Went we where there today for lunch and the place was like people where smoking inside. The smokers area out the front has people smoking out side which i dont have a problem with im not a advocate for no smokeing but i reserve the right that i dont need to inhail someone used cigaret smoke. But all of there smoke from cigarets and exhaled smoke was flowing inside. The place stunk and being a non smoker it was just discusting. Unfortunatly we have already ordered food so we stayed and moved to the dining area but it was in there as well. We where not the only ones as another group dining mention the odour of the smoke was over powering. And they left as soon as they could as well.

went here the other day with a friend for dinner. I ordered the chicken snitzchel and my friend ordered the Moroccan pasta. My snitzchel was pretty good and so filling! However my friends pasta was beyond disappointing. Nowhere on the menu does it say the pasta would be spicy but yet my friend ended up not eating her dish as it was very unpleasant, she mentioned it to the 2 girls that were behind the bar and they just replied by saying there isn’t much they can do about it, by the way my friend only took 2 bites of the pasta so it looked untouched. The girls behind the bar were also on their phone a lot and didn’t seem interested in seeing to customers. This is a local for me and my friends so hope that this gets sorted out, also so sad to see the chicken pasta go off the menu please bring it back it was my favourite

Went for St Patrick's day luncheon at this pub with family. Staff were fantastic, food on the other hand, wasn't. $26 for a small bowl of lamb stew which was so liquid, I would have referred to it as soup. So runny. It needed a slurry of cornflour to thicken the sauce and that would have saved it. Staff were abliging by offering a $20 voucher for another visit. As we were travelling, we offfered it to a young local family who were very appreciative. Sorry, first and last visit for us. 5 stars for the staff. 1 for the food.

We had lunch here today. I had Linguine and my husband had crispy pork belly. They were both large meals and were absolutely beautiful. I didn’t want to waste my linguine and the friendly kitchen staff were happy to give me a container to bring it home 👍🏻

We had a meal for lunch ..it was ok but the vegetables were very hard we couldn't eat them ...the chicken snitzel was delicious

The only thing about the meal that was good was the chips. The barramundi was not good it was like it was slimy, and it tasted boiled, not grilled, and the schnitzel was overcooked. Went out to celebrate a birthday. I'm a single mum, and I wasted $100 on good chips

Rooms were about ball park for the price. Food and beer amazing show me a better $15 schnitzel anywhere in Australia i bet you won't find it. $6 schooners happy hour hit the spot.

Only had one dinner here. The kitchen was down to an electrical fault so by the time it was fixed they were inundated with orders so some of my meal was cooked the way I like it and some wasn't.

I rated this 5/5 on all accounts because although it's not "fancy" it was absolutely perfect for my needs. It is comfortable, clean, has friendly service and the added bonus of a really good bistro. Overall excellent value for money for the solo or business traveller.

Had a voucher given to us that expires mid Dec, but when our party of 5 asked about using it they told us we can’t as they are no longer taking them due to new ownership. Manager was very rude and didn’t want to entertain any discussion, so we left and went elsewhere. Very poor form and will never return. Better hotels in town with better service.

Great meal. Drinks very expensive $15.80 for a can of Ginger beer and a coke zero.
Very disappointed with room. Could feel springs thru mattress and the pillows were flat as pancakes. Would never stay there again.

Great feed, super friendly service, sorry we couldn't stay longer.
We ordered and got our food cooked to perfection really quick. Everyone that served is was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back

Good service, family pub, food available 7 days. Variety on menu. 7-eleven across the road, 24hrs open. On main highway, good launch pad for traveling stop over.
Rooms are clean recently renovated.
Only complaint, they need new TVs

Friday night music bingo is a great night of singing and bingo , 1 of the meat raffle was won by one family member in our group, fish and chips with salad dressing in vingeret was to die for with lemon and Taree sauce. They also amended there bake dinner with special sauce, to added to there menu to state mint sauce . This was really appreciated as customer can not eat mint sauce. Thankyou so much for doing this.

Do not stay here unless you want bed bugs,
The barman didn't even care when I asked for a refund 50 minutes after checking in.

Couldn't split pay, took 25 minutes for entrees to come out. Had no idea what was Gluten free on their menu when asked, no one looked like they knew what they were doing, customer service was honestly rubbish no one smiling and it wasn't even busy. My son's spaghetti tastes like water and tomatoes, my other son had grilled chicken and it was dry and disgusting. And my meal just tasted liked avocado sour cream with garlic I got the beef snizchel with stable topping ...chips were the best part of my meal to be honest.

Cheap hotel so you get what you pay for. Dated bathroom but good shower. Clean room. No wifi. No one made up the room between days. Bistro food was ok. Pic shows the share plate which I didn’t know was all deep fried (not sure if I missed that when reading it, or it wasn’t mentioned). The chicken pieces tasted like they were frozen for a while. Schnitzel was good (not pictured).

Came here for a feed and was not disappointed, had the Mexican schnitzel and it was great. Price of the meal reflected quality and quantity. Will come again next time I'm in the area.

Been going here for years. The kelso was always a great place to take the family for a cheap feed or grab lunch with mates. It changed hands recently. Not sure what the new owners are tring to acheive but the menu has changed, prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down. Very dissapointing. Time to find a new watering hole.....

A classic old pub, refurbished for modern appeal. Serves the common beers, and a few others. Good menu; the Caesar salad was excellent.
There are many areas where you can escape from gambling - the dining hall and a lounge bar provide relief; sure there is a sports bar and a gambling den, but you have to go ito them.

Absolutely 💯 love the southern style chicken burger with chips was soooooooooo good and staff were Fantastic, if you get a chance call in have a meal and a beer 🍺🍺🍺

Absolutely extraordinary burger one of the best and the chips are delicious there food overall is amazing. There interior is very comforting and the staff are extremely welcoming. Easily 5 stars top noch place

1stly the chef needs to learn manners and shouldnt be in the kitchen if he dont know how to cook a welldone almost cremated steak ( well done doesnt have pink in the centre)
2ndly the 4 patties on the 2 Mighty kelso burgers were that over cooked i couldve used them as bricks in a wall
3rdly the kids fish and chips were that oily that it made my son throw up when he got home
and then when i went back the 2nd time after the bartender / waitress said i couldve got a refund the higher manager stepped in and asked the chef if i was able to get 1, he swore that loudly that i heard it over the bistro ( he has major attitude )
