Went for dinner at the restaurant last Wednesday, the staff and service were excellent, we ordered the pork belly for starters, sorry to say it was dry and over cooked, then the schnitzel with creamy garlic sauce, the schnitzel was stacked on a huge pile of overcooked chips, the schnitzel was dry and overcooked the garlic sauce comes in a separate bowl which was like thick custard and hardly any garlic taste, then the salad had no dressing very disappointing! The garlic bread was good ! Sorry guys you can do a lot better!

Very pleasant venue for a quick lunch, lovely view along the river, and very impressed how well the food was cooked from the Bistro. Quite rare to find well cooked, well presented food from a commercial kitchen these days.
Well done indeed.

The worst lamb shanks I have ever eaten.
I am always suspicious when a meal is drowned in jus. I was not wrong - these lamb shanks were swimming. Mondays dinner was probably left over from the weekend and reheated countless times that I almost needed a chainsaw to cut through the outter layer.

The roast of the day was lamb. It was more like old mutton, and it wasn't hot. It came with roast vegetables and roast vegetables in an RSL club that have been under lamps, or in a bain marie for hours, are usually well roasted, these weren't. Soggy carrots and mushy pumpkin. If you were also expecting the staple of baked potato to go with it you would be sorely disappointed, as I was. I love roast lamb and it had been a while since I last had it, so I was looking forward to it.
I won't make that mistake again.
My wife had the prawn pasta which she said was very nice.

The food has improved a lot so much so that I have returned to regular visits congratulations keep up the good work the roast of the day was good the staff are always friendly and welcoming

Stunning view out the restaurant and cafe windows. Best creamy garlic prawns meal I have ever had. Very quick service and lovely staff.

Stopped off on my road trip from Sydney. The Club looks old and run down from the outside, almost looked like a western Sydney factory. Inside a bit more modern . The restaurant was great, had the pork snitzel and wasnt expecting much but it was really delicious and a generous serving to add. Flavours worked well together and cooked perfectly .bravo

Situated on the Macleay river , the glistening water views, make it a perfect place for all the family. Even though, it was very busy, at the bistro, the food was out and on the table in 10 mins..!!
The roast pork was soft, and delicious, and plenty of veges, to make it a complete meal..Next visit, had the barramundi and chips and salad, it was cooked to perfection..
The staff were very polite, and gave out plenty of smiles ,as they worked away..😊
Highly recommended for a meal, to relax and enjoy the view..

Popped in out from heat and what a delightful surprise another hidden gem. Beautiful view, the food was large in portion and cooked to perfection, staff were friendly could not fault the joint. Great reprieve from a very hot day.

Mains were nice but we had to go after we ate them to request the entree they forgot. By the time our entree of salt and pepper squid came it was chewy and bland. Should have gone to the bistro. Restaurant wasn’t great.

It was a busy night but we had the best meal. Thank you to the chefs. Pork roast and 1/2 rack of pork ribs. 😋

Great meal and a good price. Seriously the biggest pork belly I've had for some time and I took a piece home. Mash and veges were perfect too.

Great choice of meals, and they are reasonably priced. Good choice in drinks, including tap beers and a mixture of spirits. The atmosphere was really good with plenty of tables in the din ING area.

Excellent meals and service. Friendly and helpful staff made the dining out experience memorable. Outstanding presentation of the Patagonian toothfish and desserts.

Elle and I went to Kempsey for a Saturday drive. We called in and had a lunch at the R'ee.
The restaurant is a superb space, huge glass windows overlooking the massive river.
The restaurant features nice big chunky timber tables and comfy chairs.
Chef and staff are outstanding.
We had crispy pork belly and veg and Atlantic Salmon.
Awesome, the food is brilliant for an RSL.
Large serves.
We had a couple of Lashes and red wine, all just perfect.
Leigh and the rest of the staff are great and very accommodating.
Go to this iconic venue it's worth it.

Clean and tidy Rsl. Busy the day we went. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Food was very tasty. Had the schnitzel chicken burger and came with chips. Good size meals

Awesome Waterview and food is excellent. Attentive staff .. what a rare find in a small town. It's worth making a special stop when you travel up and down M1

Arrived 20 minutes before close after a last-minute decision to go out for dinner.
Service staff were friendly, and the entrees were quick despite still being busy. Oysters were delicious, as was the cheesy bread, our mains quickly followed our entrees, and the flavour was spot on.
My steak was overcooked but still relatively tender.
my partners snitzel was large and moist. Halfway through our meal, the kitchen started to clean down at the end of service. This process, unfortunately, was paired with excessively loud rap music that contained a fair amount of course language. The language wasn't an issue for me, but there were a number of elderly people still in the dining room, and it is an ex services club.
Fortunately, a thoughtful younger member of staff turned it down to the dismay of the more senior staff.
