What’s the best in this pub is food!!! I have been here on the way to central coast, and always satisfied with food. We had Banger and creamed prawns this time, and found us happier with delicious pub meal.
What’s disappointing in their service though. The order didn’t come out at the same time so I finished mine first then my hubby received his. I saw another table with 8-9 guests who all received their order separately with 5-10 minutes apart. Not a good function, looked like.
Also it was a bit crowded for a Monday dinner time as they are having renovation. Not very organised and relaxed atmosphere. Hopefully it will get better when it finishes.

We went for lunch as a bike group
The place was really busy but the food came out super quick and was really tasty

We visited last night & fully satisfied is an understatement. The food was extremely tasty , service definitely friendly, atmosphere was on point, cocktails delicious & the food selection was above all impressive.
We live 45 mins away but shared a meal with my parents who are closer and we will definitely travel there again for a feed!!

Well done food and friendly service, pleasant view over Hunter Williams junction (wish they had the windows open!) What's not to enjoy? Fresh local oysters were delicious, too.

We had Mother's Day Lunch and Dinner at the Junction Inn, food was hot, fresh and great as usual. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was fast even though the place was packed. Amazing place with good views. Craig

We had a small function on Friday lunch. Lovely venue looking across at the river. All food consumed was delightful especially the Pot pie. Will come again.

We always love coming to the Junction Inn for lunch. Mother's Day has the potential to be a messy affair, but it was all well organised and well planned. The food, and service are always spot on and I really like that you can book online. Consistency is the word. The meals are always the same which is important - you know what you are getting.

The Junction Inn Hotel is a busy, vibrant venue in which to enjoy some excellent food and river views. Kudos to the friendly, helpful staff. An enjoyable Thursday lunch.

Superb. Well priced and awesome meals. Staff are excellent. Doesn’t matter how busy they are the food and service is consistent. Look forward to visiting again.

Netty. Was. Here. All Stonegrill lovers will have heard about this place. For decades the Junction Inn Hotel has been serving the classical dish along side its standard menu. All day Wednesday you’ll enjoy the stonegrill for $28. Brilliant!
The day I came in to treat myself; as recommended by bar staff, was the grilled chicken stack. They weren’t wrong, the dish was impressive, in size and taste! Marinated chicken, with bacon & avo smothered in a hollandaise sauce. I was super surprised by the zesty honey mustard salad dressing which clearly tastes house made!
Taps here you can get the usuals but they also have a great selection of craft beers, wine list and cocktail menu. The dining area will cater to the largest of crowds; which I’m certain they are accustomed too. There is also a tab & gaming area.
But the standout is definitely the views. Don’t take my word for it, come and check it out yourself.
The second best thing (this is definitely not including the stonegrill) is the bar & restaurant staff.. as a nearby local, I felt and was treated like a regular. The down to earth bar tenders and publican is what carry’s this place. Well done to you all! I appreciate your recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed my arvo here.

My wife and I enjoyed a very delicious lunch. Service was very polite and professional. Very clean premises with a view over the river. Will definitely dine here again.

Met up with family on Schnitzel night. Gotta say, up there with the best schnity I have ever eaten and for $20. Heaps of chips and a fresh tasty salad. Absolutely nailed it. Bar and floor staff were friendly and family atmosphere was great. Would recommend the place. Certainly worth the drive. Will be back.

Lunch with a view…Great spot overlooking the Hunter River. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Food for pub food was excellent and meals were pretty big. If your not a big eater like me, I definitely recommending sharing. Will be back again someday.

Lunch was great meals, service was quick and friendly. Meals were large and great taste, lamb roast and bangers with mash and vegetables good flavour.

Lunch inside over looking the river on a great Autumn day, hard to beat. Food and the service, Excellent.The 6 of us had a very Laid-back, enjoyable lunch. We'll be back

It was great to get back to the Junction Inn. My husband and I come for lunch whenever possible from Forster.
This establishment has an excellent atmosphere, the beer is deliciously cold, the service is friendly, the food never disappoints.
Come to the junction inn and be more than welcome and more than happy to come back.

Huge meals and great quality food. We ordered sirloin steak, barramundi and prawns, beef hot pot and kids nuggets. Even the kids meal was generously sized. It was busy but our wait for food wasn’t too long at all. French martini was delicious.

Honestly the best lunch we've had in ages. Fantastic venue, amazing friendly staff and the food .. every meal we ordered was delicious and huge. Highly recommended 👌

Family Friendly, lovely atmosphere, plenty of seating, great selection of Bistro meals. I had the Salmon Steak with Caesar salad. Beautifully cooked, fresh ingredients. Just enough - But I couldn’t resist the sweet potato chips with aioli sauce and salt

Definitely a great place to eat with family and friends. The food is delicious 🤤 and we got crackling with our pork roast meal. Very happy! Your roast is not on your list below my daughter and partner had the ribs and they were cook so well delicious.

Celebrating a birthday with a group as were many there. Enjoyed the lunch of grilled barramundi w prawns. The thing that struck me was how pleasant every staff member was. It made the lunch that much better to have that exceptional service.

Best Hotel in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Views are magic over looking the Hunter River, Food is sensational and plenty of parking and seating. After eating there is a walking path down to the bridge where you can see historical buildings like thr Newcastle Swimming Centre. Highly recommend.

Apr-22: thks place is still awesome, very busy on the Easter weekend. Drinks are about the same price but the food has gone up a little bit in price (but still good value). Stone grill tenderloin is still fantastic and I liked my freshwater Barramundi. Highly recommended eating here.
Sep-20: Get the stone grill. We went on Thursday night ($15 pizza special night, and a table of 10 all had the tenderloin stone grill. I would highly recommend the stone grill... The wine pours are generous too, and the tempranillo Grenache was a good recommendation. The chicken and bacon pizza was good whilst hot, but became very heavy as it cooled down, definately share the pizza and don't tackle it by yourself, there is too much topping.
