple and pear.
It was outstanding.
The other 2 had Lamb Stew [28] with garlic bread.
Both highly impressed and satisfied.
Great lunch.

Very disappointed to visit a great little pub with what seemed like an excellent menu to wait 45 minutes for a no show on the meal after seeing other patrons getting theirs before us having ordered after. This was ok till the server decided to be combative about how long it took, No communication about the wait at all. Still not ready when I asked for my money back. All that was need was a check in and reassurance for the wait.

Traditional Irish pub atmosphere. Delicious food, generous size serves. Staff are extra friendly and professional. Extensive menu including the best Guiness Pie I've had, as well as other Irish fare. Don't miss it.

They were short staffed and took quite a while to be served. The pint of Guinness went down a treat but the curry meal of the day was not heated though just Luke warm and fairly plain tasting. The cook must be cutting back on expenses by reducing chili and spice. Serves me right for ordering a curry in an Irish pub.

The service was the best. Going above and beyond with any need we had.
The food was delicious. The only problem we had was what to choose. We will have to go back.

The place is large, consisting of multiple areas as you walk through from one side of the street, through to the next adjacent street
Each large area, is enclosed, with one side being the traditional pub I believe, the next section seemed like an extension to the original building, after that it looked like an outside area covered and after that another covered that looked like it had some gates that accessed the street, meaning the whole pub went through from one street right through to the next street, if that makes sense
The atmosphere was cosy, pub lit, meaning reasonably low light but not dark and dingy, more pub themed
I wish I had looked around more to give a better description, but we were there for lunch with little time to spare, so maybe next time I'll add more details, because all 5 in our party said we will certainly go there again
Every meal was enjoyed, nothing was undercooked or overcooked, pretty much exactly as ordered
One of our party has extreme diatry requirements, and needed a very plain meal, that means no sauces, food cooked without butter or most oils in the pan, rice with no extras, not even a single clove, this place handled the request with ease, in fact, they were more concerned with masking sure they got things right, than the inconvenience it might have been in the kitchen coming the food. You would not believe how much some places still carry on about changing a meal to accommodate people, but not this place, it seemed like they thived on giving great service.
As I said, we will be going there again for sure, next time I'll try and write up a more detailed review about the premise itself and the menu

Stopped here when I was blasting through bathurst on my motorcycle. Very accommodating. The guys locked up my bike out the back for the night. Awesome place. Great food, I stopped by once before when I was riding through and staying at a motel down the road. I had a steak last time a schitty this time. TOP NOTCH pub grub. Cool, old-school Irish atmosphere, weird, comical Irish music playing in the background mixed in with some Aussie classics. Great, friendly, chatty locals. Cute bar girl. Guys couldn't be more helpful organising me a very reasonably priced room and securing my motorcycle for the night. This place has it all. I'll be back next time I'm blasting through.

Stopped for lunch on a cold winter day. Great spot for a meal and a Guinness. Lamb stew hit the spot!

Sensational food. Perfectly seasoned, hearty and appropriately portioned. Exactly what you want from an Irish Pub
Well priced too
Very friendly and attentive staff
Would recommend for people who don’t live in the area but need a reliable lunch feed

Popped in for an evening meal and a pint of Guinness. Had the Guinness pie mash n mushy peas, excellent. Guinness on tap, which was great too, barman was a legend. Highly recommend.

Party of 3 called in for dinner. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. We had 3 meals, a steak, pork belly and the stew and the food was fantastic. Service was good with people checking on us and our meals. Really good all round

On a bike trip with my partner. Stopped in at Bathurst for the night. Found this great place after a Google search as looking for somewhere for dinner. We ordered the lamb stew and Guinness pie. They were very nice. Had a few pints of Guinness off tap as well. Went down a treat. Staff were very friendly.
They also had a trivia night which we stayed for (although we didn't go too well) 😂😂😂
Will definitely be back next time we come through.

Lunch on a quiet Friday. The Guinness Pie was absolutely delicious, and the perfect size too.
My partner had a Guinness with his and said it was the best-poured beer he'd ever had.
Thanks to the bar person for excellent service.

Lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff were super helpfull. Food was really delicious. Recommend Duggans share platter. There was enough for 3 hungry people. We will stay there when next in Bathurst. It's right in the middle of town.

Having the chicken and leak pie with my dad who is scoffing down a Guinness pie. Best pub meal I've had for a while. Awesome atmosphere.

Had a visit to this pub on a Friday night. Quick pub grub meal was fine. Well priced. Good bar service. Nice irish feel and decor

Great pub in the middle of town. Was looking for a pub to eat in, so glad we came across this one.
Bar service was awesome, even after all the eftpos machines went down and made more work.
Food was fantastic. Twice cooked pork belly and Jack's beef burger, both great. The summer salad was absolutely fantastic.

Fantastic little pub. Did not use the accommodation.
Excellent food and service and a cracking two piece cover band. Just an acoustic guitar and a viloin but it seemed there was nothing they couldn't play!

Early dinner on a full moon frosty night.
Lamb Shanks (2) with velvety mash, root veges and a sublime gravy.
And, of course schooner of beer.

Best pub ever! Amazing manager and best food! Great drinks and best place I’ve ever stayed for a frisbee tournament!!! Will be back every year!

Being Irish, had to visit the Irish pub. Guinness was ok, not great but wouldn’t expect it to be. However saw the Guinness beef pie with mash and ordered it. OMG. I have had that pie all over the world, New York, London and of course Dublin. This is hands down the best Guinness beef pie I’ve ever had. Who would have thought. Amazing. Would definitely drive all the way to Bathurst again just for the pie

A great pub. Wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a great beer while relaxing to Irish music while enjoying some great food grub. The Publican and chef were very accommodating serving us a late lunch, thanks guys!?

After a bit of a hiatus from Jack Duggans, we thought we’d give it a go again. We were not disappointed, looks like the current proprietors have worked hard to get the Irish feel back into the place, they have succeeded! The Irish music playing in the background was fab, made your feet tap, the food was was fab too! Irish curry & chips, braised beef & colcannon was delicious. Generous portions, reasonably priced. Will defo be back and be spreading the word ☘️ ☘️ 🇮🇪🇮🇪
