What a great pub, to visit for dinner on a Friday night.
Try the crumbed lamb with Diane sauce and either chips and salad, or the mash and veggies, you won't be disappointed.
Don't forget to give Freddie a little treat too, he's a very friendly little guy.

We were there with 20 people my partner & I ordered our meals about the middle of the group, I ordered rissoles thinking it would be a quick meal to prepare our meals came out last & you expect mashed potato, vegetables & gravy with rissoles mine came out with salad & chips I had to ask for gravy.

We stayed in the recreation grounds and decided to eat at the pub. So glad we did. The food was reasonably priced, lovely and fresh. Staff and new owners were extremely friendly and encourage people to talk and share stories. There is a fire inside and a big fire pit outside as well. Highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner. We had such a lovely evening, it was hard to leave 🤣

We loved everything about this place, right down to the pillows and linen in unit 2. Amazing place. Thank you. We will definitely be back.

We camped down at the Recreation area and had our meals at the Tavern. Friendly service and great food. Enjoyed our stay here will be back. Didn't find anything valuable fossicking but did find some interesting things.

Very friendly, clean place. Food excellent, waited for a bit but we'll worth the wait. Food size was enough to feed an army. Wonderful rooms, clean neat. Amazing decor. Highly recommend dropping in if travelling through. Be prepared for the price with the stay, prices are high for the area, could be better priced.

Such a hidden treasure... A really love place to stop for a chat/beer & meal. Staff very friendly and food was absolutely AMAZING! Basic meals... but the best because they are done so well. We will be visiting again soon.

So friendly. Beds, showers and rooms are great with microwave, plates etc. Post office, fuel and groceries available. Food is delicious and plentiful, and beer is cold - everything you could want.

Pulled in late arvo with van. Ended up dining & having a few drinks & staying where we pulled up. Top meal, super friendly newish owners trying hard to get ahead. Fab big fire onsite , plenty in & out supporting them. Thoroughly recommend…

Pulled in just in time to watch an incredible country sunset, down some delicious ginger beer on tap and an enjoy an epic Thursday night Chicken Parmy feast. Quirky country decor, delicious and generously served meals, and to our warm and funny host Pete, a big thumbs up from our whole family. Enjoyed a game of pool and some friendly local chats, and had a short and easy walk to our camp for the night. 6 out of 5 stars from us.

Pork chops were delicious. The camp behind the tavern was busy but was nice as well.

Owner/manager went out of his way to accommodate our small group. Great friendly hospitality. Nice meals too

Nice pub with very good food & fuel.& Staff are friendly too. Be sure to call in if passing by. Camping is available nearby too inquire at pub. AAA+

Needed a secure, clean and not far from the main drag room for a night. Karara Tavern and Motel ticked all the boxes.
On site food looked good. 👌 Staff were accommodating and friendly.

I stayed here last night. The rooms were modest but comfortable. Free water bottles in the fridge and biscuits for the tea in the morning 😋.
The staff were very friendly. Outside was an open fire to keep warm while I had a unique bangers and mash. I highly recommend it!.
In the morning I had what was honestly one of the best egg and bacon and cheese rolls for I’ve ever had.
This place was great. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff.
A great place to bring the family for dinner or to stay at for accommodation as I did.

Great overnight stop either camping or a very good room with bathroom for $100 per night. Dinner was well above average standard pub fare. Would definitely go back

Great low key country pub. We both had a burger. Very tasty. Other customers also complemented the cook on their meals.

Great food and price. I ate here for 3 nights and was not disappointed even once (lamb shank, pork ribs, steak). The Karara Gold is worth a try 👌
Update: A year later and it's still great. The steak was done to a perfect rare, really hit the spot. Apple pie went down well too.

Good old fashioned pub, friendly service and good atmosphere. Food was nice and very well priced.

Fantastic little place to stop had a few beers and a yarn with Pete the owner the room was clean and comfortable would highly recommend to anyone passing through don’t run the risk of hitting a roo there are heaps !!
He also has really good beef jerky and other small goods

Came out for a few days detecting, room was fine! But the best part was the meal, this place has a better menu than my local 110%
Left a day early due to heat. With I could of stayed for another meal, will be there next time

Bought some acreage 3ks away from the local pub. We needed to sites where the house will be positioned so booked into this pub for a room and dinner.
Bloody 'ell the room styling was thought through for the space. The price was very impressive too and we had all we needed for the night.

Awesome place to stay . Loved our room the bed was really comfortable. Our room was nice and clean and was lovely to walk into just a shame there was no Tv reception so we couldn’t watch anything. Richard was fantastic and very helpful and staff were very polite. Our meals were so delicious as well . All over was a great stay and will definitely be back

Authentic country pub with hospitality to match, awesome decorations inside and great pricing, you leave there feeling like you shoudl have paid more for your tucker thats how good it is. One of the best meals I have had that wasn't $120 per person. ice cold beer and great hospitality i wish it was my local.
