We stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The venue was lovely and the staff are nice. They just need to improve their hotel admin. I booked months ahead and they lost my reservation, then put us in a room and then gave someone else a key to our room by mistake (lucky they were our friends!). But a lovely place

We ordered the vegetarian option sweet potato cauliflower and feta burger. No cauliflower. (Coles is next door) sweet potato was extremely dry and tasteless. Bun was dry and crisp. The fries were in a tiny bucket not very full and thumb indent in burger not appealing. Served on a tiny plate. Not recommended

We ordered off the lunch special menu and it was so good we plan to come back again tomorrow. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. The food was so good especially those chips they were the crunchiest chips I've had in a long time.

We ordered Nachos and Chicken burgers, both tasted very good. Just a shame that Nachos was not prepared as entrée, as we had asked for.

We have been to this pub at least 12 times and we typically have enjoyed the experience however the lady who served us at the bistro at lunchtime today is extremely rude. This is now the second time she has served us and we have had the same experience with her both times. Both times she has seemed as though we are inconveniencing her when she serves us and we have paid for sauces and they have been missed. When we return to ask for them politely she has a terrible attitude and seems annoyed. She did the same thing to my mother on a separate occasion. She is super friendly to people she knows. I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt the first time because I thought she was having a bad day but when the same thing happened today I couldn’t ignore it. Also we ordered a rare steak and as you can see from the photo it was far from it. Had the service not been so terrible today I would not have said anything.

Travelled to Mudgee for work and passing this Irish pub I knew right away that's where I was going after work. Everything fulfilled my expectations. Amazing food, great beer, nice pub.

Three stars is for service only. I'm sorry to say that the meals bought for lunch today have been the worst I've since being on holidays in the Mudgee area. Purchased was a salt and pepper calamari to share with my wife which tasted like it had been taken out of the freezer and not cooked for long enough, also purchased was Kelly's Beef Burger where the chips were very similar to the calamari, and the hamburger bun itself was dry and inedible. We also bought a Cottage Pot Pie which was fine. Service was very good, and we didn't have to wait long for the food, however this was a disappointing experience at Kelly's and initially we were going to go back for dinner, however after trying their food, I could not recommend them nor would I be going back there just to be disappointed again. It's possible that the cook was having an off day, but the place wasn't that busy and I'm just not prepared to hand over my money again for something of the quality I've had today.

This place is awesome! The Scotch fillet was a perfect medium rare and the chips were amazing (I'd get another bowl of fries next time I go to Kelly's), I really enjoyed the generous fish and chips. The wines recommended by Kelly herself were a Stein Riesling (for the fish and chips) and Shiraz by Black (for the steak). The Shiraz was so good we picked up a couple on our way out. The wines are priced about the same as what you would pay at the cellar door (between $0 - $2 per bottle), so if you wanted to pick up some wines after the cellar doors closed or didn't have time to do the cellar doors then the wine shop is a great bet! Thank you so much for the recommendations and hospitality Kelly!

This is the first time we had been to Mudgee and we found the best pub by far straight away. The hospitality shown to us by all the staff and especially Ned the publican at Kelly's Irish Pub was amazing. We had the best weekend and can't thank them all enough for a fantastic weekend. Great job guys keep the country spirit going with your awesome hospitality. And thanks again for making us feel so welcome .

The pub is very nice and cosy. Though the food is not as good as I expected. I had steak, salad and chips (wed special). The steak was too burnt. Mushroom sauce has a strange taste to it. Abit sour as if the gravy is off? Chips was over cooked and old. While the salad is not fresh. I didn't eat much it. The price is considered cheap, so is okay overall. I had OJ, is refreshing and relaxing to have a break at the pub after along drive. 3 stars for the food.

Stopped in twice on visit to mudgee atmosphere was good both times, they had large screen showing sports, staff were friendly and professional. Has a play area inside and out for the kids. I did ordered the american cheese burger which was a let down. The meat paddy was soft and mushy tasted like cheap frozen meat, im also sure that the pickles were sliced cucumber. The chip were ok the 10 I was served. They have a wide range of dribks to suit all.

Stopped at the pub for lunch on the way to Coonabarabran from Sydney. The food was good and not expensive. We had the beef burgers and the schnitzel. Food was pretty good, no complaints. Staff was friendly. Relaxed atmosphere.

Really awful food. One of the worst pub meals we've had. Salmon floating in oil, mashed potato appeared to be blended so it was like a glue paste and cauliflower tacos were dry yet oily and burnt. The soft tacos snapped rather than bended they were so dry. We were very hungry but left nearly all of our food as it was inedible. Fine for a Guinness but do not eat here.

Ordered lunch at 2pm (2.30 cut off) waited until 2.45 to see where lunches were that didn’t arrive to be told “oh that order didn’t make it to the kitchen” - no apology or offer to still make it - just a refund offered. Now to be left to try and find somewhere suitable to eat in Mudgee at 3pm! Also gentleman behind with the same experience! Extremely poor for a Tuesday which is not a busy day! Would not try it again! Shame as the pub atmosphere seemed ok!

My wife and I stopped over in Mudgee for the night and visited Kelly’s Irish Pub for dinner. The atmosphere is great, service is wonderful and the choice of meals is staggering. The pub is well patronised and has separate areas for the services offered, so you’re not eating next to pokies, or in the main bar. They have a kids room. Overall the pub is welcoming and a great place to eat.

Lovely spot up on the Balcony Bar watching the sunset. Great Chicken Parmigiana! We will definitely be coming back to this Pub next time we are in Mudgee.

Interesting place that I found a bit hit and miss. A wide selection of beer and wine is available (over 200 choices it is claimed). While Guinness is on tap, I didn't see any other Irish beers. The place has a meandering structure although I found the Irish atmosphere rather compromised by the country music being played. The staff were friendly and professional. The food in the bistro was a mixed bag. I had a Beef and Guinness pie with mash and peas. The pie and mash was fine. The peas were a disgrace. I could have used them in a BB gun! The other dish tried was rump steak. While it was good as were the vegetables the potato bake was utterly flavourless. It could have been cardboard.

If home had a liquor liscence and a gourmet menu, this would be the place. Always wonderful to be home even better when family doesn't have to cook and be welcomed by old friends and the community. Walk in customers tonight and even with multiple bookings for events the staff were (as always) welcoming and homely, food and service was impeccable and security staff after dark were professional, friendly and assisted elderly family members with mobility issues without hesitation. Local produce in the wine bar was amazing and allowed us to take the taste of home back home and supporting local producers. Dare I say this is the heart of town or at minimum staffed by the biggest hearts of the town. Can't express enough how wonderful our impromptu night out was, reminded us all how lucky we are to have the venue and staff here.

Had a weeknight dinner here. Beef and Guiness Pie had a great tasting stew but the Chorizo Pasta was a bit one dimensional, just salty and not much other flavour. Service was fast and staff friendly.

Had a booking today there was 10 of us we arrived on time but for some reason didn’t have a table available as apparently someone else sat there and pushed our reservation sign away so we were told. So disappointed as they let them sit there without confirmation that they were the people with the reservation.

Great selection of Irish beer and best onion rings ever. Not a lot for vegetarians, just a veggie burger and a simple salad, but it's an old fashioned pub so it makes sense. Good atmosphere and super busy on Saturday afternoon.

Great pub. Plenty of room. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. So far we have had Thursday night steak special - great value at $19, and another day we had a really delicious steak and ale pie. Would recommend this pub.

Called on for lunch and a beer and review as follows. Service, beers and wine were great. We ordered the sliders and lamb cutlets. First up, the sliders were very underwhelming. The buns were overcooked thus hard and the filling was non existent. Lamb cutlets were beautifully cooked but the peas had to be a week old. 3 stars at best
